Which version of "Aliens" do you prefer - the Theatrical Cut or the Special Edition?
The special edition has those extra scenes about Ripley's daughter, sentry guns, life on the colony before the alien infestation, etc.

The Special Edition. I think the additions are worth it; Even just the establishing shots of the Sulaco prior to the Marines being woken up.

Either version is great, but I do prefer to watch the Special Edition

I think the theatrical is way better paced, but the SE has some great stuff that was lost (like Ripley's daughter). A cut that is something in between with the necessary material from the SE but without the fat would be ideal. As is, I might say SE, but it's tough.

I'd personally pick theatrical. The only stuff really that I thought should be back in the film was the stuff about Ripley's daughter. I'm OK with all the other stuff being cut out.

I love the stuff with the sentry guns. That stuff isn't bad at all, but I think in the end you can lose it and not miss anything important.
I think we already get the impression how relentless the aliens are.

I always prefer theatrical cuts of every movie. If a scene wasn't good enough to make it in the first time around, don't waste my time padding the movie with it later.

Theatrical because while there are some very good scenes added I feel they got it right the first time.
