All you will get with Disney Xmen is better production value, accurate costumes and structured film slates with continuity. But it will be lighthearted, camp, formulaic, low stakes, cheap villains, gloss over dramatic issues, overly reliant on comedy and the cheesy scripted action sequences with quip after quip. Dude, you can give it up. Nobody cares about your whining. You're just missing out. Its my opinion that generally the Fox Xmen films have been better than the MCU films. And the only thing I would miss out on is what I said: production value, costumes and a structured universe which isnt a big deal to me. I can see why you dont like the "random" movies they produced with little continuity, but that had its positives too in being unpredictable and off the cuff.

Yeah I've been hoping to get an actual X-Verse for awhile instead the aimlessly wandering series they've been putting out, so I think this is fantastic news.
But disparaging the MCU is just ridiculous. So please stop. It sounds silly honestly.

What I want to know is how we can get rid of people who want comic book films to be like Criterion Collection fare. I avoid "serious," "realistic" drama-oriented films for a reason. Don't encourage that stuff to infect a genre I enjoy.

But the XCU formula is okay? They've made more good movies than they have bad so it's not horrible. 6 good movies, 3 bad, and 1 okay. About a 66% success rate with the dependence on how you move the 1 okay movie (which for me is a 5/10). The MCU to me has almost that exact same success rate of 68% with 11 good movies, 5 bad, and 3 okay. I just don't want all of these movies to have the same exact formula to them. Will the X-Men MCU films be good? I'm sure some of them will just the same as the Fox films have been. It's just nice to have a different take on these characters is all I'm saying. We don't need Cyclops running around giving quips in order to fit in with Tony Stark or Dr Strange and what not. Not saying that they will do that with the Cyclops character per say but it'll all still fall under that same formula that has made the MCU so successful. The biggest positive coming from this would be that they recast the X-men and it's rebooted which I want Fox to just do within the present day Deadpool universe because these younger X-Men kids that they have currently cast sucks. I more so just wish Fox would correct the ship in regards to the X-Men and go back to making good films instead of the direction it's going instead of just selling to the MCU. In my mind it's only a matter of time before the MCU starts to grow stale and they have to start thinking outside of the box and try new things. There is simply nothing wrong with liking the fact that the X-Men aren't tied to the MCU formula just the same as there is nothing wrong with wanting all of the Marvel properties to be under the Disney/Marvel company. It's just my own opinion, if you disagree with it so be it And you know the best part. Critics and everyone go easy on mcu movies. they pamper them like children. imagine if they were judged as hard as xmen movies or DC movies? please do the mcu ignorant fans think in a grown up world where xmen dwells iron man 2 iron man 3 thor 1 thor 2 thor 3 ant man age of ultron hulk CA 1 GOTG GOTG 2 Homecoming Dr strange will get a pass? Will Avengers 1 even get a pass once you remove the thrill of seeing the first cross over comic movie? marvel made 3 bs comedy movie this year and in a world of Logan, that will never have been tolerated in the past say early 2000s. But now no one is talking except for those that understand the craft of film making such as John Landis or long time comic book fans who get how awful MCU movies are. sadly what the mcu fans can do is make shiit up and lie 24/7

And you know the best part. Critics and everyone go easy on mcu movies. No, they just enjoy them. They are. No, just good films. Period.

They don't influence my opinion of a film in any way. I don't need their permission to find a film enjoyable. I'd be perfectly fine if that profession didn't exist outside of the fact a ton of people would be out of jobs.
