These guys are so smart but sometimes so dumb, specifically Roger Ebert saying that the director's cut of Blade Runner is so complicated that nobody can even explain what's going on. That is during his review of The Crow. One of the funniest ones is when Ebert actually talks Siskel into changing his thumbs up rating to a thumbs down rating for Broken Arrow. A movie that I like actually. www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuX9k_V0ifnPrydCDaYIM4_PxW8LIP1Y5

My Number 1 Favorite Siskel & Ebert Movie Review is of " POLTERGEIST III". That one is pretty funny. "The name Carol Anne is said 100 times in this movie"

I found myself cheering Ebert as he defended Boogie Nights and Taxi Driver to the disapproving Siskel.
Wow, I used to like Siskel better when I watched Siskel & Ebert back in the day, but watching the Boogie Nights and Taxi Driver debates just now, I totally disagree with Siskel. Ebert defended them beautifully.

Ebert defended them beautifully. I love Boogie Nights but I have no problem with Siskel not praising the film as highly as Ebert. Siskel did give the movie thumbs up after all and he was being honest with his review. Subjectivity is everything.
Taxi Driver is a bit harder to understand and I personally didn't really understand Siskel's complaint. It seemed to be just because of the very violent ending.
Ebert has a lot of strange opinions too and in many cases I agree with Siskel more than Ebert. Usually I agree more with Ebert though.
