.... play in the Highland League. At the end of season 2015/16 they finished bottom of the 18 team league with 4 points and a goal difference of -149 16/185. Twice during that season they conceded double figures. Last season they finished 16th with a goal difference of -69 37/106, an improvement This season, after 13 games, they lie 8th, with a goal difference of +10 34/24, an amazing transformation. During the summer the club decided that wholesale changes were required and the squad was mercilessly turned over Only a few survived the clear-out and the current success has them now thinking that next season, they might be good enough to challenge for the title which has been the preserve of a few teams for years. Attendances are on average less than 250, not surprising since the town's population is around 1250. Entry is approx £6-£8 or for £20 you can get 4 pints (2 before/2 after) pies and access to the boardroom after the game
I "adopted" them a couple of years ago They were so awful I fancied that they could do with all the help they could get, even a Glaswegian living in Canterbury. I'm investigating membership of the supporters' club and the purchase of a team strip (Orange). I've never had the opportunity to visit Mackessack Park but it is on my "bucket list"
