Hi, I'm new here, so I'm going in at the deep end of Magic and mayhem. Darker Dearie Much Darker.
Does anyone know what inspired:
Adam Horowits and Edward Kitsis to write: "Dearie" into Robert Carlyle's persona Rumplestiltskin - Mr Gold - The Dark One?
Where does this word originate from and whats the purpose of its use?

I wonder if it was Robert himself who decided to use the term, it is very British. It is also kind and yet condescending.

I remember you from the OUAT boards at IMDb. You sure like the word Dearie. I love it Dearie, I am very fond of it, I think Football Fans don't like it, I'm saying it on BBC Football HYS Forums that the BBC Sport pages put up. And the fans fall over in anger because of the word Dearie. Not on the First Date hey Dearie!
