You were not born gay. There is no way you could possibly know such a thing and it goes against nature. If you were biologically born gay and that is natural, how is it you can only procreate with someone of the opposite sex? This is not about religion or any other social deviancy. This is about the truth. No one is born gay. They become gay because of their surroundings and life experiences, most of which you would never remember. That doesn't mean people aren't gay but this lie told that people are born gay needs to stop. If you genuinely believe what you have written in the above post jamesavalon I can only conclude you are either A: Mentally Challenged and Barely Educated, B: Brainwashed by Lunatic, Homophobic Parents and Relatives since Birth, or C: a Manipulative Sociopath with a Radical Right Wing Fundamentalist Christian Agenda comprised of Fear, Ignorance or Hate.
Guy, A good friend of my family - who we have known since he was a boy - is a hugely successful gay man who has worked his way to the top of the corporate ladder and is now a top executive with the Mercedes Benz Company. His mother, Claire, now 80, a passionate committed christian who doesn't believe in evolution, did not even know Guy was gay until he came out to her at the age of 30.
Claire, who quickly got over her shock and still loves Guy as much as she always did, is a close friend of mine and a highly intelligent and capaple, if sometimes blinkered and self involved, woman, who is still working as a book-keeper for a law firm, but we have different views on lots of things. I never realized that she didn't know Guy was gay.
I must point out at this stage that Claire, although bizarrely unaware of her son's true sexuality for so long is not and has never has been a homophobic person who was vehemently against gay men and women.
However Clare, her late husband and their two children, Guy and Kate, would spend every summer with us when were children. Not that he ever told my middle brother or I in so many words back then, but Guy knew he was gay from the time he was about five-years-old, and my younger brother and I (who were aged about 10 and 12 when Guy was five, and are both heterosexual) knew even then that his true sexuality was different to ours. Call it intuition, but I assure you we knew. Were my brother and I so much more intelligent and perceptive than you were at that age jamesavalon?
I should also mention to you that I grew up in one of the most reppressive, racist and conservative countries in the world - ruled with an iron fist by one of the cruelest, uncoolest governing parties in history.
My working class parents, however, taught us to love, respect and accept everyone; even their more "flambuoyant" male friends and associates, and female relatives with close-cropped haired and severe shoes. Well, I stopped reading your post. But, of course I believe it. It is about the science. It makes no sense that a person is born gay.

Aye, I am also a member of the Nazi Party, I organized the founding of the KKK, and had a hand in the Crusades. It's just a fact. ....liberals like you are so absurdly deluded it's funny really, yet this kind of idiotic thinking controls Hollywood and pop culture in general. How can you tell when a CON is lying? Her lips move. It’s an old joke, sure, but still very relevant. Most recent example: Monica Crowley. She was on Hannity’s hate-talk show yesterday and called her sudden departure as so-called Pres. Trump’s National Security Spokesperson “a despicable, straight-up political hit job, OK?" She had been forced to resign after Politico and CNN exposed many instances of plagiarism in her Ph.D. thesis, her new book, and newspaper columns. Crowley unleashed this whopper: “"It's been debunked, my editor has completely supported me and backed me up." Nothing has been debunked and her book, "What the (Bleep) Just Happened?", is no longer being offered for sale," publisher HarperCollins said in January. Hannity, a person who has made a good living for about 30 years by lying, naturally allowed all this to go by without a challenge. True, conservatives do lie but they are rank amateurs compared to liberals. Liberals lie ALL THE TIME. Not just here and there but ALL THE TIME.

....I am not a Trump fan. Or a conservative. The whole point of my post was to point out the absurdity of the liberal claim that anyone who dares to disagree with them automatically falls into their pre-concieved notions. First, let's talk about "liberal." Since the American people elected their first black President in 2008, conservatism has become the most extreme and exclusive and harmful to people since the Civil War. That is what "conservatism" is. In today's political parlance, "liberal" has come to only mean "NOT right-wing extremist." That's all. If you consider yourself a reasonable, thoughtful, common-sense, Reality-based political thinker, then you are an extreme libtard by today's definitions. As for "liberals" automatically slotting anyone who disagrees with them into pre-conceived slots: I always tell exactly WHY I disagree (e.g. the negative impact right-wing policies have on ordinary working people) and explain the underlying conservative philosophy that drives those policies (e.g. contempt for the poor and working poor). Your use of that right-wing Talking Point (and talking points and bumper-sticker slogans about "liberals" is about all conservatives have to offer anyone) automatically slots you into the extreme right-wing camp. How's that working out for you?

There's been a lot of talk on this thread about religion and "sin" - which is fine; anyone who wishes to live their own lives according to whatever tenets they choose is free to do so - and about "imposing" or "forcing" an "agenda." I have no desire to argue directly with those of closed minds, but of course, no one is "imposing" or "forcing" anything: buying a ticket to, and viewing, the new Beauty and the Beast is just as much a choice as which religious teachings to follow, and everyone is free to make it for themselves. It is, however, those wishing to exclude from popular entertainment any ideas of which they disapprove - by limiting that entertainment to portraying only those ideas of which they do approve (to the exclusion of all others) - who would actually be "imposing" and "forcing" an "agenda" by eliminating those choices. It's really quite simple: Don't approve of it? Then don't do it/buy it/watch it/etc. Putting oneself in the position of deciding for others which of their choices "should" be removed assumes that of oppressor. I wasn't comfortable with participation in a poll presenting only a yes/no binary on a "should" question, so I offer these observations in its stead. I hear what you are saying Doghouse6, and respect your opinion, but would ask you from the very depths of my heart to reconsider your stance and give a YES vote. I gave overnight consideration to your entreaty, jc, and was nearly to the point of entering a "yes" vote, thinking, "It's just a message board poll that doesn't go anywhere, conducted by someone looking only for validation of his prejudices, so where's the harm in voting?" But I was then stopped by this thought: "What if the question was, 'Should kids & family movies have anti-gay religious messaging?'" I can't in good conscience say that I think they "should," but neither can I decide for others that they shouldn't, so I have to stick to my principles. If provided a third option, such as "It's up to the artists to decide whether to include them, and up to consumers to decide what they'll watch," or even a rephrasing of the single question to, for instance, "Should the makers of kids & family movies have the freedom to include gay characters," I could have participated. But what Conspirologist presents is what Marisa Tomei so eloquently described in My Cousin Vinny as a bullshit question, and being forced into an invalid metric by someone with an axe to grind is something I - even, and especially, as a gay man - must reject.

How does the fact that there are gays/lesbians constitute "madness?"

How does the fact that there are gays/lesbians constitute "madness?" Homosexuality means brain dysfunction. Brain dysfunction means madness.

As you might know, the new Beauty & the Beast movie by Disney has a gay character. What do you think about it? Have the liberals gone too far? Personally i strongly disagree. Kids & family were the only movies where it was possible to relax from the every day madness. Are you saying that not having gay characters made it possible to relax from everyday madness when watching such films?

I am a heterosexual female, and people's sexual preferences are none of my business.
You sound like a real sweetheard. *sarcasm heavily implied*

Well, I'm not a conservative, and I can guaran-fuckin'-tee you I don't "lie all the time" -- if ever!! Just cause Trump has you under his "media is bad" spell doesn't mean you should anxiously assume your words expound your bias as fact. Cheers! Yes. Really. Liberals lie all the time. They have to. They have nothing left.
