He's not in my top five favorites, however I think Terrence Malick would be best suited. He captures emotion, beauty, and the mundane gracefully.

Malcolm Otton. He directed mediocre but fairly entertaining Australian classroom films during the 1950s. These short educational films were decent but nothing special, but sometimes are insightful.
