I hope he will be as Good as both John Williams (EPISODES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) and Michael Giacchino (ROGUE ONE).

I'm excited for this score. Han was rare in that even though Williams did the leitmotif Wagnerian approach (every character has a theme that is manipulated to accentuate their feelings and emotions...Leia is an excellent example...and why shouldn't she be, she's got a fantastic theme!).
Han never had a theme. He was also skeptical of the Rebellion, Force, and Empire...all of which had themes.
Looking forward to what Powell will do.
I never thought I could do a Star Wars movie without John Williams, but Giacchino demonstrated otherwise...he killed it. Was respectful to the older and established themes, but still brought his own thing to the table.
Powell's a solid choice IMHO
