Shakedown, the 1988 action thriller starring Sam Elliot and Peter Weller is getting the Shout! treatment. A really cool and wild actioner this was. Haven't seen it for quite some time, so I'm really looking forward to this blu ray release.

Haven't seen it for quite some time, so I'm really looking forward to this blu ray release. Thanks for the info about this overlooked 80s action adventure getting a blu-ray release.  I remember watching it many years ago on late night cable TV, and enjoyed the ridiculous stuff that went on, and I thought Sam Elliot and Peter Weller worked well together. I then ended up a few years later, finding a scandinavian DVD copy titled: Blue Jean Cop but the picture and sound quality was not exactly fantastic, more like poor VHS quality, just re-released on DVD. So, I might just have to upgrade it, and hopefully it will be all worth it. Anyway, here is a pretty cool tribute/music video of the film along with a classic feel-good 80s power ballad. |
