His work with Robert Altman, Steven Spielberg, John Boorman, Michael Cimino, and Brian DePalma produced some truly beautiful images.

Great work on Close Encounters. His work truly shines in the last 30 minutes of the film.

Most recently I was thoroughly impressed with Seamus McGarvey's work on Nocturnal Animals. I wasn't a huge fan of the cinematography in 'The Avengers', 'Life', and 'Pan', however he really put a lot of thought into the lighting, positioning, and aesthetic of Tom Ford's noir masterpiece (In my opinion). His work on 'The Accountant' was also rather impressive, I thought the lighting was handled really well.
