Thankfully, they still haven't REHASHED Jaws yet...the sequels were SHITTY ENOUGH already. "Nature strikes back" genre isn't exactly en vogue anyway. I blame Hollywood for being too rich, urban and arrogant. Late 60s to mid 70s was very socially conscious period for cinema and the golden period of eco-horror. Now movies treat the idea of nature turning against and triumphing over man as a joke.

I think the problem with 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' and 'Mannequin' is they are both products of their time and a lot of people in the current younger generation wouldn't know what they are. As for the others, I remember reading there were plans for a TV show of 'The Breakfast Club' but I am not sure if it is still happening or it was tossed out with the horrible remake of 'Murder She Wrote' with a twenty something year old Jessica Fletcher in New York. I am glad Angela Lansbury stopped that from happening 'cause that would have been awful.

Goonies. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Back to the future. The Breakfast Club. Gremlins. Flash Dance. Die Hard. Mannequin. Dude, cuz they can't remake every single film.
