Love beer and have tried many, many kinds of beer. I know some people make fun of beers like Busch and Budweiser. A popular place opened in 2014 near me called Numbers Brewing Company. They only serve craft beers. Four of us decided to check it out. We all like our beer but one of the girls said she would only drink two or three and she would drive us home. Two of us usually drink Busch and two of us usually drink Bud. The place was nice and had a fun atmosphere. Now for the beer. They had probably over 12 different craft beers to choose from. Since we had a designated driver and no one had to work the next day we decided to try as many as we could. (ended up trying them all) We took turns buying rounds. We had a blast but after we finished our last beers we all agreed NONE of them were as good as Bud or Busch. And the thing is if we would have went to a regular bar and drank the same numbers of beers and had say Busch we would have spent half the money. The moral of the story is you can spend a ton of money on fancy beers but none of them are near as good as Budweiser or Busch.
Some places near where I live you can get a 30 pack of Busch for &15.99 plus tax. Can't beat that!

...try a Lagunitus Imperial Stout and you will change your mind... I will try it but I hope it taste as good as gold. I looked up the average price of Lagunitus Imperial Stout. Here is the math. To buy 360oz's of Busch (30 pack) it is $16.00 dollars. To buy just 264oz's of Lagunitus Imperial Stout (12 pack at 22oz's a bottle) it would set me back $50 dollars. So getting Busch not only are you getting 96 more ounces of beer you are paying $34 dollars less.

Plus, Lagunitas doesn't taste like urine.

...and you only need one bottle of Lagunitus Imperial Stout to quench your thirst, not a 12 pack of bland beer...

Like I said in the OP after trying 12 or more expensive craft beers none of them came close to tasting as good as Bud or Busch. But as I said I will give Lagunitas Imperial Stout a try.

...to be sure, Lagunitus Imperial Stout is a specific type of brew and is in no way to be compared with Lagers or Pilsners...
The Imperial Stout is meant to be sipped and not guzzled...

I have to disagree, to me craft/microbrewed beer is definitely better vs. macro beers like Bud, Miller, Coors, etc. Or as we craft drinkers often say, 'BMC' beers. That said, I'm not entirely opposed to drinking cheap macros once in a while, unlike some craft beer drinkers. Some of them I think are vile and I don't care for(i.e. Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light, MGD), though there are some that I don't mind drinking if there aren't good craft beer choices available(i.e. Miller High Life, Hamm's, PBR, etc). Or heck, if I felt like being cheap and wanted to save money! To each their own, I guess. Redrinking Bud Light not long ago when I was somewhere with barely any beer selection, reinforced in my mind how much I hated that beer.

There is no way you can convince me that Bud and Busch is "just as good or better" than most craft brews. I've tried enough of them to know the difference between a good beer and an average beer. Over the last 5 years I've probably tried over 500 different beers.
My only real complaint about craft beer is the inconsistency. Craft beers don't always taste the way they should which is something I can respect the mega-brewers for. No matter where you buy a Bud it almost always tastes the same.
But for example... this beer here (Fresh Squeezed IPA) is one of the best you can get, here's a short video review of it, there is no way in hell Bud is a better beer than this.... no way... and yes, it REALLY does taste like this.
Although Fresh Squeezed IPA is easy to drink, I don't recommend IPA (India Pale Ale) for new people. They can be quite bitter.
New people are better off with Brown Ale, English Style Old Ale, Stouts, Belgian Dubbels and Quadrupels. Even though Stouts can be hard to drink too, it just depends on how sweet the brewer decides to make it. But yeah, stouts can taste like chocolate or roasted coffee beans or a combination of the two.
Anyhow, as far as taste goes, craft is leaps and bounds ahead of cheap American adjunct lagers like Bud and Busch.

Out of probably 13 different craft beers not one of us found one we thought was even close to being as good as Busch or Bud. Plus I have had many craft beers in the past and never found any as good as Bud or Busch. On top of that you are paying a lot more money for beers not nearly as good as those two.

Fair enough, but most beer rating/reviewing websites disagree. For example, on beeradvocate.com after 6,243 votes, Budweiser is currently rated 2.36 out of 5. Which is not a "bad" score, but it still ranks lower than your average craft beers like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Samuel Adams Boston Lager. Which SN:Pale Ale is currently rated 4.03 out of 5 after 11,364 votes. Boston Lager is rated 3.74 out of 5 after 9,220 votes. On ratebeer.com Budweiser is rated at 0 out of 100... lol! Now that is just ridiculous to give Bud that low of a score. It's not THAT bad. It's just really bland when compared to other craft beers. Either way, the general consensus is that Budweiser is not as good as most craft beers. However, everyone's palate is different, what tastes good to you might not taste all that great to someone else. On a side note: I wouldn't drink craft beers consecutively like that. You need a clean palate to judge a beer. www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/140/276/www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/35/104/www.ratebeer.com/beer/budweiser/473/

Ohh one more thing I wanted to mention... since you do like the taste of Bud, I would suggest these beers here...
Modelo Especial (in my opinion, of the popular Mexican made beers, this is the best one)
Paulaner HefeWeizen.
Firestone Walker 805
Kona Brewing Big Wave Golden Ale
you would probably like these just as much if not more than Bud.

I think those modelos is what I drink at this one place when they don't have bud. It's ok but I wouldn't pick that over bud

When you say everyone's palate is different you got that right. When I was working a few people swore by the two beers you mentioned (Sierra Nevada and Samuel Adams) and another called Stella Artois. They convinced me to try them. They were horrible. I got a six pack of each. Ended up giving most of the beer to my neighbor. (he will drink anything if it is free)

I think those modelos is what I drink at this one place when they don't have bud. It's ok but I wouldn't pick that over bud I think Especial is more flavorful than Bud but to each his own, I guess... Light lagers like Bud, Miller, Coors are really bland beers though, not much flavor going on in beers like this.

I don't particularly care for Miller, but I'll drink whatever.

This is the best way to try before you commit to a sixer. But I've never tried Stella Artois but I used to drink a lot of the Boston Lager.

I didn't care about taste I just wanted to get buzzed but now I am more into tasting different brews than I am into getting drunk. Here's a video review of a beer that really got me into going for "taste" rather than just trying to get drunk... on a side note: even though they call this a "barely wine" it is a beer. I wish I could drink this stuff everyday but it's limited release and quite expensive on a per bottle basis.
