If they've already seen it and could leak those same spoilers whether they lift the embargo or not, then how is that the reason? The critics who have seen it are professionals. They don't leak spoilers because every critic knows that if they start leaking spoilers then studios aren't going to invite them to future pre-release screenings of movies anymore. They're professionals until they start giving unfavorable reviews. Amirite? I think that's the real reason why they want to wait. They don't want another BvS situation. They will wait until the last minute to allow critics to let people know how this movie is. But by doing that they will cut off part of the people that might go see it. You have the people that feel burned by BvS and the people that will go see it anyway because they like the visuals.

I'm not talking about whether it's a good or bad sign for the film, or whether or not it worries you,
Are you this concerned when other movies don't lift their embargos or as I suspect just when its a DCEU movie?

But they make good movies that are well received, so they haven't had to worry about that.

if you say so. I already did the thread where I showed all the negative elements in the reviews for Thor Ragnarok. And there were many. Been there, done that. Enjoy being a brainwashed Marvel only fanatic.

I'm not brainwashed, I'm stating the obvious. Are you actually going to try to make a case that DC has produced at the same quality level as Marvel? Surely you know it's clear they haven't right?

The quality of the DCEU is not the issue. Obviously we disagree on that. The hypocrisy saying that DC fans are the ones misbehaving is what I'm pointing out. MCU fanatics are acting out from a position of "look at how good we are! Nyah nyah nyah!" You're acting like immature bullies.

And you're overlooking all the "marvel is for kids" threads and "the MCU timelines is messed up" threads. So you aren't making the point you think you are, and honestly, I don't engage in those anyway, so it's not really my thing.
The quality is the issue if people are discussing legitimate concerns, and I don't mean petty ones, I mean "Martha" and "tornadocide" type of stuff.

I posted a thread two weeks ago asking this question and now we know that WB/DC was blatantly deceitful in deliberately hiding their reviews to the last possible minute.
How can anybody stand behind a company with so little integrity? They don't care about putting effort in for their fans. They just expect you to show up anyway. It's cringeworthy and disgusting. They know you're sitting there, they know you can't help yourself, and they're glad to take your money. Stop supporting this, and you'll end up with better movies. We all will.

Seriously? I think Scabab might have a point about some of these threads. Well they clearly hid their reviews right?

They did it to avoid spoilers.

Yes, they did. So what? It's a marketing strategy. It hardly calls for words like "disgusting" or "abuse" (which I see you edited out of your original post).

They didn't even hide them. They released them when they said they would. The RT score is a separate matter about some silly facebook series.

And yes, it's a marketing strategy based on lying to you about their product. It's a lie of omission because they know it would hurt them to tell you what people think about it. And that is disgusting behavior. It's an absolute abuse of a fanbase.

Seriously? I think Scabab might have a point about some of these threads. Yeah I've actually had to merge some of them with previous ones that are pretty much what they already exist for.
