I love Motörhead's version, but I quite enjoyed the 30th Anniversary Edition of the song, too, where they used both Lemmy and Ozzy's vocals.

As I always said some of the best hand picked songs
strangely enough usually come from horror films .
Thanks so much FridayOnElmStreet for
this so awesome song reminder here too .

Always loved that song/theme from surely one of the best made, of the early 80s slashers. Have just been watching through a bit of the In Search of Darkness Part II (2020), and where I think it was brought up that the mining shaft, that were used as location for the film, got cleaned up, because the owners wanted it to look good and neat for when the filmcrew and actors were gonna show up. However, the filmmakers had to redo it, in order to capture the true horrific and grim look and style of a real well worn mine shaft, and well, I am glad they did, because the use of locations along with such a ruthless and scary villain, makes it into a very stand out release, with all the Friday the 13th knock-offs. Having heard the theme you posted, it kind of want to pick up and re-watch it, as I usually does so during winter time. I guess this comes from me, first getting to know it by the 2009 winter release of the uncut DVD version, and I feel it fits more in with colder and darker time of the year, not during hot summer nights. Anyway, thanks for posting the beautiful and still kind of haunting main theme by John McDermott. Sadly, I did watch the much later remake, and well, I guess it is better not to say too much, about something which just, yeah, were not my kind of "fun".

As I always said some of the best hand picked songs
strangely enough usually come from horror films . Just had to bring up, that this was also getting some nice attention (in the 80s horror documentary In Search of Darkness Part II), that there were so many great musical scores and songs being made for all these horror releases, during the 1980s. No surprise, that specially within the world of rock and metal music scene, it really hit off, but also how much influence the minimalistic John Carpenter and Alan Howarth scores would bring on. I was happy to see the much love for both the film and the soundtrack by Fastway, and their Trick or Treat (1986) contribution.

Re-watched Dumb & Dumber (1994) for the first time in years, and while I will always have Kingpin (1996) as my favorite of the classic Farrelly brothers 90s comedy trio, along with There's Something About Mary (1998), I think their first two films, stands out a bit more than their rest, due to all the melodic, catchy and feel-good music appearing, also having Todd Rundgren making some instrumentals as well, which sadly I think, is not yet released on an official score.
The shame is that my Dumb & Dumber CD soundtrack, misses so many of the great and best cuts from the movie, and I was somehow so sure, that this one were included, but yeah, turns out, it was not. Thankfully, one managed to find it on Youtube:
The Rembrandts - Rolling Down the Hill (1994)
