Although I had seen many fist fights in the movies, I was having a hard time thinking of who fought whom, and in which movie. Since playing that game, I had an opportunity to see The Big Country again. I noticed that the fight that Gregory Peck had with Charlton Heston was one of the best of its kind. The two fought each other until they were both worn out--in the moonlight and with no witnesses. The camera pulled back and showed the fist fight from a distance. And. when they hit each other, the sound sounded more like flesh hitting flesh rather than the usual Hollywood sound of fist fights. This--to me is a classic movie fist fight.  |
