Is it because they suck naysayers into plotholes? Blade Runner at least is aesthetically pleasing.

Which one? The new one?
Anyway, the movies were well made, the characters were sympathetic and one reason why I liked them is because of my misanthropy. Having said all that, the finale was quite bland in comparison to the first two films.
