It's philosophical tone ? Btw surprised that Pimpin liked this song But what if they don't get the lyrics? Heck, even I don't claim that I get the lyrics. I guess part of it is their respect for the Legendary hero Raj Kapoor and the sincere voice of Mukesh. Also, I think that this song, having meaningful lyrics, is performed in schools by kids.

well, a colleague explained the meaning to me. im not sure if he is right. and i like it because it is a really good tune. im no fan of RAJ KAPOOR. but he does have good screen presence. and yes, MUKESH is a damn good singer.
