The most visually interesting characterization of the Thing (not a big comic book fan, but the fact that he's the only member of a crew that came home from a trip to space where his friends get superpowers and he winds up hideously disfigured is an intriguing setup for a character). Chiklis did it alright, but the CG was much better in the recent version.
The Thing is the only interesting dog in the hunt for me in any "Fantastic Four" iteration. I think a "Logan"-style character study has the potential to be good with the right cast/direction. He's a pretty tragic/angry/isolated character who has quite a bit to overcome.
