Hi Stefancrosscoe
How are you? It is good to see you back on here again and that’s okay you were busy and didn’t have much time to write on here the last 8-10 days and I was going to reply to you on Friday but didn’t get time to finish so that makes two of us but hopefully things will cool down for you and we’re only two sleeps away from Spring now and Wednesday is the start of a new season and I’m looking forward to the sunny days and warmer weather ahead of us but most of all I’m waiting for the Lockdown to end once and for all and things have changed a lot since I last wrote to you on here and after some of the restrictions were eased back in our area the numbers didn’t stop going up so the Premier decided to put our entire state into Lockdown and we haven’t been able to see my family again and have had to follow all the same strict rules the people living in hotspots and areas of concern are following which has been pretty unfair since we haven’t had any cases in our town for a while but there was at least some good news recently and starting from the 13th of September people who are vaccinated will be able to have 5 guests over and I am getting the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine very soon.
It was nice getting to have my Sister and two of my Nieces over again especially Courtney before her birthday but I sadly didn’t get a chance to see my Baby Niece or Nephew ‘cause it didn’t last long and in the long run it felt kinda cruel to have that right given to us and then taken off us again and on top of it have all these restrictions we didn’t have before and I can still take our Malshis out for walks but if I see somebody I know and stop and talk to them for a while I could face being fined and we can be fined for staying in shops looking at the shelves for too long now too and the fines are very high now ‘cause they kept putting them up ‘cause of people ignoring the rules. The worst thing is the cases are still going up in our state and I just noticed when I spoke to you last it was only around 344 cases and fast forward to two weeks later and we have had 1,218 cases in the last 24 hours and 6 deaths and it has broken all kinds of records and one of the people that died the other day was a woman who was only in her 30s and yesterday there was a guy in his 30s too. We have had more people die who have had the vaccine too and some have had both jabs and haven’t had any medical problems in the past. Hearing about people being fined for talking to their friends and relatives on the street, or staring too long at something in the stores, that sounds almost like something out of a George Orwell novel, but sadly, I guess it has become the reality for many people. For now, it has not gotten to that point in Norway, or at least of that I know. But we had a rather busy last week, where I think there has been several new records of cases, and where a school class of 500-600 students, and about 100-150 of them had tested positive, so yeah, things is not exactly all too bright and sunny here either. There is constantly talk about the upcoming 4th wave, and so on, like if some people almost look forward to it, and everyone being closed down, once more. I hope it will not be the case, but yeah, I remember last year, it went pretty fast, and then the weeks turned to months, and suddenly 7 months had passed, before things began to open up again. I am glad there is more focus being put on people dealing with mental health problems in Norway as suicide rates are still on the rise in multiple countries including ours which they said has rose 31 percent among young people in the last year and these people need help and being locked down to small areas where they can’t see their family and friends just makes this worse for them ‘cause they have nobody to talk to about their problems and the Politicians only care about them when they are trying to get people’s votes and with the election coming up here next year the two of them are going to be sucking up to us and promising wonders soon and while I’m not a fan of the party in power now I feel an election and especially the build to it is the last thing anybody wants to have all over the TV and newspapers at the moment if you know what I mean and we rather have something happier and more positive than bloody Politicians fighting with each other and I think the parties and State and Federal Politicians need to put their petty differences aside and focus on trying to put an end to this pandemic and helping the people who have been affected by it ‘cause there are heaps of people out of jobs and our Lockdown is sending more companies broke and products have been disappearing off shelves in shops ‘cause the pandemic has lead to less people buying them.
It is surprising there aren’t more accidents caused by people who are glued to screens when they are out ‘cause they rarely watch where they are walking and you used to have to turn mobile phones off inside of places like waiting rooms and there were actual signs up telling you to switch them off but I guess too many people ignored them so they gave up. Car jumpers are lunatics and one day some of them are bound to have an accident and possibly even wind up dead ‘cause it is very dangerous and foolish and I am not exactly sure what motivates them to do it but some people think it is to get likes and views on their Facebook and Instagram accounts ‘cause they take photos of themselves doing it or get other people to film them and upload it on the internet. I think the ones that illegally climb up large bridges and buildings are the worst and deserve the fines they get ‘cause they put other’s lives at risk too and could easily fall on top of them. One interesting thing about the Olympics I saw was at ‘WWE Summer Slam’ they had the male and female Wrestling Gold Medalists come out on stage and it looks like they might be getting WWE Contacts and they said it was both their dreams to be in WWE.
Oh yeah, we have an election coming up, very soon, and yeah, lots of promises and everything will be all the "better", if you vote for a "change", but yeah, I fear that is the usual fog talk (or as we say in Norway, tåkeprat). About the car jumpers, I know now what kind of people you are talking about, as in Norway we often brand these as nominees for the the annual "Darwin Awards", kind of a black comedy attempt, on a rather serious subject, but when people are so stupid and reckless, in trying to desperately get enough attention, only for a few likes or votes up, then I guess sometimes, mother nature has her way of dealing out the cards, but of course, a damn tragedy when these clowns ends up dragging innocent people into their often cruel and idiotic behaviours and "jokes". One which seems to have exploded over the summer (in Norway that is), is young teenagers, who either use screwdriver or a wrench, to pick out or damage certain parts on parked bicycles, or damaging the gear or brakes, then they will hide and wait for the bicycle owner to appear, and then later bring forward the mobile phone, to film the upcoming accident, which incredibly has not cost a human life, yet, but there has been many very serious injuries. I cannot understand what goes on in some peoples mind when they do something like that. To maybe cost the life of a fellow human, only for a few likes on the social media, or a "good" laughter, when other people get hurt. I guess all this focus on watching something through a screen, the constanst crave for likes and attention, all makes you feel less and less, while searching for more and more extreme stuff, but in the way ending up loosing grip with how reality actually works, and it is scary, since this is something which increases, every year. You have people stopping when they see an accident or a car crash, but not because they will help out, but instead they draw their phones forward, to take photos to show off, to their followers on social media, or something to brag about. It is sickening, and sometimes I hope when they have a serious accident or worse, someone will just show up, when they need help the most, and just ignore their cries in pain, and take some photos, and disappear. And it is funny I was talking about the empty buildings and stadiums that were built for the Olympics to you ‘cause they recently revealed they are planning on making the area a big studio complex for a lot of big movies and TV Shows and I have an article about it you can read below if you’re interested but I wasn’t expecting that and it will be weird if they start filming movies there and do they film any movies or TV Shows near where you live in Norway? I think I told you before they filmed the newest ‘Children of the Corn’ movie in one of the towns near us and we have been looking forward to seeing it ‘cause we want to see if we recognise anything in the movie. I don’t have high hopes for the movie though ‘cause I haven’t liked any of the ‘Children of the Corn’ movies since the sixth one and I didn’t think that was great but I liked seeing John Franklin return as Isaac when he was older and I thought he done a good job of the material he was given and was even creepier than in the first movie.

That’s fair and I usually watch movies with Actors I like in them and I find with some Actors there is a particular type of movie they are known for acting in or type of character they are known for playing and if you like that movie there is a chance you will like their other movies too but it is disappointing when an Actor you like appears in a terrible movie and even more when they go from being in really successful movies to nothing but duds and you wonder how they end up in those roles and don’t get anything better anymore but as you pointed out with Michael Caine appearing in ‘Jaws 4’ this is a job for them and sometimes they have to appear in a few duds to pay the bills and it is better than some of the other jobs they could be doing and some Actors enjoy making the movies even when they are not that great like Michael Gross with the ‘Tremors’ movies. I just get annoyed when a movie has an Actor on the front cover or ads for it as the main star and they only appear for five or ten minutes in it and it is very misleading and we got a UFO movie with Jean Claude Van Dame in it and we thought it would be fun to see him fighting aliens which is what the description made it sound like it was and it ended up following a group of other annoying characters and he was in for like 2 minutes and was killed off yet somehow he got top billing in the movie. They have actually filmed a few scenes (not sure from which movie, as I do not watch a whole lot of Norwegian films or tv-shows) but it is kind of funny to see all of a sudden, this huge movie crew, closing of certain areas, and then only to disappear as quickly as they arrived. I think of course, some of it, might be used in tv-commercials, not just films and tv-shows. I have planned on re-watching a few of the 80s and early 90s horror franchises, such as Hellraiser and Children of the Corn later this fall, might at least give a few of the earlier ones, another go. Not sure how far they have ended up with, but I am guessing at least 7-8 films, (both of them). Anyway, that is nice to hear they are actually making good use, of those stadiums, after all. Oh yeah, I sure have done quite a few misteps, when watching certain terrible films, only because I went in, knowing a favorite actor will show up, and of course, the DVD or Blu-ray poster, have them plastered all over the place, but in reality, they are probably within the "plot" for less than a few minutes in total, and if you blink your eyes a couple of times, you might actually miss out on them. A few names, which I guess is not exactly news to making these kind of "cameos", are Bruce Willis, Eric Roberts and Danny Trejo, who must have (all together) at least 50 upcoming films, but I have learnt my lesson well now, and will not pay for any of their new movies, unless I get some real evidence, that the quality of the film and their roles is more than just a few lines, and then it is over to another generic and boring DTV/VOD release. As you said, it is kind of sad to see your favorite actors appear in that way, but yeah, I mean look at Rutger Hauer, who was a very telented actor in his day, but I guess the famous villainous parts early when he arrived in Hollywood, kind of destroyed his chances of every becoming an heroic leading man, even if he did a few very good one of those as well, but to see him end up in so many bad films, yeah, that was just depressing. But, a job is a job, and some just seems to love making films. Christopher Walken is another, a big fan of the guy, and also one who I guess never quite made it as a leading man, even though he did some fantastic parts back in his day, but the audience seemed to prefer him as the eccentric bad guy, which he did so well, but it did sure put him into the stereotypical parts, for most of his career. I can see why you like those Michael Caine movies and I think there are some fairly good movies that weren’t hits or anything special at the time but are still enjoyable to watch and that is how they gain a cult following despite being panned by critics and do you like any of the Disaster movies they used to have on the Syfy Channel ‘cause my Uncle loves watching those and we found some of them to be entertaining too and they called them ‘Mockmuster Mayhem’ movies and they surprisingly got quite a few Well Known Actors from TV Shows to appear in them. They usually followed the same formula but what was amusing about them was the things the characters managed to survive and you would have one of the main characters literally two seconds away from being swept up by a tornado, falling in lava or being hit by lightning by an evil cloud with a face and someone would swoop in and rescue them just in the nick of time and in the last one we watched there was a guy who was in stuck on top of a building that was about to collapse and they rescued him by helicopter and as soon as he got off it the building collapsed and you don’t get that lucky in real life.
Well, I hope you have a good time watching Christmas movies this year and when we were looking in our boxes a few days ago I found some old Christmas movies I forgot we owned on DVD and we have accidentally doubled up with some of them () and we do that from time to time with things since we forget we own them and have you doubled up with any of the things you own ‘cause you packed them away and forgot you had them? It is fun going through old boxes and finding them though and we got quite a few Horror movies I didn’t even realise have become hard to find or are expensive to buy now until I have talked to other people that are looking to get them and I am surprised over how much the ‘Dawn of the Dead’ box set with the different cuts have gone up for example ‘cause when we bought it on Amazon it was a lot cheaper and I think we joined Amazon in 2007 at the right time and were lucky ‘cause there were so many Horror movies for cheap prices. Amazon has always been my favourite place to go to for Horror movies since then even though many movies have gone up in price since and I was curious since you were saying about finding movies to watch have you seen any of the box sets they have on there ‘cause they have quite a lot on them and are still a good price. Yeah, I am a sucker for a real cheesy and campy bad movie disaster release, even though it can get a bit too much, at times. With the same themes, the same faces and so on, but I am always in the mood for something to cheer me up, and those SyFy releases are always enjoyable, even if I rarely re-watch most of them. It is kind of funny that you said that about not bein as lucky in real life, as I guess many have these almost tragedy situations happening, but of course, nothing that is as spectacular or heroic as seen on the cinema, but sometimes we are not even aware of the danger, and yeah, maybe that is sometimes for the better. Yep, I do that from time to time. Forget I own certain films or albums, and it is almost like going through a little "treasure chest", where you kind of realize that "whoa, where did you come from?" and it is very nice if it ends up with a pleasant watch or listen. Speaking of Amazon and looking up movies, I have not been using Amazon for a while, since the prices have sadly increased so much, that yeah, I hope things might ease down, but as of right now, it is much cheaper solutions else where, but I often do visit, just to check if some of the articles or products I have in my watchlist, have changed for the better in prices. We got some with 4, 5, 6, 8 and even 10 and 20 movies and quite often some of the movies are good but there will be a few poor ones thrown in the mix with them and I think it’s still worth buying them even if you don’t like most of the other movies ‘cause you are still getting a few movies you like for a cheap price but it is confusing when they put random sequels from Horror franchises in them such as ‘Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers’ and ‘The Prophecy 2’ and unless you have seen the other movies in that franchises you probably won’t want to begin them that far into them since they won’t make sense to most people but it might have to do with the rights. With the Streaming Services I am surprised there isn’t at least one or two that specifically focus on classic movies and TV Shows ‘cause there are so many they could put on them like Doris Day, Cary Grant, Bob Hope, Elizabeth Taylor and Jerry Lewis movies and shows like The Munsters, Mr. Ed, Gilligan’s Island, That Girl, Mannix, I Dream of Jeanie, Hawaii Five O, The Brady Bunch, Police Woman, Adam 12, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, I Love Lucy, Starksy & Hutch, The Monkees, The Addams’ Family, Mission Impossible, Batman (Adam West), Magnum PI, The Odd Couple, Cagney & Lacey, The Rockford Files’, ‘Laverne & Shirley’, ‘Mork & Mindy’, ‘Hart to Hart’, ‘Mannix’, ‘Gidget’, ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’, ‘Gomer Pyle’, ‘Welcome Back Kotter’, ‘The Beverley Hillbillies’ and ‘Rhoda.’
It sounds like you can be rather picky when it comes to watching movies () and when we can’t find a movie to watch we will watch a TV Show on DVD instead like ‘Columbo’ and have you seen that show? I have heard of ‘The Watchers: Reborn’ and I haven’t seen it yet or any of the other movies but it has Lisa Wilcox in it from ‘Nightmare 4 and 5’ acting alongside Mark Hamill and I am surprised Lisa didn’t go on to get more leading roles ‘cause I thought she was great as Alice but what were ‘the Watchers’ movies about and were they Horror movies? It is strange how Mark Hamill didn’t go on to play more hero roles after playing Luke Skywalker in the ‘Star Wars’ but I heard after ‘Star Wars’ he got a lot of movie roles offered to him including some that went on to become big hits but he hit the bottle and it cost him those roles and some fans say if he had got them he might be as big as Harrison Ford now and I am not sure but I am disappointed we will never get to see him play the Joker in Live Action as I think that would have been fun to see in a Batman movie especially after seeing him as the Trickster in ‘The Flash’ and some people might disagree but I think Mark Hamill was the best Joker and he was great in animation and in the ‘Arkham’ video games.
A funny thing about ‘Star Wars’ and DC is how many Actors have gone on to appear in DC movies, TV Shows and Video games and apart from Mark Hamill as the voice of the Joker DC had Carrie Fisher in ‘Smallville’, Billy Dee Williams in ‘Batman and Batman Returns’, Ewan McGregor in ‘Harley Quinn and Birds of Prey’, Natalie Portman in ‘V For Vendetta’, Frank Oz in ‘Superman III’ and James Earl Jones in ‘Lois and Clark; The New Adventures of Superman’ and I am surprised Harrison Ford never acted in a DC or Marvel movie as a superhero or villain but they did have his Wife, Calista Flockhart in Supergirl and she made a few Harrison Ford jokes in the show and there was also an episode of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ where the villains kidnap George Lucas and they have to go back in time and save him so ‘Star Wars’ still gets made. It has been lovely talking to you again too and I will write more about the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' again next time but I am glad you enjoyed re-watching 3 and no, it isn't the worst movie and I have seen sequels that are far worse than that one. Until next time I hope you have a good week and look forward to your next reply. These 100 "great" movie box-sets, I have sometimes purchased, where as some, like the Drive-In Classic series (the one with Christopher Lee as Dracula) and I am not sure, if I will ever be able of getting through all of them, but beyond all the terrible ones, (some are so bad, that it felt like time stood still) there has been quite a few pleasant surprises, like Rituals aka Creeper (1977), which was played out like a Deliverance meets up with Predator, in a low budget backwood slasher, well, before that kind of genre really began to settle in. It had some great performances, specially by Hal Holbrook, and the atmosphere was really unsettling and, yeah, that was surely one of the films, well worthy to find, after wasting so much time, on some very, very bad ones. I think you are right about the rights to certain titles or franchises, which makes a bit of a confusing mess, when you suddenly have a film franchise and instead of the earliest ones, you end up with the much later ones instead. Of course, in some cases, that could also be a positive thing. Columbo, I actually have never quite got into. But it has often been sent during daytime in Norway, and I believe a few of the full seasons also has been put out on DVD as well. Watchers (1988) the first one, (well the francise itself) is pretty much a sci-fi/horror/action series, where usually a young man or grown man, befriends an intelligent dog, who has a dark past, and also a secret "friend" who seem to stalk it, and cause total mayhem, to whoever is unlucky to approach it. The first one, stars Corey Haim and Michael Ironside, and is surely the best of the bunc, the second, was more a low budget Roger Corman release (actually quite a fun one too) with Marc Singer in the lead, while the third one, I think is more like a Predator themed action film, starring Wings Hauser, and yeah, the 4th has Hammill and Wilcox in the leading parts. I am not sure if the right word, is to recommend all of them, but if you find a few for a reasonable price, then it could be worthy to give them a go. Cheesy and campy, but rarely a dull moment. Sad to hear how things ended for Mark, as I have always wondered about why he did not become a bigger star, but of course, I guess he had several problems after his car crash (I think) between the first or second Star Wars film, and he got maybe hooked onto painkillers and alcohol, in order to ease the pain, but sadly, that seems to be the case for so many actors and athletes, ending their bright future prospect in the same time. However, I am glad that he did come back, and seems to have found big success in borrowing his voice in many tv-shows and video games. As always, it is very nice to see your reply, specially during monday, as it is a positive way of starting up a new week with, seeing a friendly face and kind reply. Byt the way, I had almost forgotten, not sure if I did bring it up during one of our earlier chats, but I have just ordered a bunch of CDs, and where I felt the need to try my luck with the australian band, The Church, and after listening to a few of their songs, which I believe is taken from their 1988 release, Starfish, I decided to go with that record. Anyway, there is one song, which I fell completly in love with, and must have played it like crazy, over the weekend, but not too much, as I do not want to go "tired" of, before I get the album I ordered in return. But the one I am talking about, is called Hotel Womb, and is such a beautiful and warm sounding song, love the guitars, vocals and yeah, one of those classic cases of instant love, when hearing it for the first time. If the rest of the album is anything close in quality, then I guess I have done the wise choice, of starting my journey with that album. Well, that is it for now. As always, very nice to catch up with you, and really hope things might ease up in Australia and that you get the chance of seeing your beloved ones, much sooner. Take care, and we will surely meet up again later on. Hi Stefancrosscoe
I am back. I have had a busy week which is why I have been absent from here the past few days and I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine the other day and have been feeling tired and dizzy since I had it but they said those were some of the common side effects people get from having it so there is no need for alarm ‘cause I am thankfully not having an allergic reaction and I just have to wait until I get my second dose and then I will be fully vaccinated. Over 70 percent of people in New South Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine and the Premier is planning on reopening things if once we hit around 80 percent of people vaccinated with both doses and she is hopeful that is not too far away and might even open early when we hit 70 percent. Sadly we are still getting a lot of cases and deaths though and the other day we had 1431 cases and 12 deaths which was the most deaths there has been in our state in one day and just recently we had 1485 cases with 3 deaths and 3 of the new cases were sadly young children who are currently in intensive care.
I am sorry to hear about the students in School testing positive to the Coronavirus and that is a lot of students to get it at the same time and hopefully their parents have been tested for it too ‘cause the chances of them having it are also very high and do they close down Schools straight away in Norway when a student or teacher tests positive to the Coronavirus and have they made it compulsory for all the teachers do get the vaccines ‘cause many people believe teachers should be made to have it and not just for the safety of the students but for themselves too ‘cause they put themselves at risk each day they teach a classroom full of students that could possibly have it. Yeah. I am not surprised there are a lot of people talking about the possibility of a Fourth Wave happening in your country now and I think people fear the worst scenario and I know I am guilty of doing that a few times myself and it is hard to think positively sometimes when you are surrounded by negativity but we should try.
Some other sad news I was telling another member about earlier is a 3 year old autistic boy has gone missing and the parents think he has been abducted and it was believed a ‘suspicious’ white Ute was responsible for his disappearance but police have found the vehicle and the search is still going and I hope they are able to find him ‘cause it would be horrible for a parent to lose their child like that and they have got a lot of people searching for him. We have had some other missing children cases over the past few years but they were able to find them and there was one the Police were able to find by just playing the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ theme over their speakers. People getting fined for simply stopping to talk to their family and friends on the streets and looking at things inside of shops for too long does sound like something out of the pages of a George Orwell novel but this is the reality it has come to and I blame the extremists for it ‘cause they have been warned time after time and keep on breaking the rules and some of them are not the sanest of people, that’s for sure.
We have got some that still think the Coronavirus is fake and the Government wants to control them by putting some type of mind control serum in us that will allow them to control our bodies and they even think the Government is murdering people to falsify Coronavirus deaths and I doubt anybody is going to be able to get through to them to take the vaccine when they think that way so it is best we don’t bother and just focus on getting those vaccinated who want to and getting more of the vaccine out to places where there are shortages of it. When it comes to the Election you are best not to trust any party that says they can make everything better ‘cause they are full of crap () and nobody can just make this go away ‘cause it has been going for close to two years as it is and there is no easy one step solution to it and it is fog talk or what you call ‘tåkeprat’ in Norway and here we simply just call it Politicians talking out their arses lol and they have had years of experience doing that.
I have heard of the Darwin Awards and State Cows have a song with the name but I have never been quite sure of what they are so thank you for letting me know and these car jumpers are the type that will do anything to get attention even if it means being incredibly dumb and putting their lives on the line ‘cause they would rather die famous than be forgotten but ultimately a lot of those people wind up being forgotten and they have their ’15 Minutes of Fame’ as they say and then most people move on to talking about the next thing so they should be really asking themselves if it is worth it ‘cause at the end of the day I don’t think it is for a lot of them and I feel sorry for their families ‘cause they are the ones who are most likely sitting down somewhere worried sick about them when they do stunts like that not knowing if they are going to get seriously or end up dead.
I didn’t know you had teenagers doing pranks like that to people on bicycles but that’s not funny and is really dangerous and they are lucky nobody has died from it or tracked them down after they have posted the video to pay them a visit ‘cause that goes far beyond a joke and I have no idea what goes on in their mind to think doing that is okay but it is sad there are people like that. They are detached from reality which is why I think people shouldn’t spend so much time online and get out every once in a while and talk to people the old fashioned way. Ohh and I have seen those people who stop and take photos and film videos of accidents and they don’t usually help the victims or even call 000 and it is disgraceful and they care more about the footage and if they can get any money out of selling it to a news show, channel or website and being able to say they were there and I remember last year there was a guy on the news that fell on the train tracks at a train station and they said most people just stood there and watched him and others filmed it but there was thankfully one person that got down and helped him up and he could have been hit by a train if it wasn’t for that one decent person there that day.
Thank you for answering my question and I don’t know as many Norwegian movies and TV Shows as I know Artists and Bands from your country but do they make many Horror, Sci Fi and Action movies in Norway ‘cause aside from the American movies they have filmed here we have had a fair share of Horror movies made here in Australia as you know including some that have been pretty good but in all my years I can’t remember seeing any Australian Sci Fi movies and I guess the genre doesn’t work here as well as it does in other countries and nobody is interested in adapting my Uncle’s silly stories about Harold Holt going into a black hole far out in the ocean and becoming a famous Time Traveler that saves the world from evil kangaroos from out of space with laser guns in the future. (lol) That is good you are planning on re-watching some of the ‘Hellraiser’ and ‘Children of the Corn’ movies and I loved the first three ‘Hellraiser’ movies and thought 4 was okay too but the franchise went downhill in my opinion after that and hasn’t been able to recover since and I wish they had kept making more movies like the first three with Pinhead and the Cenobites at the front and centre with Kirsty or Joey as the lead.
Some people didn’t like ‘Hellraiser IIl: Hell On Earth’ ‘cause it made Pinhead more like evil like Freddy Kreuger but there was an explanation for that and towards the end of the second movie Kirsty freed the soul of Elliot Spencer and Elliot appears to Joey as a ghost like being and what Kirsty did was split Elliot Spencer from Pinhead so the Pinhead you have left is the evil demon who enjoys torturing and killing people unleashed on the world and it is Elliot who is like Pinhead’s humanity, soul or his good side and that’s why he chooses to merge with him again near the end so there is the balance of good and evil inside him again and there are graphic novels sequels Clive Barker wrote where Kirsty works with Elliott/ Pinhead whose good side prevails over the dark side to defeat all the other Cenobites in the world and send them back to hell and another where Kirsty becomes the new Pinhead to protect earth from evil after Lucifer gets free and kills Pinhead for keeping him trapped for years and I think those would have been heaps better to see as movies than most of the movies they made after 3.
I like ‘Children of the Corn 4’ with Naomi Watts the most out of the ‘Children of the Corn’ movies but the third comes pretty close and have you seen the ‘Pumpkinhead’, ‘Waxworks’, ‘976-Evil’, ‘C.H.U.D.’ and ‘Chopping Mall’ movies ‘cause I would suggest watching those and the ‘976-Evil’ movies are very good and I am surprised they haven’t remade them. I remember seeing the first movie late one night on TV in the 90s and recorded it on the video player and I lost the 15-20 minutes of it and they didn’t repeat it and it wasn’t in any of our shops here so I had to wait years to see how it ended and by the time I did I had already seen the second one ‘cause that for some unknown reason was heaps easier to get here and I ended up liking both and have you ever watched a movie only to have the end of it cut off for some reason like a blackout ‘cause that is soo annoying!!
I can’t remember if we talked about them before but I would also highly recommend seeing the first two ‘Wishmaster’ movies and I think are some of the most underrated Horror movies of the 90s and I am hoping they bring the franchise back one day ‘cause like Robert Englund who has spoken fondly about them I think there is still a lot more that can be done with the Djinn character ‘cause he is very powerful and there are many different creative ways to twist wishes and are there any Horror movie franchises that have ended you would like to see brought back? I think it is very hard to avoid seeing some terrible films ‘cause they are often good at sucking you into watching them with their plot and the Actors they get lol and I don’t always read the reviews by the critics ‘cause there are some lesser known ones I have seen and quite enjoyed but some snobby critic turned their nose up over them lol just like those cheesy and campy ones they had on the Syfy Channel.
There are a few I am going to avoid from now on though like those Bruce Willis, Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts ones you mentioned until they are out for a while and I have read more about them or there is always a chance one of my family members or friends will see them before us and I will ask them if they liked the movies or not. A few posts back we were talking about how some movie Actors moved to doing TV Shows and had a lot of success doing them such as Kiefer Sutherland with ‘24’ but I have also noticed some Actors get dropped from doing movies and spend the rest of their careers being in TV Shows or TV movies like on the Hallmark Channel after appearing in multiple movies as the main star and have you ever wondered why that happens ‘cause it is like they must have a falling out with the movie studios or something ‘cause they are obviously not terrible Actors when they have been in leading roles in a lot of popular movies when they were younger. I agree with you about Christopher Walken and he is a good Actor who has been typecast but ever since I saw him as Gabriel in ‘The Prophecy’ movies I have trouble seeing him as anything else ‘cause he was so convincing as Gabriel.
Well, I am glad you enjoy those movies too and they are fun to watch even if they are kinda silly and I think they are made just to be entertaining and not to think too much about () and you ruin them for yourself if you take them too seriously. Yeah. It is fairly easy to forget you own some things when you pack them away and don’t have them out for a long time and it makes them a great find when it is something you want and you can end up getting more use out of it than you did when you bought it the first time but then you can lose something and not find it for years and we had that happen to us with one of the DVDs in Series 6 of ‘Supernatural’ ‘cause I had a bad habit before of putting some DVDs in the wrong boxes when we moved to other DVDs and not putting them back () but I have made we sure we don’t do that anymore so we don’t have to go looking for them and find the ‘Alien’ movie in the ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 3’ box or a ‘Desperate Housewives’ Season 2 DVD in a ‘Friday the 13th’ movie case for example. () I haven’t heard of ‘Rituals aka Creeper’ but that sounds like a pretty interesting movie.
I am surprised you haven’t seen ‘Columbo’ ‘cause that is a good show and we got all the seasons of it on Amazon when they came out over a decade ago along with the movie collections and I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been making many orders on Amazon lately ‘cause things are more expensive than they used to be on there and I have noticed that with a few things lately on our Australian store and we can no longer get graphic novels anywhere near as cheap as we used to even if we order them on the American Amazon store ‘cause of the postage but it still ends up being cheaper for us than other places and have you bought anything from the Amazon Marketplace? Thank you for letting me know about ‘The Watchers’ franchise and Beccy and I will give them a go if we find them and it is sad Mark Hamill didn’t go on to have a bigger career after ‘Star Wars’ ‘cause with the popularity of those films you think he would have but it is good he was able to find success again as a voice actor.
Thank you for the kind words and it always nice to talk to you too and I am back on a Monday again () and I should be on here more often but I have just been busy with so many other things lately and I will reply to your private message next time but don't want to give you too much to reply to. I do remember you talking about The Church before and I am glad to hear you are enjoying their music and I am familiar with that song and I think you will like the rest of the album too. Lately I have been listening to Golden Earring a lot and we bought a lot of their albums and they are an amazing band and have heaps of albums out going back to the mid 60s and I was curious if they were big in Norway in the 60s, 70s or 80s outside of their big hit, 'Radar Love' 'cause I am surprised they weren't bigger here.

That is understandable, that you had to take little time off, and yeah, my mum also had the Pfizer vaccine as well (or so I believe), and she also had similar symptoms a few days afterwards. Sorry to hear about how things is still going on with the cases and deaths, where as of right now, I have not really paid too much attention towards the latest numbers in Norway, but right now there is probably a bit more focus on the upcoming election. I am not really sure about how it works out for the teachers, but I remember there were quite a large debate last year, about the risk of having children back at school, so soon, and how they could end up spreading the disease without knowing, onto the adults and I think it might be a bit more strict this time.
Missing children cases, are always something that is hard to follow or read about. However, there thankfully are some happily endings, where as others, feel like they sadly never ends. I do remember a few ones, from back in the 90s, and what often stick out the most, where the pictures of the kids, very haunting and also knowing that for some families and parents, there would never be any "happy" endings, and that the kidnapper or murderer might never be found either.
I guess back in the day, the whole Jackass phenomenom that was hitting big, around the early 00s, surely started some kind of a big trend, but I guess there will always be those willing to do everything, in order to get peoples attention, no matter what, but sadly it more often seems to be about having "fun" on other peoples account, and more and more, in a violent and disgusting behaviour. A few months back, we had a collision at the highway, not far away of were I live, and the police fined one or more of the "audience", who were seen driving and taking photos or filming an accident, risking not only his own life, but others as well. Sadly, this kind of reckless drivers, will most likely soon be back on the streets, but it is scary, grown ups behaving like "kids". I believe the horror genre, is actually rather "new" when it comes to Norwegian cinema, I mean, there is probably been quite a few, here and there, but not many which has been big or successful, and I think it was not until the early 00s, that the horror films in Norway seemed to arrive, and while most of them, obviously seemed to continue on, where the American slashers had left off, a few managed to become very popular outside the country, where some, have been for quite some time now, been rumored to getting an American remake. Out of the ones I know of, or have seen. These are the more familiar horror releases from my coutry: Rovdyr aka Predator (2008)A backwood slasher/vigilante film, that contains lots of violence, but I felt it was rather poorly done, and I guess that is one complaint, I often end up with, after watching these nordic horror films. De dødes tjern aka The Lake of the Dead (1958)Often described as a classic Norwegian movie, and surely among the earliest and most famous horror titles, but today, I guess it is far away of being very "scary", but it does feature a very impressive use of location, woods and a few classic scenes (at least in Norwegian cinema that is). I think a remake was done, not many years ago, but I have not seen it, yet. Død Snø aka Dead Snow (2009)I am planning of re-watch both the first and second one, in October. I guess these titles, with nazi-zombies, is more a tribute to the 80s and early 90s splatter and horror comedies, and also I believe caught on well, outside Norway. Fritt Vilt aka Cold Prey (2006)Surely the most successful of the slasher attempts, and have spawned several sequels, but I think I have only seen one of them. Gotta be honest, I was not very impressed by the first film. Villmark aka Wild Country (2003) One of the earliest of the 00s slashers, and for me, probably one of the few which almost managed to be good. This also got a sequel, later on. Not sure if I have seen it, or not. Hora aka Whore (2009)Rape/vigilante exploitation movie, and yeah, a terrible one at that. Of course, if one enjoys these kind of films, I guess it could be "interesting", but I thought it was one of the absolute worst Norwegian movies I have ever seen, just awful in every way. Trolljegeren aka The Trollhunter (2010)Probably the most famous "horror" release, and one I believe will soon get a remake. There has also been talk about a sequel. This one, is a bit of horror, fantasy, comedy and action, all thrown into the blender, but somehow it kind of works rather well. Skjult aka Hidden (2009)One of the better supernatural Norwegian attempts. Thale (2012)As with Trollhunter, this film is brining up a classic nordic/Norwegian mythical creature, the Hulder or Huldra, a beatiful young woman, often completely nude, and with a tail, who would according to legend, lure young men into the forest and they would never be seen again. The film Thale, I think is more a fantasy than a horror movie, but one of the better, or so I remember it as. Babycall aka The Monitor (2011)One of the best made supernatural horror-thrillers, starring Noomi Rapace and one I really enjoyed back in the day. Well, I guess those were the ones I could recall at the moment, but if I had to pick out three good and enjoyable Norwegian horror-thrillers. Then my choices would surely be: Babycall (2011), Trollhunter (2010) and Thale (2012). When it comes to Australian sci-fi movies, I guess the closest one, that I know of, and enjoy very much, must be The Quiet Earth (1985). But I guess that one counts as an New Zealand movie? Anyway, it is a damn fine one, and stands as one of the best sci-fi releases of the 80s.
Pumpkinhead, C.H.UD. and Chopping Mall are all favorites of mine, specially the last one, as I love how they use the classic 80s shopping mall, The Galleria or Sherman Oaks Mall, in most of the scenes, and that they were filmed during night time as well. I know of a few similar films, also using shopping malls as the main location, but few have done so well to create that kind of fun and cheesy atmosphere, as Chopping Mall did. Pumpkinhead was quite a good and very atmospheric supernatural slasher, some great performances, and I believe it was the only film that Stan Winston directed, but a really well done one. The sequel, I saw not that far ago, thought it was, well, not that impressive, but I believe they also made a third one, much later. C.H.U.D. is one of those cheesy yet enjoyable monster movies, that works so well, because of the main cast, and the atmosphere. Also with this one, I just recently saw the sequel, which I guess is more a low budget horror comedy, more a zombie themed release, than a Cannibalistic Humanoids Undergorund Dwellers adventure, but I could see why they went with the zombie stuff, as it was probably a lot cheaper to do it that way. 976-Evil, I gotta be honst, I actually liked the sequel more than the original. Not sure why, but something about the original just did not work out as I had hoped it would. Maybe I went in, with too much of an expectation, where as the second one, I did not, and somehow it was more enjoyable, at least to me that is. Oh yeah, I have experienced a few blackouts, when I finally find an interesting or very enjoyable movie, often late at night. I remember very much, it happened back in 2008, when I saw most of Sideways (2004) for the first time. Not sure why it took me so long, but I loved the film and characters, very funny and charming, but also contained some rather sad scenes as well. Anyway, of course, with about 20-25 minutes left, the tv-channel suddenly went black, and it stayed like that for the rest of the night. The next day, I went immediately down to the city and ordered the film on DVD. 2-3 days later, I got it, and watched the whole thing through, and well, it did get a happy ending, but I was quite annoyed and angry that when I first experienced a blackout, for the first time, in so many years, it had to happen when I saw a really good movie. But at least, I got it on DVD, and now I can watch it, whenever I want to. I believe I have only seen the first Wishmaster movie, and enjoyed it, or so I remember. Might try to track down the second one, as I think it has been often lying around in different second hand stores, from time to time. Yeah, I barely bother with what the critics or reviews says, specially when it comes to horror and sci-fi movies. But I know quite a few people, who will never watch a film, if it has a rating lower the 7,0 on IMDb, and for me, that is just crazy. If I should have followed that same path, most of my favorite horror films, would have to be wiped out of my memory, as they usually have somewhere between 5,0 and 6,5 on the IMDb rating scale, but then again, horror films, rarely seem to gather good ratings on that site. Speaking of actors, well, some, maybe never got really big, but a few seemed to have potential for a movie career, but where I guess their egos might have had something to do with how it all backfired, still, David Caruso is one of those, who enjoyed huge success early on, with NYPD Blue, but left after a short while, to try his luck as the leading man in Hollywood. Jade and Kiss of Death, both arrived in 1995, and neither of the films is all that bad, but I guess since they never hit off, with either the audience nor the critics, his days as leading man, was soon back to starring in straight to video and made for tv films, some where not that bad. Of course, he did have a very successful comeback to the tv-media, with CSI Miami, but somewhere back in his mind, it must be annoying to see how it all turned so bad, so fast. But according to what I have read about his behaviour, specially on the set of NYPD Blue, I guess he did come off, as a bit "challenging" and had a bit of the "primadonna" act going. Don Jonhson is another, which I guess for most, will forever be known for his role as Sonny Crockett in Miami Vice, but he did try to breakout from that character, but few of his films managed to do very well, not bad ones, but he soon did have a tv-comeback, with Nash Bridges. Still, for the last 10-15 years, he has had quite a nice "comeback" in a lot of very good/great films, rarely as the lead, but in some very interesting and memorable smaller parts, and he seems to enjoy himself doing that kind of work. William Petersen is also a favorite of mine, who seemed to have something going for him, with great performances in some terrific 80s crime films, like To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) and Manhunter (1986), both which has gotten cult classic status, but at the time, sadly did not do that well on the box office numbers, and I think Petersen also said no to quite a few roles, in films like Platoon and Goodfellas (I believe it was the part of Henry Hill, which went to Ray Liotta), and if he had done them, his career might have become much bigger, instead he soon ended up in a whole lote of "daddy roles", not many main roles, and if so, it was usually in straight to video releases. But, as with David Caruso, he would have quite an impressive comeback, in the crime show, CSI and where I think both the show, and the character he played, were heavily influenced by Manhunter and Will Graham. I used to purchase quite a few films and albums through Amazon before, but the increase in shipping, means that the cost is gotten to such ridiculous huge amount of money, that I can get 10-15 films or albums for the same price as just one film (I was to buy it from Amazon.com, the American version) and that is just not something I am very "tempted" to do. About Mark Hammill, have you seen The Guyver? I think he has a part in that film, supposedly a fantasy/super hero movie, might be Roger Corman production of the early 90s, but one I have often been meaning to give a go. It has been 12 days since I put in the order of The Church and their Starsfish release, along with others, but I guess since they are considered to be import releases, it might take somewhere between 8-16 days, or more, before they arrive. Golden Earring I have no clue about, but might be one of those bands, who I have heard a song of, but never caught the name of the artist. I will try to check out them when I get the chance. Well, that is it for now, as always, nice to hear from you, and you be sure to have a great weekend. By the way, I feel kind of bad, for not giving you some nice words about your lovely avatars, I guess sometimes they change from time to time, but always in a fitting and nice way. Not sure if you have heard any of her music (Annie), but have been going through her 2004 song, Heartbeat (which I think is produced by Røyksopp) that got quite some great reviews back in fall of that year, and I think still sounds as good as when I first listened to it. A nice fall/autumn vibe going on, very strong.

When it comes to the Election you are best not to trust any party that says they can make everything better ‘cause they are full of crap () and nobody can just make this go away ‘cause it has been going for close to two years as it is and there is no easy one step solution to it and it is fog talk or what you call ‘tåkeprat’ in Norway and here we simply just call it Politicians talking out their arses and they have had years of experience doing that.
() That is good you are planning on re-watching some of the ‘Hellraiser’ and ‘Children of the Corn’ movies and I loved the first three ‘Hellraiser’ movies and thought 4 was okay too but the franchise went downhill in my opinion after that and hasn’t been able to recover since and I wish they had kept making more movies like the first three with Pinhead and the Cenobites at the front and centre with Kirsty or Joey as the lead.
Hi Stefancrosscoe
How are you going this week? Thanks and it is a good thing I’m not going to work at the moment or I would have had to have a few days off that ‘cause in my line of work you can’t be dizzy or unfocused or accidents can happen with things like scissors and pins and being a clumsy person I’m pretty lucky I haven’t had any accidents at work and prefer to keep it that way. () I miss my work though and I can’t wait to see everybody again especially my friend, Judy and my boss and I am going to give both of them the biggest hugs when I see them and Judy has been so bored during the Lockdown and she often jokes on the phone that Beccy and I should adopt her so she can live with us and the only good things about the Lockdown are Beccy gets to work at home some days and I have been able to spend more time with our pets and going over things I wouldn’t usually have time to do but I have a feeling Occy and Sally are going to be upset when I go back and our neighbours will probably hear barking and crying coming from our house if they are home.
I wrote more about the young boy (AJ) in my private message but one thing I forgot to mention was how we have had some missing children cases where one person who lost custody of their child due to them being abusive kidnapped them and took them to another country and the other parent was unable to get them back and have you heard about cases like that and worse are the people who kill their own children so their exes can’t have them and it takes a monster to do something like that and that was what sadly happened to Rosie Batty who went onto become one of our ‘Australian of the Year’ recipients for her hard work in raising awareness of domestic violence . I never watched ‘Jackass’ but my Sister and I used to watch ‘Australia’s Funniest Home Videos’ when it was on Channel 9 some nights and that had people having accidents and hurting themselves but none of them were serious injuries or had people coming close to death and you would have to be a pretty sick and twisted individual to find that type of thing funny. One very dangerous thing I remember hearing some people were doing a few years ago near Sydney was standing on the sides of bridges and dropping large boulders off on the vehicles below and it surprisingly didn’t lead to any deaths but there were some people that had to be taken to hospital and after a few weeks the Police eventually caught them and they were arrested.
One of the hardest things about the Lockdown with work aside from not being able to go to work for months is hearing about all the people in the town who have been testing positive to the virus lately and the numbers sadly haven’t been going down and they are still one of the biggest Hotspots in our state and that doesn’t look like it is going to change anytime soon and it is a wonder we haven’t seen a rise in cases in our town from people coming from there. That is good your Mum has had the Pfizer vaccine too ‘cause while there are some side effects it is worth getting it to protect us from the virus and in the coming weeks there are going to be quite a few places people won’t be able to visit unless they have a passport here that says they have been vaccinated which makes it even more important to get it but I am not sure if the passports are the best approach to dealing with Anti-Vaxxers ‘cause I think it could result in some of them getting violent when they are told they can’t come in places.
It is something I fear will just turn more people on each other in the long run and there are already a few Politicians here trying to use it to their advantage and saying if we vote for them they will get rid of it and end all the Lockdowns across our country which is actually something the Federal Politicians can’t do since the State Governments are in charge of that which our Prime Minister knows very well since the Premiers have made it clear who are running things here in Australia and some of them get paid more than him along with many other Prime Ministers and Presidents all around the world now thanks to all the pay rises they have given themselves over the years and do your State Politicians do the same thing in Norway or don’t have that power there? One thing our Premier, Gladys Berejiklian recently done that annoyed a lot of people was announce she won’t be doing her press conferences about the pandemic every morning anymore where she reveals the number of cases and deaths and people vaccinated and people believe she is doing it ‘cause the cases and deaths are so high and she doesn’t want to look bad saying them.
We have had some good news though and it appears the Lockdown might end sooner than planned since a lot of people are getting the vaccine and then we will be free as a bird to go to where we want again but the numbers are staying high and we have had another 1351 cases and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours and it looked like it was going down but is rising again now and we have seen our numbers go up higher and break records never seen before but at least the number of vaccinated people in New South Wales is rising and we should hit the targeted destination to open up again. Thank you for answering my questions and with many young people catching the Coronavirus now due to the new Delta strand it does not take much for our children to spread it and I know I would be concerned about catching it if I were a Teacher or I had children going to School and I think keeping them at home is the best thing to do at the moment with the numbers still being high but I agree with the people who believe there needs to be more focus put on their mental health and how the pandemic has been affecting them.
Thank you for letting me know about Horror movies in Norway too and it was the same here with Horror movies and we had some good ones in the past but it wasn’t until the success of ‘Wolf Creek’ in 2005 the Horror genre really took off in Australia and we have had Horror movies like ‘WYRMWOOD’, ‘The Banadook’, ‘Lake Mungo’, ‘Prey’ and ‘Black Water’ since then that have received a lot of praise from critics and fans and have you heard of ‘Charlie’s Farm?’ That had Kane Hodder in it but he didn’t play the villain and the villain was played by former WWE superstar, Nathan Jones and did you know they made a Marvel Horror movie here? Few Marvel fans know it exists but it was a movie of ‘Man Thing’ that came out in 2005 and had Rachael Taylor in it and it got a lot of negative reviews but it is worth seeing if you are a fan of the character. Then there was one I rented from the video shop years ago I liked but I could never quite remember what the name of the movie was until recently when I found out it was ‘Cubbyhouse’ and if you are looking for a movie with killer gnomes you should watch that one. ()
Another two I almost forgot about were ‘Daybreakers’ and ‘Gabriel’ and I’m not sure if ‘Daybreakers’ was released outside of Australia but it had Ethan Hawke in it with Australian Actress, Claudia Karvan and ‘Gabriel’ was about the Archangel and takes place inside of purgatory and the movie got a mixed reaction and some liked it and others hated it but Beccy and I thought it was okay and wouldn’t have minded seeing the three hour original version that was cut. Not an Australian Horror movie but one I like from New Zealand was ‘Black Sheep’ and if you haven’t seen that movie it is pretty funny and we have it on DVD and are going to re-watch it in the next few days. I have heard of some of the movies you listed and I don’t think I have seen them but I recognise the names like ‘Trollhunter’ from Horror sites I look at and I will look into seeing that along with ‘Babycall’ and ‘Thale’ but will be sure to avoid ‘Whore’ going on the way you have described it. ()
I am glad you liked ‘Pumpkinhead’, ‘C.H.U.D.’, ‘Chopping Mall’ and ‘976-Evil’ and I think they are very underrated compared to other Horror movies that came out around the same time but have become more well-known over the past decade and I agree with what you said about ‘C.H.U.D.’ but I enjoyed the sequel too even though it was different. I also prefer the sequel to ‘976-Evil’ to the first one but I always watch the two together and like how even though they had a different character as lead they brought back the lead from the first movie to connect them together and did you know the first one was directed by Robert Englund ‘cause I was surprised to find that out later. I think ‘Pumpkinhead’ is a great Horror movie that had a lot of potential to be a franchise with 5-7 movies but the second one was a big letdown and I heard they made a third movie years later and they even made a fourth but I have heard they weren’t very good either which is a shame but we will still check them out one day.
Yeah. It is annoying when you have a blackout during a movie you are enjoying and finding out it was so close to ending makes it even more frustrating but it is good you didn’t have to wait long to watch the rest of it and you enjoyed the way it ended. We also had a wrestling pay per view cut off due to a storm interfering in the reception and it was during the last match and we had to wait for the repeat and when we got to see that a few hours later it turned out the match had only gone for like another 30 seconds and it was over. I thought you might like ‘Wishmaster’ and the second one is good too but a lot of fans didn’t like the third and fourth and I wouldn’t say they are unwatchable ‘cause three wasn’t that bad but they were very disappointing ‘cause of how powerful the Djinn was and the type of wishes they could have used in the movies and it felt like the writers had either run out of ideas to use or they were limited with what they could do ‘cause of the budget. As much as I have liked a lot of recent Horror movies I feel what many of them have been lacking is memorable iconic villains like we had with Freddy, Jason, Michael and Leatherface and I think the Djinn, Candy Man and Pinhead especially had the potential to be bigger like those characters but the latter movies failed them and I am glad Candy Man is getting another go now.
I have noticed how some people are like that with reviews and they miss out on a lot of good movies they might enjoy if they gave them a chance ‘cause they only watch what is popular and with IMDB I remember seeing some members admit to creating multiple profiles so they could give bad scores to movies they didn’t like so it is kinda hard to trust IMDB’s ratings when they were letting members do that and probably still let them do it now. It is hard to say what happened with some Actors that had the potential to be big but never quite made it as big as many people thought they would and I have heard some stories about fame going to Actor’s heads after they had been in a really successful role and they thought they were too big to appear in smaller movies or shows but there are some Actors especially on TV people believe were typecast ‘cause their names were too known for being tied to a certain role and people always see them as that one character they played. Although some of them get lucky and have another popular role like Richard Dean Anderson did in ‘Stargate SG1’ after being the lead in ‘MacGyver; and I am surprised over how much of a comeback Don Johnson has had.
No. I haven’t seen ‘The Guyver’ and this is the first I have heard of it but it sounds interesting and the only other live action roles I remember Mark Hamill being in apart from the ones I mentioned before was in the remake of ‘Village of the Damned’, Stephen King’s ‘Sleepwalkers’ and a guest appearance as himself in ‘Just Shoot Me’ and did you see them? I am sorry to hear you are still waiting to get The Church album and hope you have got it by now and has there been any delays with orders in Norway due to the pandemic ‘cause there has been here and items we have ordered haven’t been coming as quick as they used to during our latest Lockdown. I hope you like Golden Earring and they have a lot of great songs out going back to the 60s and their earlier stuff sounds very similar to the Beatles and they have changed a lot since then and I would recommend listening to Please Go, If You Ever Leave Me, Nobody But You, That Day, Just A Little Bit Of Peace In My Heart, Where Will I Be, I've Just Lost Somebody and Songs On A Devil's Servant when it comes to their early stuff.
Beccy and I have got a few new albums this month like Seven Spires’ new album, ‘God of Gods of Debauchery’ (which I love) Anette Olzon’s ‘Strong’, ‘Cruzh’s ‘Tropical Thunder’, Garbage’s ‘No Gods No Masters’, Foo Fighters’ ‘Medicine At Midnight’, Hardline’s ‘Heart, Mind And Soul’, Inner Stream’s ‘Stain the Sea’, Liz Phair’s ‘Soberish’, Iron Maiden’s ‘Senjutsu’ and Night Ranger’s ‘ATBPO’ along with a new box set of the Beach Boys featuring unreleased material and an Anniversary Deluxe Edition of George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass’ which is a great album. The albums I’m looking forward to getting the most now are Eclipse, Vega and Abba’s new albums and did you hear about Abba getting back together? I can’t believe they done it and put out new music after so many years and my Auntie is a big fan and is excited about the new album too. That’s okay and thank you for saying that about my Avatars and I like changing them from time to time but sometimes I will find one I really like and keep it longer than others and back when I was on the old IMDB Board my avatar wasn't the only thing that changed and I often changed my username too and I still do that now on my friend's forum but decided to stick with this one before the IMDB Board closed. Thank you for sharing that video and no, I hadn't heard of Annie before but she sounds very good. I am going to finish off now and it has been lovely catching up with you again and I will await your next reply and be back to reply to you then and hope you have a great week.
