Hi Stefancrosscoe
Thanks. I have returned now and I have still got the flu and was hoping it would be gone by now but I at least don’t have to worry about being well enough to go to work this week with the Lockdown and that is one of the only good things about it since everything else is pretty depressing and our Premier confirmed over the weekend she won’t be able to hang onto that 30th date now like she had planned ‘cause the numbers keep rising and were at 141 cases yesterday and we have now gone over 2000 in total since our latest cluster began. We have also had another 2 deaths in New South Wales and one of them was a woman in her 30s with no preexisting conditions and it is worrying hearing about how young some of these people are getting who have gotten very ill and died of the Delta strand and no age group is really safe anymore which is why need to be careful but some people don’t care like the Anti-Lockdown protesters who decided to storm the streets of Sydney on the weekend in numbers.
57 of them were arrested for violently assaulting Police and horses and there was one protester who got a friend to take a photo of him punching a horse in the face and then put it on his Facebook page to brag about it and while I am not a fan of the Lockdown either and will be annoyed if it lasts all the way to October like our Premier said it could I don’t think being violent is going to solve anything and they have most likely made this worse ‘cause if just one or two of them had the virus it will spread to more people and the Lockdown will go even longer than it should have. It will be said if your country has to go back into Lockdown again soon too but with how careless some people have been with the Social Distancing rules around the world I sadly wouldn’t be surprised if quite a few countries end up going back into Lockdown once again like us ‘cause they make going to public areas into what we call ‘Super-Spreader’ events here and are very selfish when it comes down to it.
Sad to hear that things is not getting much better down in Australia at the moment. I think I just this morning, read something about Sydney being locked down, for another month or so. I fear this might happen soon, in several cities in Norway as well. Yesterdays news, considering the increase in covid cases and the fact that it is still summer vacation, and lots of people will be back soon, I think it will take a while until it the numbers get stable/balanced, but it is not looking too good for now here either. I think some smaller places, has gone back to having customers wear masks and keep a distance, and yeah, on top of that, there seems to be quite a problem with electrical bikes, some nasty injuries (specially including drunk people at night) but not many days ago, an older man died, after crashing his electrical bike to the ground. Also, the increase of these vehicles, (I believe there are somewhere between 20 and 40,000 of them around, or way more) and so many irresponsible and naive drivers, so it has gotten to the state, where ambulance personel, must drive slower than usual, when trying to reach people who are in bad need of help, in order to not crash into these el-cycle drivers, who seems to have no understanding of basic traffic rules in the big city. Also, the pavement, roads in Oslo, are surely anything but impressive, and somehow we like to think we are closing in on more typical bike-countries like Denmark when it comes to riding bikes, instead of driving cars in the cities, but the roads is nowehere good or safe enough, and the whole country is not "flat" like Denmark or Holland, we are a country full of ups and downs, mountains and fjords and so on, but the whole bicycle culture, that so many politicians wants to bring forward, and increase the cars, it is not gonna happen over night. Back in the day, I remember that my dad had lots of stories from the 80s, when the police in Norway were infamous for not exactly being to "easy" on the more violent and nasty protesters, where some tried to be violent against the horses, by throwing glass bottles or punching them, and my dad told me of a rather amusing story (most likely not that fun for the guy who were used as a human pillow), when a large police horse, all of a sudden, decided to sit on this protesting thug, until the police could put him in chains. Did you hear Our Country and New Zealand officially pulled out of the Rugby League World Cup? You were saying how dangerous thought the crowds were at some of the Football games in the UK a few weeks ago and it looks like our officials agree with you ‘cause they pulled out due to the Coronavirus concerns and I think that is for the best ‘cause the last thing we want is for our Football players to go over there and have one or two of them come back with the Coronavirus especially after we got this Delta strand from returning overseas travelers. We still have a big shortage of the Pfizer vaccine here and our Prime Minister announced he secured 85 Pfizer Booster shots but that isn’t going to help us much since the we are not going to get it until 2022 and 2023 and it is the Prime Minister’s fault for not getting more of it earlier and he had the chance and knocked it back. I am not sure if we will be able to get two jabs this year when we can get it or we have to wait until next year.
I am glad you got to go to a second hand store the other day and enjoyed yourself and we still have a few of those around here – well, we did before this Lockdown and might have less when it’s over but some other places I like to go to get old books, albums and movies are the Markets and Fairs and are there any of those near where you live ‘cause before the Coronavirus we had some of them regularly and others we would have every few months and you would be surprised how many old albums they had at some of the Fairs in our state especially up near the Coast still wrapped in plastic and I got Eps and singles with rare tracks you can’t buy anymore from going to them. I usually go to Fairs and Arts and Crafts festivals with my Aunt and Cousin and there is a big Arts and Crafts Festival we have once a year but sadly for the past two years it has been cancelled due to the pandemic and hopefully it is not cancelled altogether ‘cause they have had to stop having it but my Aunt thinks it will be back.
Looks like the Olympic Summer Games, is moving on as "usual", even if there have been lots of protest and not very supportive vibes coming out of Tokyo and its inhabitants, as of recent times. I have not seen much of the games, as they send the program mostly in the middle of the night, and I still am a bit "hung over" from almost a month of European Cup Football earlier this summer. Also, not long, until the Premier League and other European Football leagues are back in action, either. I am still wondering how long, it will last, playing in front of fully crowded stadiums, or if this will suddenly go back to where it was, for the last 10-12 months back. Sadly, the Corona situation, has most likely put an end to most of the local Markets and fairs, at least in Oslo. I did actually begin to visit them, far more frequently, back in 2018-19, but of course now, there is little chances of that taking place this summer-fall. But you never know. Some of these markets, have some crazy customers. I mean, the image of Arnie, trying to run through a bunch of other people, to get first inside the store. That is how some behave, when the doors open to these local Markets and fairs, and it is usual older men and women, not the younger ones. I always wonder what they believe might lie in store for them, gold, diamonds? I saw back in 2019, a man in his late 60s, almost running down a little girl, her mum shouted at him, and his continued on, like his life depended on it. I usually tend to avoid that kind of mass hysteria, it is just not worth it. I like to arrive, a bit later on, when things have cooled down a bit. It would be nice, if the local school Market would be back to date, as it usually is in the late of fall, into mid-late November month, so I will just have to wait and see. Usually I look for VHS tapes, comics, books and CDs. I did pick up a few classic Disney animated tv-shows, of the late 80 and early 90s, through my recent visits, and it seems like there is quite a lot of love, for these childhood favorites among people in my age group these days. Wow. I didn’t know the food prices were so much cheaper in Sweden compared to Norway you have people travelling to Sweden to buy food and have your food prices always been that high or was that something that changed in the last few decades ‘cause the price of food has gone up quite a bit here in the last two decades and there is never any explanation for it or for why things are getting smaller and smaller all the time and we are just paying more for less. That is good you got to go to Sweden in December 2019 before the pandemic and that must feel like a very different time to you now ‘cause it feels like this pandemic has been going on forever and I miss the days before the pandemic too but I know how lucky we have been compared to other people. I am sorry to hear Norway had a national disaster a decade ago that took away a lot of innocent people’s lives due to the actions of a terrorist with crazy beliefs and it is sad how people like that can brainwash other people into following them and they will be loyal to them and not question a single thing even long after they are gone and they prey on the weak and disillusioned by using their fears against them along with their anger.
I have heard a lot of movie and TV Shows use special artificial snow instead of filming scenes when it is really snowing ‘cause it is easier and not having seen snow up close it isn’t easy for me to tell if it is real or fake ‘cause some scenes where I thought it was really snowing turned out to be artificial and I think most of it would be CGI now but I saw some behind the scenes features for older TV Shows and they had fans and machines that blew the artificial snow and rain down on the Actors and I think the funniest thing in some Christmas movies is how when the characters sing a Christmas song it doesn’t matter where they are the music will suddenly play with them too and you are left wondering where the music is coming from. Thank you for answering my question about Snowman and Snow Fights and building snow castles sound like fun and is it easy to build things with snow or do snow creations fall apart or melt easy if you bump them? I imagine making big Snowman would be harder to do but if you can make small ones you can at least make them which should still count.
As long as I can remember, the term "Harry-handel" or "Harry-shopping" has been used towards those, who several times a year, travel over to Sweden and shops like crazy, but of course, not everything is cheaper or better in quality, to what we have in Norway. Still, smoke, alcohol, candy, meat, milk, bread and a whole bunch of other stuff, is usually way more cheap in prices than back home. Of course, candy, smoke and alcohol is not exactly what I would describe as "food", but it sure is one of those items, you can be sure, will 9 out of 10 times, be on the shopping list, to most of the norwegian customers. I did a bit of crazy overshopping, when it comes to candy, but I have realized, that I do not have the appetite for that kind of sweet stuff, any more. And when I do purchase it, I tend to go for more "quality" candy, like the earlier mentioned, danish chocolate/marzipan of Anthon Berg, or darker milk chocolate, that is up to 86 percent and with much less sugar included, than the normal chocolate bars. Yeah, it is scary, and just the other day, on the news, it was about a young man, who back in his teenage days, got hooked onto some rather scary right wing propaganda, and how easy it is for some people to get dragged into that negative path, specially those seeking out the lonely, insecure and angry ones, who wants to vent out their anger towards something or someone, and yeah, thankfully that young man, had a very wise and caring mother, who saw what was going on with her young teenager, and took action, before it got way out of control. About snow castles and snow men, I think back in the winter of 1993 or 94, we built a very large one, that lasted for almost 2 months, until it started melting and downing in size and shape. So, yeah, if the weather is right and stable, it can last for a long time. Of course, it can easily go the other way, as well. I remember we built a very neat looking attempt, at a combination of castle and cave, it looked awesome, or so we kids thought. Then just 2-3 days later, it was all over, as the weather got warmer, and the snow melted fast. But, for a while, it was like the best snow castle/house, we had ever made, and we felt so proud. Sometimes, the snow is very light in shape and how it feels when you touch it or walk on it, other times, it is like walking on cold butter or glue, it sticks to your shoes and clothes, and then you have the more heavier version, which you could almost feel, when it comes falling down from the sky, and lands on your face. But these days, I would gladly take any kind of snow, instead of none, at least during Christmas period that is. They have been showing the floods in Germany and Belgium on the news here too along with the big wildfires near California too and both look horrible and I feel sorry for all the victims and hope unlike our Federal and State Governments their Governments do more to help them and at least keep their promises ‘cause a lot of people here who were victims of the bushfires especially were forgotten and our Federal Government were assholes and they chose to play Politics with it and delayed support to areas that voted for the opposition (Labor party) and then claimed it was the Council’s fault and they hadn’t completed all these documents and one of the Mayors who had kept everything too them to the cleaners with it since he completed everything and they sent it back to him with nothing and the Federal Government then had to keep their word but it was ridiculous he had to do that and when it comes to natural disasters it shouldn’t matter who voted for who and every area should get help.
Being a Reese Witherspoon fan one of Kiefer Sutherland's movie roles I am most familiar with was in 'Freeway' and he was a real nasty piece of work in that and I don't know if you have seen that movie but would suggest you check it out if you haven't 'cause it is one of my all time favs and Reese was fantastic in the role of Vanessa and she is very different than she is in most of her movies. Another Kiefer Sutherland movie I saw where he was the main star was 'Desert Saints' and that still gets played every now and then on Foxtel and I thought he was pretty good in it and was surprised to find out it was produced by Meg Ryan. Jack Bauer was the role that transformed him into an Action hero much like 'Taken' with Liam Neeson and it was insanely popular here too especially during its first few seasons and every season was like one long 24 hour movie since every episode was in real time and took place over 24 hours. The format was very different at the time and changed the way a lot of other shows done things that came after it but I think it suffered sometimes from not being able to use flashbacks and having to stick to one day 'cause you would go from one season to the next which was months or years later and there was so much that happened between the seasons that was never explained.
Freeway I believe I have seen, might be years since I did, but it had a bit of the Little Red Riding Hood feel to it, if I am not mistaken. I think they even made a sequel/follow up, which I have not seen. Yeah, the 24 series, seemed to be one of the most successful and influential shows after the 9/11, and I guess they also made a few tv-movies out of that show as well. I like the fact that Kiefer Sutherland kind of went on well, with never quite breaking through as a leading man but instead found his home, as a character actor. And he seemed to have done well in the villainous part, but nice also to see he got on well, as the good guy too. Not many seems to be able of doing both, and is far too often typecasted, for most of their careers, which I guess is better than nothing, but for an actor, it must be nice to have more to show for, than just playing the same guy, every film. If you ever get around to watching the show one thing you will notice is Jack Bauer always beats the bad guys () and it doesn't matter how the odds are stacked against and how many terrorists there are Jack never gives up and always takes them down at the end. He even takes down a corrupt President in one season that had all these people out to kill him and had the former President (David Palmer) and two of the other agents assassinated. After it ended it came back for another season a few years later called '24: Live Another Day' which had Aussie Actress, Yvonne Strahovski in it). I loved Ally McBeal, Buffy, Angel and Dark Angel and there were quite a few TV Shows on around that time that are still my favourites now and another one of them was ‘Alias’ which was kinda similar to 24 and I have lost count how many times we have re-watched that on DVD but Jennifer Garner was amazing as Sydney Bristow. I was surprised and disappointed when ‘Dark Angel’ got cancelled ‘cause I thought that would have lasted for at least 5 seasons ‘cause it was a good show and even though the second season wasn’t as good as the first a lot of fans still liked it and a third season could have been better.
I also thought there might have been a chance for ‘Dark Angel’ to come back one day ‘cause Jessica Alba loved the show and was vocal about wanting to reprise her role but I think too many years have passed now and if we see it again it will be a reboot with new actors like the CW Network have done with the new series of ‘Charmed’ but I come across article about ‘Dark Angel’ getting cancelled a few years back and it wasn’t the ratings that got it cancelled and had to do with James Cameron and a lot of people at the network thought he was difficult to work with and was too demanding. You have a good point with that GIF file from 'Jingle All the Way' and I liked that movie and think it is one of Arnold's best roles in a Comedy movie and did you know there was a sequel to it with Larry the Cable Guy? It is strange how they bring out sequels to movies like that so many years later with different actors and no connection to the original movie and there was also a sequel to 'Kindergarten Cop' with Dolph Lundgren which was the same type of thing. When I used to drink I would drink Vodka and I would get different flavour Vodkas from the Liquor Store and they had chocolate, strawberry, banana, caramel, pineapple, peppermint, Iced Coffee etc or I would have Diet Coke with Scotch and I never the taste of beer and wine either and I was hoping wine would taste like grape juice but it didn't taste like that to me and was pretty awful. See, I am coffee drinker and we have heaps of different coffees here like Mocha Kenya, Espresso, Indulgence, Ristretto, Dark Roast, French Style, Italian Style, Intense, Gold Intense, Hazelnut, Strong Cappuccino, Mocha, White Choc Mocha, Lattes and Caramel Lattes to name a few and do you like coffee?
Thank you for answering my questions again and I think the box set you have of the later 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' movies is probably the same one we got and it is a strange franchise and I wonder what the creator thought of what they done with the movies 'cause I know how Clive Barker felt about the later 'Hellraiser' movies and has asked people not to associate his name with that shit () and hopefully now he has got the rights back he will be able to fix it and he wrote his own sequels to the first three movies as graphic novels with Kirsty returning and I have read some of them and his novel, 'The Scarlet Gospels' and liked them a lot more than the movies made after 4. I agree with your thoughts about 'The Howling' franchise and I love the third movie and it is more of a Horror Comedy than the others but I think it is pretty enjoyable if you don't look at it as a sequel to the original movie and view it as its own thing. Yeah. The 'Spider-Man' movies by Sam Rami are worth re-watching and we re-watch all three of them and enjoy them even though 3 was not as good as the first two and I was disappointed we didn't get the fourth movie Sam Rami was working 'cause I read he had nearly finished the script but needed a little more time to make changes to it but Sony wouldn't give him more time and from what is known about it is 4 was going to have Black Cat and Vulture as the villains and Sam has said he originally planned to make 6 movies and wanted to make a 'Spider Woman' movie too and Bruce Campbell is said to have been his choice for Mysterio in what would have been the fifth movie. Anyways, it has been nice catching up with you again too and thanks and I look forward to your next reply and hope you have a great week. I did not know of the Cameron stuff, but that he could be quite a handful, yeah, that is most likely very true. Sad, because it costed such a fun and entertaining show, a potential third season. Anyway, Alba went on to become quite a household name for herself, where as Michael Weatherly became an even bigger tv-star, with his part in NCIS, which I am not sure is still on, but damn, they have made quite a few seasons, must have reached almost 20 seasons now? I think it started around 2003, and it is one of those shows, that just always seems to go on at night. I tend to watch a few of the older ones, but the newer ones, not so much. I actually picked up the Kidergarten Cop 2, with Dolph Lundgren. It was not one, that I were too impressed by. I am a bit of a Lundgren fan, at least of his older films, of the late 80s and into the early 90s. But he has had quite a comeback, if one could say so, over the years, and seems to show up, in all kind of films, not just DTV/VOD releases, but huge budget movies, and I thought he were one of those who delivered the best roles, in the first The Expendables movie, and really enjoyed his scens with Jet Li. Sadly, the sequels kind of got a bit too uneven, and still fun, but the first one, I felt were easily the best of the franchise, not sure if they will go on and do any more. No, I do not drink coffee. I am not sure why, but I guess it has just ended up as one of those "grown up" things, I never got used to, even if everyone around me, specially in my family, drinks a lot of coffee, they have not managed to "convert" me into a coffee drinker, yet. While it has been a time since I re-watched the Hellraiser films, at least the first three, I really enjoy those, even if it is quite a drop, from the original, towards the later ones. Nightbreed is another favorite, and one which I like more than the first Hellraiser movie. Bruce Campbell as Mysterio, now that could have been something, but sadly, I have a feeling the producers or money men, were not gonna agree, thinking they needed a bigger movie star. I just recently re-watched the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) movie, and had such a blast doing so. Of course, I saw it along with me eating a whole lotta pizza, as one should, when watching these films. I really feel it is one of those movies, that still not have gotten the recognition it so very well, deserve. For me, among the very best of the superhero/adventure or comic books movie of the 80s and 90s. And a lot of it has to do with the fact, that it brings forward, a lot of heart and love for the original source (the black and white comics of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman), and really showcases how unique and special each of the (not just the Turtles them selves) characters in the film, really were. For me, it was not just childhood nostalgia talking, but I think looking back, it has held up, because it managed to combine comedy, drama and action, but just about finding the right amount of those ingredients, not going too far, too often. Something which sadly, would be the case with the sequels. I was gonna watch Turtles II as well, but I thought it would be nice, to spread it out a little, take on thing at the time, and not just watch everything at once. Again, I caught myself "amazed" at how time flies. Already wednesday, somehow it feels like a monday, might have something to do with the weather and all. Anyway, you be sure to have yourself a great weekend, and hopefully things will be better by then, and that you are rid of the flu for now. About the first Turtles movie, one scene that still gets to me, is where Master Splinter is trying to reach out, to his angry son Raphael, and it is such a well done and beautiful little part, where a caring father, is trying to share a bit of wisdom onto Raphael, and there are several of these nice moments, spread out, where Splinter also does something similar, where a young and trouble teenager (Danny) is told about how "All fathers care for their sons", and then to more comedic situations, like the Casey Jones and Donatello scene, where they share insults to each other, or Donny and Mike are waiting down in the sewers for the pizzadude, and he better not be late. Hi Stefancrosscoe
How are you going today and did you have a good weekend? Sorry for taking a bit longer to get back to you but I had a lot of emails to reply to when I was on Saturday and I haven’t been able to write to people at the speed I usually can while I have been sick but I managed to reply to more than half of it on Word and another one of your posts on Film General which I am going to pot this afternoon and I am not feeling as sick as I was the other day. Things aren’t getting better in our state though and we are continuing to head the wrong direction with another 239 new cases in the last 24 hours and then on Thursday we hit record numbers and since then we have been staying up high and it doesn’t look like we will be going down anytime soon. It is very disappointing ‘cause it is like the more restrictions the Premier introduces the worse things get unlike last year where new restrictions resulted in cases going down until they were nonexistent and they have got the Army in now ‘cause too many people are still not taking the rules seriously and are having mass gatherings at their houses and fines have been doubled and I didn’t think it would come to that.
It is unknown how long the Lockdown is going to last for here but many experts don’t think it is going to be over by the end of the month ‘cause the numbers would have to drop significantly for things to change and I hope you don’t have the same happen in Norway that has happened here and they can get any clusters under control before they spread but since it only takes one infected person for it to spread around a large portion of a state that’s not easy to do and I can see why you are worried over people coming back from their summer vacation. I think going back to people keeping their distance and wearing masks in public places is the best thing you can do now ‘cause this Delta strand is worse than the strands we had last year and there are so many young people who are in intensive care and our Doctors haven’t seen anything like it and are saying nobody is safe from it this time which is why it is important to follow the rules. I mean I hate knowing I’m not going to be able to see my Niece for her birthday this month unless things dramatically improve but I know I am doing the right thing and if I can do that others can too and we have to deal with the people who are deliberately spreading it knowing they have it and the ones who think it is okay to have mass gatherings.
By electric bikes do you mean motorbikes ‘cause I have been on the back of one of those a few times and didn’t enjoy it that much () and Beccy used to have one but she got rid of it and my Uncle had one when he was younger too and he drove it through his parents back fence () and my Aunt said he was a danger on one an used to do crazy things to impress his friends. That is sad an old man died after crashing his to the ground and we don’t have many bike accidents in our area but that is ‘cause not many people have them here compared to how many people drive cars which makes it easier for those of us that do to get around in the day. I am surprised to hear how popular they are where you live and that is a HUGE increase in people buying them and is there a reason why they have become so popular recently where you live? We do have our fair share of irresponsible and naive drivers and there have been multiple car and truck accidents in the street behind us at night and we always hear the sound of the crashes and the ambulance coming later.
One of the main reasons we have so many car and truck accidents in our area is too many drivers are not watching the road and are looking at their mobile phones instead and one time I was taking Occy and Sally (our Malshis) out for a walk and we had a car nearly run us over ‘cause the driver was doing that and have you ever seen a truck drop its load ‘cause that has happened behind us () and left a huge mess and they had to clean it up ‘cause people couldn’t drive down the road and it also made a huge bang when it happened and scared the crap out of me () but the biggest bang we have ever had was when one of the factories in the industrial area not far from us had an explosion early in the morning and it made the news headlines later that night. That is interesting about Norway being full of ups and downs and mountains and fjords and it is mostly flat where we live but we do have some ups and downs and the road down to my Grandfather’s farm is really steep and goes right down and I used to always close my eyes going down it when he took my Sister and I there before he sold it.
Beccy and I have watched some of the Olympics and I don’t know if you heard the sad news but Sally Fitzgibbons and Stephanie Gilmore lost and Sally was very upset over her loss but Stephanie said she is going to try again next time and they done it pretty quickly compared to the WSL events and Beccy thinks they should have extended it for the Olympics. Owen Wright won a Bronze Medal though and that made us happy and even though she is not Australian we are fans of Carissa Moore and weren’t surprised when she won ‘cause she is one of the best in surfing today. Owens’s Sister, Tyler Wright is also a famous surfer and has won a lot of events and a lot of people think she will be in the Olympics next time but she couldn’t get in it this time ‘cause she only came back last year after having a whole year off surfing due to Post Viral Syndrome which plagued her with chronic fatigue but Tyler won her first event back on the tour and appears to be back to full health now. One of my favourite wrestlers, Bray Wyatt/ The Fiend got released from WWE on the weekend and I am still surprised over it ‘cause he was one of their most popular wrestlers even though he had been off TV for a while and they had been advertising his return at events for this month and a lot of fans think it was a bad call.

I am sorry to hear the Coronavirus has put an end to most of your local markets and fairs and it must be difficult for the people who run those ‘cause they are told they are not allowed to have them and then they can have them again and now they can’t have them and a lot of Artists and Bands had just started touring again when we had our latest outbreak which lead to the Lockdown and hopefully all of them in our countries will survive. We have been lucky to avoid a lot of crazy customers but I have heard stories from family and friends about their bad experiences with them and it is surprising how many of them are old people and they will walk along with trolleys and literally run them into people to get them to move out of their way and here is something really odd, some of them will take things off the shelves they have no interest in buying and hide them so certain people can’t have them and that is pretty evil thing to do and have you heard of that happening? With some of them I don’t think they really care what is in the stores as long as it is on special and if it is on special they need to have it so nobody else can.
Yeah. A lot of animated Disney TV Shows from the late 80s and 90s is still fairly popular here too and did you hear Disney are making Live Action movies of ‘Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers’ and ‘Duck Tales’ Live Action movie of ‘The Little Mermaid is coming too? I am looking forward to seeing them and am very curious if they are going to use real ducks in ‘Duck Tales’ ‘cause that would look really funny and cute but I think they will more likely do something like ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ and the ducks will be animated but the rest will be live action. I know some people haven’t been fans of Disney making a lot of their animated movies into Live Action movies but there are some I would love to see such as ‘The Aristocats’, ‘The Fox and the Hound’, ‘The Rescuers’ and ‘The Great Mouse Detective’ with real animals and I have said to some other members on here I think we should have more cat movies for cat lovers ‘cause there are heaps of dog movies but not many cat ones (and the cats one with Taylor Swift doesn’t count and a Live Action adaption of ‘The Aristocats’ could be a start. Thank you for explaining that to me and getting things cheaper here doesn’t mean they are better in quality either and it’s usually the opposite and smoke and alcohol aren’t food but I would say candy is – not exactly a healthy one but still a food.
The thing a lot of panic shoppers didn’t think of here with over-shopping until after they done it was food and drinks goes out of date after a while and there were HEAPS of them having to throw things out last year like milk, bread, vegetables, fruit and meat ‘cause it went out of date and to teach them a lesson our shops wouldn’t take it back and you would have thought they would have learned from that but not long ago when it was announced parts of our state would be going into Lockdown again we had people doing it and then complaining they couldn’t sell it. With Candy I like the soft jelly type of lollies the most and I don’t like hard candy much and Beccy and I used to eat some of that when we were younger but don’t now and do you like chips and other similar types of snacks like Twisties, Cheezels, Burger Rings and Cheetos ‘cause we like to have some of those every now and then and one of my old favs, Tasty Toobs is coming back very soon and Beccy and I used to eat those when we were kids and they stopped selling them here and then they came back in the 00s and stopped selling them again around 2012-2013 and we have missed them since and have they got rid of any of your favourite foods and brought them back years later?
Far Rightwing propaganda has become a problem here too and only seems to be getting worse lately and I don’t know if you heard about the Christchurch Massacre in New Zealand but the guy behind it was sadly one of our Australians who went over there and killed people and he was motivated by far Rightwing propaganda to do it and was found to be a member on far right websites and just recently it was let out on the news a lot of the Anti-Lockdown protests here have been organized by Far Right fringe groups online from other countries like England and Germany and some are telling people the media is evil and the Coronavirus is something they made up to control everybody and we have had Journalists attacked and threatened by them going home on their way home. The new Fringe groups are crazy but their followers are growing in numbers and they need to be taken seriously ‘cause they just grow bigger when they are not and that’s good the Mother of the young man was able to action before things got out of control ‘cause young people are the ones they want to manipulate the most.
Thank you for answering my questions about snowmen and snow castles and that is good how some of them can last up to two months depending on the weather and I wouldn’t have thought that they would be able to last that long and it can be upsetting when you are young and something you work on melts away like that and I have had similar experiences with sand on the beach and my Sister and I would build things with sand sometimes and then the tide would come in and knock them over and wash them away and we had try to build them up to save them but the waves would always win (lol) and we lost some things too in the sand that got washed out to the ocean. I thought you might have seen ‘Freeway’ and it was loosely based on the original darker version of ‘Little Red Riding Hood and I thought Reese Witherspoon was fantastic in it and I saw the sequel years ago and remember being very disappointed in it ‘cause it wasn’t very good and Reese didn’t return for it but I always thought a sequel based years later with a grownup Vanessa played by Reese Witherspoon again would be fun but is sadly unlikely even though Reese is doing ‘Legally Blonde 3’ and possibly ‘Sweet Home Alabama 2.’
Even though Kiefer Sutherland never really ended up breaking out as a major leading Actor in movies I think the success he had with ‘24’ was actually one of the main things that changed the way a lot of movie Actors saw television ‘cause after that there were quite a few Actors that mostly done movies that made the switch to TV like Patricia Arquette with ‘Medium’ and now we have got a lot of Actors who are open to doing both movies and shows. It was sad what happened to ‘Dark Angel’ but Jessica Alba did go on to become very famous and was often on the covers of magazines here and I haven’t watched ‘NCIS’ but I did hear Michael Weatherly was on it at one point and I think he might have got a spinoff show from it too but I don’t remember. One other actor I do remember in ‘Dark Angel’ was Jensen Ackles who later went on to have his most well-known role as Dean Winchester in 15 seasons of ‘Supernatural’ and a lot of people don’t remember he was in ‘Dark Angel’ and only remember him in ‘Smallville’ and ‘The Young and the Restless.’ As somebody who watched it from the start I am still surprised how many seasons ‘Supernatural’ went for and have you ever watched a show that has gone that long?
I am sorry to hear you didn't 'Kindergarten Cop 2' and I didn't it was great but it was fun seeing Dolph in a more friendlier type of role and he has had a long career in the Action genre going back to when he played a henchman in one of the Bond movies and I think he could pull off the main villain role in a Bond movie. He has been very active lately and I have heard he has turned to writing too and wants to write his own movies and has got a lot of his Actor friends like Van Damme and former WWE superstar, Steve Austin ready to work with him and did you know he played one of the main villains in Season 5 of 'Arrow?' Thank you for answering my question about coffee and coffee is not for everybody but I love it and do you like tea 'cause most people I know that don't drink coffee like that instead but I am not much of a tea drinker and prefer Iced Tea over warm Tea. Thank you for the videos too and I will talk about 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' with you next time but I will end this one before it gets too long but wanted to write you a long one today since I took longer to reply than I planned and it has been nice writing to you again and I hope you have a good week and look forward to catching up with you again.

Nothing to apologies/be sorry about, I fully understand that things might not always be smooth and easy, and days or weeks are more busy and the time is not all there, so yeah, I have had a bit of that experience the last 6-7 days, but hopefully things will cool down a bit for now. I am actually not all bad today, the days are getting "shorter", the summertime is closing down fast, getting darker and chillier outside, but of course, the summer could easily hit back, long into the early september with tempratures and sunny days, but I am kind of glad it starts to get more colder and darker at night, as I prefer to sleep in that kind of enviroment, instead of very hot weather, which is not my ideal night time weather. I am sad to hear (I guess since you last posted, things might not have been going for the better?) to hear how it is in Australia, and I believe I just recently saw or read up some negative frontpage in a norwegian newspaper, about the situation in Australia, and yeah, it does not look like positive things is happening right now. Sadly, it is also beginning to be more of the same increase in several cities in Norway, some where the increase is rather high, and this is in smaller cities, and yeah, people are coming back from their holidays, and next week the school is back, so I guess the next weeks might be an interesting time, and will just have to see what happens next. Anyway, I hope you are safe and getting better from the cold/flu you had, I think from last time we spoke. I am not sure what the name or word is in english, but they might be known as similar to Segway bikes, not the usual looking bicycles, but one where you stand on, with both your feet, and are electrical driven. The have surely exploded for the last 2-3 years, since first beginning to appear in the public eye, but the roads and pavement is often very varied in "quality" and the small wheels might easil get stuck in holes and cracks in the ground, and yeah, it is a wonder, there has not been far more serious injuries these last months. Oh yeah, just a few days, I was leaving my local gym and were heading over the driveway/crossing the road, but of course looking if it was all clear, and then all of a sudden a taxi cab driver just suddenly rushed over, and if I had not noticed him (maybe wearing headphones or looking down at my phone, or something like that) I would have been hit by the driver, and most likely killed. What made me angry, was that the driver was talking in his phone, while it was in his hands, and he were not even looking at the street or noticing me, but all the attention were directed to the phonescreen. I tried to memorize the driver number, but I was so angry , right there and then, and he rushed off so fast, that I did not remember every number. I wish I had, so I could call the workplace, as I remember his face, and pretty much everything about he colors/details of the car, but yeah, when it comes to numbers or digits, I am not that good. Sadly, this kind of awful drivers, might one day kill a person trying to cross the street, or get involved in a serious or huge car accident.

Well, now the Olympic is over, and well, since it was on and aired during most of the time, when (us norwegians were aslapp, usually in the middle of the night) I never really got to be very updated on what went on, but of course, I did caught up with Norway winning 4 gold medals, 3 in running categories, two which I believe caused quite an upstir, as both Karsten Warholm and Jakob Ingebrigtsen set new records and specially Jakob at the 1500 meters, and who beat the favorite by some distance, and is only 20 years of age. Warholm however, was probably the favorite, but many though Rai Benjamin at the 400 meter hurdles, would be a solid competitor, but Warholm seems to be on another "planet" these days. It is very interesting to see such young ahletes dominate so much, in sports that well, Norway is usually not a summer Olympic nation, more ski and winter Olympics, so nice and motivational to see that things is about to change, big time. Now, I am kind of trying to look forward to the opening of Premier League in England, but somehow, I just feel kind of I am not sure, "numb", I guess all the football and sports entertainment has gotten a hold of me, and I am almost exhausted from it all. But, as always, this will most likely change within a few weeks.
I have not been to updated on what is going on with upcoming live animated/version of Disney features, but I liked the idea of The Great Mouse Detective and The Rescuers, two of my favorite Disney movies the 70s and 80s. I guess as long as the money comes in, these films will keep on getting made, but would be nice if some were really good, or better. Had a bit of an extra "snack" this weekend, ate lots of chocolate, and I guess maybe it is me getting older, and my taste has changed over the years. But I do seem to prefer dark chocolate, more to the lighter one. My stomach seems to agree as well. I run a lot, and have no problem with taking a long or shorter run outdoor, after eating some dark chocolate, but the lighter and sweeter one, it causes me to get all "gased up", like a floating balloon, but it is not very comfy to run with that kind of stuff in the body, and so I try to keep it to minimum, at least if I know I will be doing some heavy or longer excersize within the next hours. Most of the brands/names of the candy/cips you bring up, I guess is not very common to find in my local stores, but I do like to eat tortilla chips, every now and then. I guess I am more of a salt and pepper kind of guy, than one who prefer the sweeter stuff. Oh yeah, some things you loved once, tend to suddenly disappear, without no trace. Only to make a comeback, maybe a decade or more later on. Sometimes, under a new name or brand behind, but it is basically the same stuff, still, sometimes you get very excited and nostalgic, but then you end up tasting it, and it is just not what it once was. Something is a bit off, either in flavour, smell or the design. One of my favorite frozen pizzas from the late 90s, I believe is probably a swedish brand (Findus) but the name was Bake Up Pizza, and it came with two or three differents flavours, one with pepperoni and pinapple, the other had mushroom and bacon. I tried to search for the package they were delivered in, but I found an old 1998 tv commercial, in swedish: I am not sure if this one will ever get the chance of a comeback, at least here in Norway. As it began to disappear back in late 99/early 00. But yeah, lots of good memories from late movie nights, birthdays and just hanging with friends, stuffing this easily made junk-food dinner into the oven, and 15-20 minutes later, you had yourself a treat. I noticed the chips bag, and the whole "limited edition", that is a classic. I have seen that kind of marketing, so many times. And it usually means, "buy as many as you can, because we will soon be gone for good" but in many cases, it is often stuff that is there, still almost 20 years after they were supposed to be all "limited". Of course, some products do die away, very fast, where as others caughts on with the customers, and is surely more beloved. However, I some products seem a bit too greedy, always trying to come up with new stuff, all the time, but sometimes I think they should realize that they are overcomplicating things, people are usually after the safer stuff, what they grew up with, and not many will stray away trying something new, all the time. And a lot of the new stuff, is just really terrible tasting or not very good products to begin with.
The sad thing about right or left wing propaganda, is that it is the whole it is either them or us, mentality, nothing in between, and this will sadly only continue on, as many of these young terrorists, often are lone wolves, seeking for a place to call "home", at least in their sick ways, and could easily have ended up on either of the right of left wing sides, and I believe this was the example of some of the ones here in Norway. Lonely or tragic people, with very dangerous and unstable attitudes, and who were already from the young age, not quite "normal", and somehow the grown up or relatives either did not pick up this behavioir or bothered to care, and it ended up in tragedy for so many innocent people. I were not aware of another Legally Blonde movie, but nice that Reese seems to be doing well, I think she had quite a tough time a while back, but I guess it has turned for the better. Sandcastles, I am not sure if I ever managed to "sucessfully" build one myself, but I do remember at least attempting quite a few back in the day. Lego Castles, now that was more like it, I loved the Lego Knights and the whole medieval theme back in the early 90s, where you could either follow the instructions, or let your fantasy go for a ride, and see where it leads you. My favorite Lego Castle, surely has to be the Black Knights Castle, from 1992, which I purchased with my own saved up money, and it was the coolest Lego building/playset I can remember of the early 90s. Had so much fun with it: Even though Kiefer Sutherland never really ended up breaking out as a major leading Actor in movies I think the success he had with ‘24’ was actually one of the main things that changed the way a lot of movie Actors saw television ‘cause after that there were quite a few Actors that mostly done movies that made the switch to TV like Patricia Arquette with ‘Medium’ and now we have got a lot of Actors who are open to doing both movies and shows.
I very much agree on what you are saying about Kiefer and how his success and performance came during a time, where I guess many did see it as "under their" belt, to appear in a tv-show, but now days, the whole tv-format is maybe even more powerful the the movie industry, or so it feels at times. Of course, with streaming, video games and the whole last 1 and a half year (more or less) situation, things have become more likely, even tougher for the movie business, where as tv industry maybe are going on with better results. Yeah, Dolph seems to be a very creative kind of guy, I am not sure how many films he has written or directed, but I bet there is quite some he has contributed to over the years. I would love to see him and Sly team up, maybe for something outside the Rocky or Expendables franchises, and where Dolph might be the good guy, and Sly the baddie. Not much of a tea drinker either. But iced tea, that sounds good, specially during the hot summer time. Since last time I posted her, I did re-visit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991), which I thought still included some nice nostalgia, but where the quality surely were not as visibible, so to speak, as with the first film. I have yet to re-visit the third film, and might also get another view of the 2007 animated movie, which I think is considered to be part of the same movie universe, as the first three films. Well, that is it for now, and I will try to be a bit faster the next time, with my replies. Until then, I hope you have great week/end, and see ya around.

Hi Stefancrosscoe
How are you today and how has your week been? Thanks for being understanding and I can relate to having busy weeks and some days I plan on doing all these different things in one afternoon but then one or two of them will take me longer than I expected and slows me down with everything else and that happens on here every now and then but I always try to keep up to date. I am glad you have not been bad and I have been feeling a lot better myself the last few days – thank you for asking and this has been one of the best weeks I have had in a while ‘cause I have been able to see my Sister and my Niece (Courtney) thanks to our area having a few small restrictions eased which allow us to have one visitor at a time at our houses and my eldest Niece is coming here tomorrow. I have missed seeing all of them during the Lockdown and it has been really hard for us and worse than last year and today is Courtney’s birthday and while we can’t go over my Sister’s house and spend it with her I’m glad I got to spend a few hours with her yesterday and I gave Courtney her presents and let her open some of them early while she was here and we got her a cake too which she loved.
Sadly for the most part things are indeed not looking too positive for our state and are getting worse and we had 344 new cases yesterday and just the other day we had 356 cases and four deaths which was the worst day we have had on record since the pandemic began last year and the Premier thinks the Lockdown isn’t going to end until November now ‘cause the numbers are too high and there are not enough people getting vaccinated and she has added more towns to the Lockdown like Lismore, Dubbo, Byron Bay and Ballina due to them having clusters in pubs, hotels and restaurants and I have a Cousin who lives in Lismore and is she is not too happy about it ‘cause the reason it is spreading to them is ‘cause of people living in Hotspots traveling to other towns when they aren’t supposed to be and I think we need stronger fines for them. At this point I am going to be very lucky if I can return to work before the end of the year ‘cause even if our area gets free from the Lockdown early the town I work in is having a lot more cases than we are and will most likely be in Lockdown longer than us.
Because things are still so bad at the moment Beccy and I have decided with visitors it would be safe to only have my Sister and her family over and my Sister is doing the same with us and when it starts to improve and the numbers drop we will invite some other people over but at the moment I think it is too risky and we don’t even know how long this new freedom is going to last and we could be back to not being allowed to have anyone next week. I am sorry to hear you have had an increase in cases in several cities in your country again and with the high rate it sounds like it is the Delta Strand since it moves around so much quicker than any other strand we have had and with people coming back it is most likely going to add onto the numbers especially with young people. Thank you for explaining what electric bikes are to me and I looked them up the Segway bikes and I know which ones you are talking about now and it is surprising how things like that explode over a few years and it is good you don’t have a lot of people having serious injuries on them ‘cause it wouldn’t take much for that to occur.
That is surprising you nearly had a taxi driver hit you a few days ago and those are people who are literally paid to drive for a living and they should be heaps more careful on the road than average drivers and know not to drive while they are talking on a mobile phone but sadly they are just as bad as everybody else and the phone call was most likely not important but there are some people glued to screens and they can’t go anywhere without them or spend a minute away from them and on feet in shops and shopping centres they can be annoying too because they just stop somewhere and play on their phones or I Pads until people tell them to move out of the way. I don’t blame you for having trouble remembering the Driver’s License plate ‘cause I am not that great at remembering numbers either and would have forgotten them. The problem is that kind of driver does kill people in multiple countries and I think most accidents are caused by somebody not watching the road. Have you ever heard of car jumpers or car hoppers? Thankfully they aren’t very common but there have been some here on the news that jump on top of cars when there is a lot of traffic and they will go from one car to another like something you would see in a movie and it is lucky they don’t end up dead.
Yeah. The Olympics is over now and we were too upset over Sally and Stephanie losing at the surfing and didn’t watch the rest of it () and the WSL is on now and both of them have returned to it and I am hoping Stephanie Gilmore wins the World Championship this year ‘cause she only needs to win it one more time and she beats Layne Beachley’s record and goes down in history as the female surfer who has won the World Championship the most times! I did hear your country won gold medals and our country did too and had success in other sports like swimming and for Norway to not be much of a summer Olympics nation and win more this year means there must have been a lot of athletes that were training hard over the past few years to change that. Something I will say about all the Athletes in the different sports is I was happy for them they had the Olympics this year and they didn’t hold it off for another 4 years after cancelling it last year ‘cause I heard the ones that qualified for last year would have had to qualify again and it would be heartbreaking to be somebody who has spent their life wanting to be in the Olympics and to get in it only to have that dream taken away from you.
This pandemic has ruined a lot of things for people around the world and did you hear they are going to have one of the Olympics here in Australia again up in Queensland? I can’t remember what year it is going to be but we had the Olympics in our state (New South Wales) back in 2000 and I don’t know if it happens in other countries but they destroyed all this bushland in one of the towns near us for it to build buildings for events and ever since then they have stayed empty and nobody uses them and it is a big waste and you would think they would do something else with them. With Disney there are quite a few Live Action remakes in development now and we will have to wait and see what ones get made ‘cause I heard the ‘Bambi’ one was cancelled but they look to be remaking nearly everything in Live Action side from the Pixar movies and yes, as long as the money keeps coming in for them there will be more for sure ‘cause that is why they make them. I mean a lot of people complain about how many remakes we get nowadays and want more original movies which I want to see too but a lot of these remakes sell and that is the reason why Hollywood keeps making more of them and they see the dollars coming in as us wanting more of them.
It is the same reason why we have so many Reality TV Shows and there’s no doubt some of them are absolute rubbish but millions of people have tuned in every week to watch ‘Big Brother’, ‘My Kitchen Rules’, ‘the Bachelor’, ‘the Bachelorette’ and ‘the Kardasians’ and they are popular and keep coming back for more seasons. I am actually more surprised at some of the classic movies that haven’t been given remakes ‘cause there are heaps from the 50s, 60s and 70s they could be making next and look at all the Cary Grant, Doris Day, Bob Hope, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Bing Crosby, The Marx Brothers, Joan Crawford, Deborah Kerr (who I was named after) and Jerry Lewis movies for example that were popular but I think what might be stopping them from remaking some of them now is they were so well-known for having certain Actors in them and people like my Aunt who are fans of Doris Day watched Doris Day’s movies ‘cause she was in them and not for the actual movie. Eddie Murphy done a good job with the remake of Jerry Lewis’ ‘The Nutty Professor’ but others would be harder to do modern versions of especially the ones with Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin and I think they stick to the 80s and 90s for the most part ‘cause they are easier to adapt.
That reminds me do you like any of those Actors ‘cause I grew up watching a lot of their movies with my Aunt and Grandfather and my Grandfather loved Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, Abbott and Costello and The Marx Brothers movies and he would have them on when my Sister and I stayed at his house and I find I like a lot of the classic Comedies like that more than the modern ones. Speaking about movies Beccy and I have been re-watching the ‘Star Wars’ movies to get ready to watch the Star Wars shows on Disney + like ‘The Mandorelian’ and we noticed they have the Ewoks movies on there and we are going to watch them too () and I recall seeing them ages ago like back in the early 90s and haven’t seen them again since then so it will be interesting to re-watch them all these years later and I heard they are bad but it will be fun to see them again ‘cause I like Ewoks. I have surprised over how many things are on Disney + and we have been re-watching some of the old cartoons like ‘Spider-Man’, ‘X Men’, ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Spider Woman’ and I like the 90s ‘X Men: Animated Series’ more than the live action movies ‘cause they didn’t depower Rouge, Gambit was in it and Cyclops wasn’t made to look so weak and the Live Action movies really didn’t do a good job handling Cyclops in my opinion.
Since you are a fan of Dark chocolate I was curious if you have ever tried Loacker Wafers ‘cause they came in Dark chocolate and are nice and the most recent chocolate I had was actually White Cookies and Crème Chocolate Milky Bar and I love that and Caramilk. They do bring back a lot of old things in shops under new names and I have noticed that the most with cereal and sometimes it doesn’t turn out to be as good as you remember ‘cause you romanticize the flavour in your mind and think that it is really delicious ‘cause you haven’t had it for so long but it isn’t that great. I am not a fan of when a company makes changes to a food product that has been around for a long time ‘cause usually when they do it is never good and Arnott’s here done it with Shapes biscuits a few years ago and they got a LOT of complaints from people and had to bring back the original flavours. You are right about Right and Left wing propaganda and there is very much an either them or us mentality with them and this need to choose sides and be a part of something and Terrorists often have a way of saying the things these people are wanting to hear and can get through to them in ways their families can’t and it is a problem I don’t think we address enough.
Yes. There is a 'Legally Blonde 3' coming out and I am very excited 'cause I didn't think we would ever get one 'cause the second one was so long ago and there was technically a third one called 'Legally Blondes' that was a spinoff but it was horrible and Reese Witherspoon didn't appear in it and most fans would rather forget it ever happened kinda like the prequel to 'Dumb and Dumber.' 'Legally Blonde 3', however is going to be a proper follow up to the second movie based years later and it was delayed by the pandemic but the release date is now the 20th of May 2022. Some of the other members of the original cast have been confirmed to be coming back for it like Luke Wilson and there has also been talk of Reese's daughter, Ava Phillippe appearing in it. Reese did go through a rough time a few years back but she seems to have gotten her career back on track now she done 'Big Little Lies' and she is currently in 'The Morning Show' with Jennifer Aniston and Season 2 of that is going to start next month. Have you seen many of Reese’s movies and if so what are your favorites?
Oh, yes. I know about Lego and some of my friends used to have it and I was telling another member on here recently how I was surprised over how much my Sister said it has gone up in price and there are some people are that good at building things with Lego they have even become famous off it and have you heard of Lego Artists? Thank you for answering my questions and the TV Industry has come a long way since the success of ‘24’ and is viewed very differently than it used to be and streaming is the big thing now that many are saying is not only the future of TV Shows but movies and due to the pandemic we have been seeing a lot of new movies that would have come out in cinemas going onto streaming services instead like we talked about with the upcoming ‘Batgirl’ movie. It has been a long time since I saw the first three 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' movies but the first two were very popular here and some of my friends loved them but the third was seen as a bit of a disappointment and after watching it I could see why since it was very different than the first two and went in another direction but I remember thinking it wasn't bad. The second one I thought was better than the first and I remember the 'Go Ninja Go' song in it and them facing Super Shredder near the end which I later found out was the wrestler, Kevin Nash and he was a very scary strong looking character but if I remember correctly he caused all these things to fall or collapse on him and that was the end of him. I don't remember exactly but I recall he was easier for them to deal with than he looked. I remember there was also a cartoon in the 80s some of my friends watched that was on in the mornings here and did you watch that? Anyways, that's it for me for now too and that's okay you took a little longer to reply to me and I look forward to hearing from you again too and hope you are having a good week.
