It seemed like KARI-GURASHI NO ARIETTI (THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY) was going to be a more quiet and intimate adaptation of Mary Norton's novel than THE BORROWERS. Unfortunately, it's a boring adaptation with little to no conflict and a lame villain.
