Right now, hip pain. Hurts like hell, sometimes as much as 7 on the 10 point scale.
Makes it extremely difficult to drive.
Doctor prescribed Mobic and Tylenol Arthritis formula.

I don't know if I've ever had really bad physical pain. I've never broken a bone (maybe), and I've only had a cut that required stitches once. I never had kidney stones. Never had appendicitis, etc. I've not had pains worse than stubbing toes bad (though I did that bad enough once, while hiking, that I'm pretty sure I at least fractured my big toe . . . I only realized that later).
I had my hand slammed in a car door once when I was a kid, but it wasn't bad enough to break bones or anything. Can't remember much about the pain of that.
I wiped out pretty bad on my bike a couple times, but not bad enough to break any bones.
I've taken martial arts on and off my entire life and ive certainly been hit, thrown, etc., but nothing that I'd say is really bad.
And I've hurt my back (initially from being thrown in martial arts) where on one relatively recent recurrence it took six months for it to be back to normal . . . that occasionally flares up again--just happened again in the past year, but I wouldn't say it's that bad, just annoying.
I don't know if I don't have a high tolerance for pain, though, because it's not unusual for me to have a cut or bruise that I didn't even notice getting.
When I was younger I suffered much more with being sick. I used to have asthma really bad. I've had pneumonia a bunch of times. I was in and out of the hospital constantly as a baby, a couple times where they thought I might die. From my perspective, though, that (as a kid and teen) was also just an annoyance. It would crush my groove re stuff I wanted to do.

SAVE FERRIS Physically painful? I had a stone once. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like someone had hit me in the lower back with a baseball bat. And the pain was constant and would NOT subside. I thought I was dying!
Of course I went to the hospital in the middle of the night and they ended up not really doing anything for me, and I passed it later that day, anti-climactically I might add. And that was it. But for about 12 hours it was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life.
Did I ever tell you about the night I spent projectile shitting AND vomiting? Another story for another time...

Having my ear syringed. So painful that I actually went into shock. Never again.

Me either. Try to drink at least a half gallon of water every day to help reduce the chances. I do take in a lot of salt and caffeine though, which doesn't help.

First kidney stone. Left me bent over, unable to straighten up because it hurt too much. Couple that with the reason WHY the stone formed... Dehydration to the point of puking every 5 minutes.
Never have your cheeks waxed, girls. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Never get eloctrolysis on your face while on your period, girls. 💫

I fell once while jogging when I was a teenager. I hit the pavement...HARD. I scraped my arms, elbows and knees. I was in constant pain for a week. It burned like hell when applying rubbing alcohol to disinfect the wounds. I literally bit into a towel the entire time. I did go to the ER afterwards to check for broken bones. I had none.
I also fell a second time again about one year later, but I managed to land on the grass, so it wasn't as bad.
I suppose the next thing on my list would be an inguinal hernia operation that I underwent, but the doctor prescribed me painkillers. It was tolerable.

Well, one time I had my teeth whitened and the dentist goofed because my teeth had lots of fillings and the chemical seeped inside. For a couple days it felt like someone had a candle flame under my teeth. Not even Tylenol extra extra strength by prescription only could dull the pain. Finally it stopped because the nerves died-he had to give me 2 or three root canals.
And my teeth didnt get any whiter.

My ankle got broken because of a car accident. The doctor initially said it was just a bad sprain and put me in a metal cast. It was hurting so bad I took a codeine tablet to relieve the pain. Fifteen minutes later I was puking my guts out. I found out the hard way I was allergic to codeine. The orthopedic surgeon I went to said I had shattered my ankle. I had to wear a cast on it for eleven weeks. My ankle will never be the same.

I have to narrow it to a top 3:
1. Sat down in my backyard porch chair and somehow slipped a disc in my back. Excruciating pain sitting for a while, then I stood up and passed out in my yard in the rain. Luckily my dad was there to help me up and to bed. Couldn't walk for the rest of the day, but was practically fine by the next.
2. I used to get ingrown toenails in my big toe as a kid and the only way to get them out was for my doctor to numb my toe and cut them out. Those numbing shots hurt insanely bad for a good 5 seconds before they kicked in. I once lived with an ingrown toenail for a year because I refused to get another of those shots. Finally had an operation where they injected something in the sides of my big toes to permanently stop the nails from becoming ingrown.
3. I've had chronic migraines for years and they're always miserable, especially when they decide to last for a week plus.

Many years ago, back spasms the next day, after me and another guy helped this old bag move her 1000 lb dresser just a few feet--paralyzed with pain next morning--started walking the next day, and have been virtually pain free the last 8 years

I was in the hospital for abdominal surgery. After the surgery, without warning, I had a coughing fit and ripped my stitches open and let out one hell of a scream. Only time I've heard/seen a nurse running in the hospital.

Another incident: I once had a car door slammed on my fingers when I was a kid. It really really hurt.
I don't recall if it was painful, but as a very young kid I had petrol splashed into my eyes. Luckily, my parents reacted clearly and no damage to my eyes occurred, but I recall it being traumatic.

A couple years ago I broke off part of a tooth leaving a gaping hole in it. It was one of my back teeth so it wasn't visable and it wasn't hurting, so I decided to put off going to the dentist to get it taken care of. A few months later I woke up with a throbbing pain in the entire right side of my face. It was beyond horrible. Needless to say I got in and got the tooth removed ASAP.

Earlier this year I had a large weight plate fall on my foot. Thankfully I had a shoe on, but still, it hurt like a bitch. Some of the most intense pain I've experience in a long time.
