the campaign for thor 3 and gotg really shows just how much marvel is obsessed with trying to outsmart everyone regardless of the lack of quality in their movies, they are lunching Oscar campaigns because DC is doing so with wonder woman. So they will likely cancel each other out. Actually, the desperation of MCU to try to match DC by getting an Oscar will help Wonder Woman even more because when the Academy sees the kiddie comedies that MCU is trying to promote as Oscar material and compare that to the vastly superior movie that Wonder Woman is, it'll make Wonder Woman look even more outstanding. Nah, they'll realize WW is merely a decent film that got boosted from people being afraid of being labeled misogynists for not praising it (especially in a post Weinstein world) and the buzz will die off. They just need to watch actual good CBMs next to it to realize it.

Funny, I hear haters reiterate that narrative since WW came out months ago: "Next week they will realize it's just a MCU rip off/not actually that good and it will be forgotten". And yet, here we still are with the most discussed and reviewed CMB this year and being a hot tip for major categories at the Globes and Academy Awards. .

JL hasn't premiered to wipe out the hype, and the Weinstein scandal has also given people another reason to start praising a movie starring a woman hero. Now it's political.

I think Grace Randolph is right about Wonder Woman getting a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
MCU fans who are in full panic mode try to dismiss it by saying "Well, no superhero movie has ever been nominated for a Best Picture Oscar nomination". But 10 years ago, we could also say "Well, no African-American has ever been elected POTUS".
Before 2008, movie studios weren't releasing multiple superhero movies per year and the few superhero movies that were released didn't have much of an audience outside of comic book fans. But in 2008, The Dark Knight became the 1st superhero movie to draw in large numbers of non-comic book fans. The Academy even changed the rules for the Best Picture category because of The Dark Knight.
And now, movie studios are often releasing multiple superhero movies per year and the CBM genre has become a major genre within the industry. And with the maximum number of Best Picture nominations increased from 5 to 10, Wonder Woman is very likely to get a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
When Obama ran for POTUS in 2008, millions of people who had been eligible to vote in previous Presidential elections but never voted before registered to vote and cast their vote for Obama because they wanted to be part of history. And like Grace Randolph pointed out in her video, Wonder Woman is a historic movie so many Academy voters will feel they rather be part of history than stand in the way of history. So how come you don't say how hot she is or how much you want to have sex with her on your main account dakprescottfan? I'm not dakprescottfan so you'll have to ask him.

I still believe Wonder Woman can win Best Picture at the Oscars! Girl Power!
