I think it depends on the person. I watch 'Arrow', 'Supergirl', 'The Flash' and 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' and loved 'Smallville' but a lot of my friends who were 'Smallville' fans aren't big fans of the 'Arrowverse' and some of my friends who'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' didn't like 'Smallville' or any of the new superhero TV shows and a lot of it has to do with the shows being so different. 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' was written with an adult audience in mind and had mainstream appeal which is why it got around 20-30 million viewers a week and slaughtered a lot of other shows that people now call the greatest of all time while 'Smallville' was written for a teenage audience in its early years and then changed its target audience to comic book fans in the second half (as actually said by one of the showrunners on the special features) while the 'Arrowverse' shows try to appeal to both. 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' will always be my favourite though followed by 'Smallville' then the 'Arrowverse' shows.

I liked The New Adventures of Superman when i watched it back in the 90s. But i don`t enjoy it as much now as i did than.
