William SpierGoldenAgeRadio.comAn article from around 1949: William Spier audio interview (1970)(To download: right click, then "Save as") An interesting and very rare interview with William Spier, done for a Hartford Conn radio station in 1970, with emphasis on OTR. Spier's wife June Havoc also appears. Features long clips from some OTR shows, as well as frequent reminders about the dining specials available at Hartford's own Rib Room.

Thanks for posting this, Dr. Kimble.
That was AM radio station WTIC. Dick Bertel was its creator and co-host.
I was able to arrange an interview for him with then-Connecticut resident Robert Montgomery, with whom I was organizing a film tribute.
Montgomery and Spier extended 'Suspense' to an hour-long program in 1948.

You're gonna have to tell us more about your glamorous adventures in show biz. Post Bertel here; post the Montgomery on the CFB.

But did you ever eat at the Rib room?
No, but I once had lunch at the Russian Tea Room with Sydney Pollack and Dustin Hoffman (I ordered the Spam Florentine).
