While I'm glad that the Harvey Weistein scandal has encouraged victims of other Hollywood harassers and/or rapists to speak out so that action can be taken, I think we should be careful about how we handle it. I know that it's almost impossible to find evidence with this kind of crime, especially years later, but that doesn't mean there can't be an investigation. There could be witnesses, old security footage, etc... You never know. I doubt the Netflix people tried to really investigate this. I mean, this announcement was made a mere 12 hours later? I'm not calling Anthony Rapp a liar, but I also don't want to condemn Kevin immediately.

Reasons aside, good. The show has been stretched out far enough. You know the original UK version was only like 12 episodes? I stopped watching this one after season 3.

Even popular shows usually don't make it past 6 or 7 seasons. And House of Cards is far past its sell-by date. Really hasn't been very good since season 2.

The negative reaction to Spacey's coming out after Rapp made his accusation public is a bit unfair. What did people expect Spacey to do? He was going to have to either come out or lie about his same-sex attraction, whatever recollection he might or might not have of the alleged incident.

What bothers me is, I am completely behind him getting justice, but it affects the rest of the cast and crew of the projects he was involved in, as now they're movies both take loads of negative publicity and also may affect their cast's chances at awards and/or acclaim. |

Kevin hadn't said the words "I'm gay," but he didn't exactly hide it either. Therefore, there was no reason for him to mention his sexuality. I can't speak for the rest, but I didn't condemn Harvey right away either. I waited to see what would happen with that 1st accusation. |
