Hey Admin, why not finally putting something different in the front page and in the title? The page layout looks so generic. Making a way better front layout would appease to even more newcomers. |

I'm not deleting anything, I'm just moving some boards to clean up the home page a little bit. Phew. For a second, I thought we were gonna lose the wildly popular 1940s television board. Don't scare me like that. |

It's confusing why there is "General Boards" and "General Discussion." It was easier before when I was on Soapbox and I wanted to go back to Politics that I could hover above General Discussion (Or was it G. Boards?) and Politics was there in the list. Now I have to go back to the home page. Old IMDb had "Favorites" which made it easy to navigate. We can't bookmark on this one. Not complaining because there are bigger things in the world to complain about and navigating around on a msg. board is nowhere near as bad as walking 5 miles through desert heat to get a pail of water. Just sharing observations and feedback. Do with it what you want. The General Discussion board was implemented to stop people from using the "I Need to Know" board for general questions, questions about life, the site, IMDb, users, etc. it was at the top, so that's what people were using. I only occasionally went to Soap Box and Sandbox on IMDb, but I got the sense that those were more hardcore versions of General Discussion. All three probably don't need to exist, but once a community has been built, it's sad to break it up. Perhaps the Admin has different thoughts, though. |
