It's okay. I remember it getting alot of flack for being political, and yea the message is like a sledgehammer to the scrotum. But it's entertaining for what it is. The visual fx and action is good. Matt Damon is good as the hero but man, Sharlto Copley is having a blast as the villain and is so much fun to watch. The one thing that really perplexed me was Jodie Foster. It just didn't seem like the type of movie she'd be in. Someone like Meryl Streep or Helen Mirren might have been better.

^^^ Yeah, its definitely just an okay film. Very preachy BUT the action sequences & CGI were aces imo . Damon's character could have been more likable but overall I think its worth checking out. 6.5/10

I haven't seen it. Is it a good film? I wouldn't say its good--seems that all the trashy people left on Earth(which is one big depressing slum) are Spanish--Elysium is some White paradise that looks like Beverly Hills and Palm Beach--meanwhile there are no black people either on Earth or Elysium lol--and Jodie Foster is miscast--Elysium itself is impressive enough technically, but the movie is just weird

Not exactly! Elysium logic makes no sense plus the movie diversifies rich and the poor. It was supposed to be in the future. It seems stupid that the rich have made moved to a fully equipped space station capable enough to save the world but they make no effort to save the dying world.
