I'm at a loss for words here. What was the point of the movie then? Wasn't the movie supposed to lead up to the show and the movie was acting as a big budget pilot? I'm so confused by this.

The movie tanked and now they have to try and get money out of this potential franchise with a show. I can only hope they don't screw up the show as badly as they did the movie.

If they plan on telling the complete Dark Tower story a series is much more suited to it than a movie.
