A lot to get through today. First of all, joint record amount of centuries in one week (12), with a couple of players just marginally missing out on the party. And well done to to all of you who are still taking part. Very impressed that only one player has dropped out. It takes mental strength and character to carry on in the face of adversity, and the lord, or nature, or whatever it is you choose to believe will smile upon favourably on all you warriors who don't know the meaning of the word 'quit', I'm sure of that. It is worth pointing out again though that massive deficits can be overcome, the two runaway leaders at this stage last season did not win it. Anyway, erm, yes, myself was top scorer this week with 170 (I don't think that will be enough to win the Stanley Cup, so still all to play for there). Also big congrats to Weststigersbob for scoring a 150, he can probably feel a little aggrieved that he isn't top, that would have been title winning form last season. But keep that pace up and anything can happen. And well done to who_ru who scores 130 to keep his title hopes alive, and sdm3 & zxawxc (dougy) also scoring 130s and been reasonably solid this year as well as Izzyanygood who is enjoying a renaissance with a couple of good scores recently. It's a relentless pace at the moment. If it makes you feel any better, I think it is highly unlikely that either me or FCMini will keep this pace up over the next 10 weeks or over the course of the season. |

Watford v Stoke was the only game I got a zero in.
I'm still punching well above my weight. I was hoping for a mid table finish, and will still be happy with that. Top 5 and I'll be dancing (figuratively).

Thanks for the kind words Stanley. Watford v Stoke was the only game I got a zero in. I'm still punching well above my weight. I was hoping for a mid table finish, and will still be happy with that. Top 5 and I'll be dancing (figuratively). I scored zero in that game too, as well as Palace-West Ham. |

It is the self belief that I am losing now. It seems I won't even have an entry in Stanley Cup. I need to do something soon. |

If you can pinch back 20 points a week, you will win it by a landslide. In fact you only need to gain back an average of 12.86 points/week. So it isn't as big a mountain as it seems. Baby steps AJ, baby steps! Or if your target is a CL place, then it is even more doable. My target, I would just like to get in the overall top 10, even just for one week, that would do me. I could then die happy. |

Fuck, Lawro has gone for the two scores that I had in the Newcastle-Bournemouth & Swansea-Brighton games, before I decided to change them. Which makes me more nervous now. Ah well, what does Lawro know anyway? |

EPL Prediction league Trivia Myth or real? I may probably score zero point in this week's EPL contest. Has it happened before? Legend has it that runie once scored zero points for the week but later claimed that he forgot to make the predictions!

Well, father jack was the source of this info. I don't know if he was joking or serious.
I once scored a zero but I did forget (I promise). It was during a bad spell, and doing the predictions just wasn't on the forefront of my mind. It is pretty difficult to legitimately score a zero over 10 games. Even if the games were down to pure chance, with an equal probability of a home win/draw/away win, and you just entered random scores, you'd have a 1.7% chance of scoring a zero. Probably better odds if you were actually trying to score a zero though and you took these assumptions away. |

Ur- i am not overly bothered if everyone believes me pal, but glad you do. The fact is I admitted to getting zero points - i was laughing at myself, and no one had a pop at me for me to get over sensitive and take it back - which i would never do anyway.. then i realised i actually didn't save them - if i was lying why would i have slated myself - many of us have missed the odd week and state it- it is quite normal to forget sometimes when you are busy or on holiday or whatever or not saving the predictions.
Now i really try to remember - i normally do it very early due to this - which isnt really the best method - its best to wait and find out the teams and stuff
