Must win for Milan, currently mid-table in 9th place with 12 points, 4 wins, no draws, 3 losses, facing undefeated archrivals Inter who are sitting pretty in 2nd place with 19 points, 6 wins, 1 draw; 5 points behind Napoli with one game in hand. If the Nerazurri win they will be only 2 points behind the leader. If the Rossoneri win instead, they are guaranteed to leap ahead of Torino and Bologna for 7th place, and could be ahead of Sampdoria as well (the latter has played only 7 matches so it would depend on their next one), and tied in points with 5th placed Roma (who also played only 7 times). Milan continue to be irregular, with big name Bonucci still performing poorly since he joined the team, unlike his previous form when he was being considered for the Balon d'Or as one of the best defenders in the world. Montella's seat is hot - if he loses the Derby, fans will ask for his head on a platter. 80,018 tickets have been sold, causing the sales to break the money record for the stadium at staggering 4.6 million Euro. Read about it here, if you speak Italian: www.goal.com/it/notizie/inter-milan-un-derby-da-record-dincassi-oltre-46-milioni-al/17z2515hggj7x1pejlml2tikod40 broadcasters will be showing the game in 180 countries. I'm excited.

It looks like I'm talking to myself; Serie A doesn't seem to be very popular here. At 15 minutes, still 0-0; Inter playing much better, though, with a crossbar hit and more possession.

Bonucci fails in defense again, and it's Inter 1-0.

Yeah, Serie A is a long way behind the English and Spanish top flights in terms of overseas popularity.

Yeah, Serie A is a long way behind the English and Spanish top flights in terms of overseas popularity. I like it and the game has been great. 2-2 now.

Inter takes it, 3-2, after an iffy penalty call with 89 minutes of play. Poor Milan, they got robbed.
