Sarah Conner Chronicles, which was actually kind of decent. The actual sequels they made after 2 were all equally terrible, but in completely different ways. It's almost impressive.

Salvation. It at least tried something different. Rise of the Machines did have awesome action but everything else was just boring.

They were walking around in broad daylight the whole damn movie. It didn't "feel like Terminator" to me. Innit? At least three had the hot Terminator.

They should try a Noire approach to the Terminator, much like the first movie.

While I wish that Terminator Salvation followed the vision of the future a little more closely, I still felt it did a good job of telling the story behind it all and I even kind of like how it is sort of a Mad Max/Terminator combination in tone. The third film is almost self parody and it is just the same story told a third time. I will admit that the ending is awesome though. Terminator Genisys is just grasping at straws and feels even less like a Terminator movie in tone than Terminator Salvation imo. It's a movie that was pooped out just because Arnold came out of retirement. Terminator Salvation is the only sequel that has any point to it. The story had no reason to go on after T2, because it is implied that they stopped the rise of the machines from happening at the end.

So we have 3 (fairly stupid, totally unoriginal movie; good ending) and 4 (somewhat interesting execution and a unique if contradictory take; intellectually insulting let-down ending) as kind of a "yin-yang" of disappointment, and then 5 as just a total bust/turd. Innit?

Innit? The big difference is that I think Terminator Salvation is very entertaining and well made for the most part. The writing is the problem with that movie but I did really like the stuff with Sam Worthington and the action scenes are pretty bad-ass. I think it is interesting how Cyberdyne tried to make a half human/half robot as an experiment but he ended up siding with the humans. That part of the story is really what wins me over and come on, the part where cgi 80s Arnold is revealed is fucking great and the fact that John Connor has to fight him is even greater. I think he was the first uncanny valley character creation. You also have to remember that Terminator Salvation takes place some 5 years before what we see of the future in the first 2 Terminator films. Cyberdyne still hadn't corrected most of the cyborgs they created and the T-800 is only just created at the end of the film. One more big problem with T3 is the Arnold is too old and looks ridiculous most of the time. He also seems to be phoning in his perfomance and Nick Stahl is a pathetic John Conner. Say what you want about Christian Bale's performance but he actually looks and sounds the part.

TERMINATOR 2 - 8/10 TERMINATOR 1 & 3 - 7/10 TERMINATOR 4 - 5/10 TERMINATOR 5 - 3/10
THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES' 1st season was enjoyable, but its 2nd season was boring.

Luckily the new Terminator movie will start where Terminator 2 finished.

Terminator Genisys
1.T1 - 9/10 2.T3 - 8/10 3.T5 - 6-6.5/10 4.T2 - 6/10 5.T4 - 5/10 (Thumbs Down)
p.s. the other one listed (which is a TV show) does not even count simply because it's not a movie.

The Terminator 10/10 Terminator 2: Judgment Day 10/10
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 6/10
Terminator: Salvation 1/10 Terminator: Genisys 1/10
What a weird series. Went from one extreme to another with one mediocre movie hamburgered between.

I'd say Terminator 3 would be the third best. It was one of the first ones I've seen. Still nowhere near as good as the first 2, I would agree, but I had fun with it.
