Dude, it’s 2017 and you guys still have a “queen”. And you’re just now realizing that it’s not a serious country anymore?

Yeah, we all lie awake at night fervently wishing that we could be serious enough to have Donald Trump as our Head of State instead. Hey, I’m not saying that we haven’t lost any credibility ourselves. But Donald Trump is a very recent example of America turning ridiculous. England hasn’t changed in thousands of years. Have you ever watched a session of Parliament? That shit is like comedy gold!

Have you ever watched a session of Parliament? That shit is like comedy gold! I don't imagine the U.S. Congress is any better. Actually, as bad as Congress is with filibustering in the Senate, it’s nothing compared to how Parliament is run. There is almost no order and discipline going on, and it’s basically whoever can speak first and shout the loudest gets heard. And that’s not even the worst example. Some Eastern European countries have systems that can often result in bare knuckle fistfights. Americans are really spoiled, and we complain about shit oftentimes out of ignorance. As bad as our country seems to suck nowadays, if most Americans knew just how “good” we have it compared to some other places of equivalent social development, they’d complain a lot less. You’re never going to have a perfect system because of the human factor. But as bad as our system is, it’s pretty much the best the world has to offer.

The Labour Party is having an Islamophobia Awareness Week. After the CPS and police had a "Hate Crime Awareness Week" I'm sure I've posted the stats before. Its a non issue.

Why is it now against the law to hate people? We should be allowed to hate whoever we want as long as we're not committing an actual crime.

All that is saying is that police have another procedure for gaining reasonable suspicion about any possible criminal activity. I think it's usually the way that when the police act upon these hate crime reports, they are not arsed about what he said or she said, all they are arsed about is gaining access to possible drugs, guns, money or any other illegal contraband they can seize.

Whether that is true or not is largely irrelevant. The police in a First World democracy are charging people with thought crimes. They do not have to prove "hate" as a motivator, but can charge you for it. Think about that.

Joking aside, the Oxford Dictionary of the "English" English (excuse me, English as spoken in England) is still a required desk accessory for American journalists along with Webster's (American English) and the American Heritage Dictionary.
