The Pit (1981) and Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971) are some creepy movies.
I'm assuming you've seen The Funhouse (1981) and The Wicker Man (1973).

Satan's Blood (1978) - only 612 votes on IMDb Virgin Witch (1972) - only 805 votes on IMDb seen both of those for the first time earlier this year and both are within my Top 248 movies. i gave em a 6-6.5/10. there is some more i like but those two would be the height of the batch of more obscure horror types of movies i have seen in fairly recent memory. p.s. i noticed The Pit (1981) was mentioned above and that's also a movie i seen earlier this year that i liked to and would basically qualify as being obscure given it only has 1,684 votes on IMDb.

"Basket Case." Has a special place in my 80's roster. If you've seen this and dig it, "Ghoulies" isn't a bad way to follow it up.
"Alligator" is good, too. And brutal. Gloves are off for some of the deaths.
"The Keep" is exceptionally atmospheric. It's a little slow, but a great watch.
80s remake of "The Blob" is terrific. There's a slight mean streak in it that I miss in modern horror.

RITUALS would be my first choice. Rare Hal Holbrook starring outdoor thriller where 5 doctors are stalked by an unseen killer.
Often compared to Deliverance but rather unfair-it is a completely different kind of story.
