Note: for the purposes of this thread, a "feature film" is considered to be any film running 45 minutes or longer (I realise this definition is not used anywhere except IMDb and this thread).
If you wish, you can also include TV movies, straight-to-video films, and even straight-to-internet films.
I've watched 25 feature films so far during 2017.
How many have you watched?

to me a legit movie is at least around 1hr20min or higher (around 1 hr or less to me seems TV show level). so by that standard...
Total movies i have seen from Jan 1st 2017 through March 3rd 2017 = 62 movies
a bit more detail...
Jan = 13 first, 17 re-watch Feb = 21 first, 9 re-watch Mar (through Mar 3rd) = 2 first, 0 re-watch
Total viewings = 62 movies First Viewings = 36 movies (58.1%) Re-watches = 26 movies (41.9%)
so currently my first viewings are ahead of re-watches which so far is a bit surprising as every single year i been keeping track (i.e. 2012 to date) re-watches are ahead of first viewings and that trend has been increasing year after year so far. but it's still early in the year so that could easily reverse by the time the year is finished.
p.s. in regards to the topic... if you want to talk strictly movies that are considered a 2017 released movie = only three movies so far.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the details of everything i have on record (i actually started logging all movies i see Dec 27th 2011 but when looking at full year date it's, obviously, only 2012 to date)...

I'm never sure if I'm more impressed or perplexed when fellow movie aficionados keep detailed notes on how many and which movies they watch daily. I don't even have a definitive top 10 favorite movies because it's too hard to pick 10 and how do you judge which ones you like better than others?
Anyway. Since there's been roughly 62 days so far in 2017 and some days I watched no movies and others I watched several I'm gonna say 42ish?

Concerning my perplexed or impressed conundrum, as far as m Slovak is concerned I'm going with perplexed.

poelzigi been doing it since Dec 27th 2011 (even though the general volume of movies i watch started to increase quite a bit basically around 2003+(in 2003 i would have been 23-24 years old)). but i kinda do it partially out of curiosity to see how many movies i have seen and how many movies i see on an average week over a longer period of time etc. but with that said... i can see some people considering this a bit obsessive though but i like these kinds of statistics. p.s. i edited my initial post to show all of the data i got in terms of that particular subject. This is a good question. but ill say this... at the moment there only happen to be ten movies i gave a 10/10 so obviously those are my Top 10 movies even though i have no precise order on them because as you said after a certain point it just becomes too difficult to narrow it down further which also plays inline with how i made 'My Top 100-ish movies' and 'My Favorite Movies' lists. both lists are nearly the same except the top 100 list only includes movies i scored a 7.5-8/10 or higher (which is currently 109 movies) where as 'my favorite movies' list includes all movies i scored a 7 or higher which is 199 movies. but these lists are not limited to a certain number of movies as they grow or shrink purely given the volume of movies that score in those given score brackets. but with that said... i suspect you might be wondering how i did it but what i did to make it easier is simply list my 10/10's down to my 9's and then SOLID 8/10's and then 7.5-8/10 and then my 7's bracket without any precise order on them even though, obviously, movies that score higher i like more than the ones that score lower. but given the way i got the 7's section setup in My Favorite Movies link you would be able to tell which movies scored a 7-7.5/10 vs which ones are a 7/10, or a 6.5-7/10. but like i was saying i did not want to get into that much detail and just gave those wondering which movies stand out for me the most then all they got to do is check my favorite movies link as that will be updated when things change be it adding movies or removing movies. ill even quote what i posted on 'My Favorite Movies' list link... so as you can see... i only split up some of things even though i could have done more in that i could have made a separate bracket for my 7-7.5/10 vs 7/10 and 6.5-7/10's etc but i did not want to put too much detail in that list and only separated my 7.5-8/10 from my solid 8/10's and higher as it just felt right. also, i don't restrict ratings just to restrict them as things score however they do for me and that's just the way things played out for me. it just happens there is only ten movies i gave a 10/10 even though there used to be more but they have since fell off etc. but anyways, even amongst score brackets i can probably say i prefer one movie over another occasionally but if i actually tried to put a precise order on everything in my favorite movies list it would become way too difficult and i would have never finished making the list as i already got enough time put into it. but as a general rule for me... anything i score a 7 or higher is amongst my favorite movies which is currently 199 movies out of the 2,025+ total movies i have seen. i still like 6/10 level movies, and do re-watch them once in a while, but it's my 7's and higher that tend to see the most re-watches as my 7/10's and higher tend to see at least one re-watch every few years-ish at the latest with some being seen a bit more often than that. but with all of that said... after you have seen a lot of movies and re-watched quite a few, which i have done, you can generally tell about where things score and i adjusted my ratings accordingly as to me it makes no sense to score a movie pretty high only to never re-watch it again as for me i ultimately judge movies based on enjoyable and re-watch factor as movies i won't re-watch cannot score above a 5/10 for me and movies i will re-watch cannot score below a 6/10 for me. so with that info it's not too difficult to make a favorite movies type of list.

about 40 I think.
I'm keeping a list myself after leaving IMDb but there I only have the last 18 movies I've rated.

37 first-watch features (one with a IMDb date of 2017 and two of the Oscar nominated short film programs included) and one independent short film.
