Way to get your facts straight, analyst. Why exactly do you experience pleasure in trolling this series of thread, while adding nothing to it (when there is a friendly invitation to contribute and state your own views)? Don't you see how bad *you* look when you do this? Nobody here is interested in your empty criticism. If you can't contribute, then shut up. I'm sick and tired of your attitude. I tried to deal with it in a friendly manner last week, but no, obviously you are not interested in discussing the matter; just in trolling. It's pathetic. From this point on, I'll simply ignore your pointless interventions. Have a blast, LOL as much as you want. It's irrelevant. Have a nice life. This is britneyfoxx from the old board. The single worst troll on the internet, and by 'worst' I mean shittiest and least effective.

For those interested in the current state of affairs as of week 9, here is the link to the previous thread: [ click here] Remaining game for week 9: MNF Dolphins at Panthers ------------------ Byes: Chiefs, Raiders, Eagles, Ravens Week 10Winners: Saints - unreal, this offense is confirming its vaunted reputation but the defense is holding too. One of the best NFL teams. Winners, obviously. Ingram 3 TDs, Brees didnt even have to do much. Insane how Ingram has become a monster with Kamara. = Winners
Steelers - in a lot of trouble against the horrible Colts, but in a weak conference, at 7-2 even when you don't play well you still get to be called winners. Teams do this, they figured cake game and Colts came to play. In the end.....Pitt wins. = Winners
Vikings - in control of their destiny. Winners, at 7-2. They are easily in the drivers seat. = Winners
Titans - now at 6-3 in a weak conference, we can call them winners, no longer NME, because if they lose the division contest, should still make the wild card. Who woulda thunk two teams in AFC south could both make the playoffs. Can we call this conference "weak?" Lets be real, Colts lost Luck, Texans lost Watt and Watson. This conference looks to be strong soon. As for Titans = Winners
Jaguars - exactly the same as above. Epic defense, the kind of defense you dont wanna see.
Rams - didn't look so good at first, today, but rebounded and won again, now at 7-2 too. -God my Texans suck. = Winners
Patriots - they are making it seem easy, now. Their problems in early season are forgotten. -This is what NE does. = Winners Losers: Cardinals - their apparent recovery suffered a setback in a loss to the Seahawks. At 4-5 in the crowded NFC, they won't make the playoffs. -Im happy for AP though. Look at NO, they didnt need him, this club NEEDS him. I am happy he at least helps this club. They got no shot though. = Losers
Bills - still with a winning record but by now, who takes them seriously? They are the usual Bills, always starting hot and ending cold. After this blowout and the string of defeats, losers. -LOL I called this. People were saying best team in the league and I said just wait. KaBoom....here are the Bills. = Losers
Bears - sometimes they resist and play tough but overall they can't do much, and lost again this week. Losers. -Lost against GB....yikes. = Losers Packers - some signs of life this week; instead of being despondent without their star QB, they actually made some plays with the backup QB achieving some good passes. But it was against the lowly Bears so I'm not ready to take them out of the Losers list yet. -GB isnt going anywhere. No Rodgers, no go. = Losers
Browns - had their first good game this week but still couldn't do it. 0-9, Losers of course. -YOU CAN DO IT CLEVELAND! GO FOR THE GOLD. 0-16, COME ON, LIVE THE DREAM! = LOSERS (WITH A CHANCE TO BE WINNERS WITH AN 0-16 RECORD AND JOIN THE LIONS!) LOL losers lmaoLions - I don't really trust them anymore. They had enormous trouble beating the Browns. The Browns! At 5-4 and playing like this, their record seems insufficient to make the playoffs so I'll go ahead and call them Losers. -NFC is just too deep. I wanna say NME...but no, I cant see it for them. = Losers
Bengals - at 3-6, continue to be at a dead end. Losers. -If Lewis keeps his job....hell with this franchise. = Losers
Colts - almost pulled off an upset against the Steelers but that was atypical. They are certified losers. -No Luck, no go. = Losers
Jets - lost another one, still losers. -Least theyre not the Giants? = Losers
Bucs - won one, still losers. -I dont think Winston played, did he? They won with no Winston, interesting. Still....=Losers
Redskins - have oscillated between lists and I had some trouble calling them losers since they are usually (not always) a tough team, but after losing another one, OK, let's place them here. They could finish the season strong, though, given that other than the next game against the Saints, what is left in their schedule is a bunch of losers. But anyway, given that this week and next week they are likely to collect two Ls, they stay here for now. -I also think losers. I dont see it for them sadly. = Losers
Chargers - had been improving but lost again in spite of the opponents giving them lots of opportunities with boneheaded actions. 3-6, their recovery seems to be over; losers. -I do like this club. I think theyre one of the "toughest" losing record matchups. Like if my team was a contender, I wouldnt wanna see them on my schedule. I think they could play spoiler. (Redskins/Chiefs/Cowboys/Raiders/Bills...they could ruin someones season). = Losers
Giants - impressive! Managed to lose to the then 0-9 Niners! They look like solid contenders for the first draft pick! -IDK.....Cleveland.....= Losers
Niners - 1-9, yay, no longer winless... but sill losers. -Cleveland Vs '9ers Vs NYG...who wins 1-2-3 in the draft! = Losers Cowboys - looked lost, felt the blow of losing Elliott for six games, next they receive the Eagles; their hopes for the post-season are rapidly dwindling. -Uh Oh.....DC_Fan nightmare continues. Cowboys dying, NE looking like beasts.....I hope he shaves his head not to pull out his hair! = Losers
Texans - going nowhere without their young and excellent injured quarterback. 3-6 now, their season is over. -We cant even tank. No 1st/no 2nd....anyone wanna tell me some talent in Free Agency? = Losers
Broncos - defensive issues, special teams issues, anemic offense... Losers. Yikes......Tom hates playing in Denver...and wow! = Losers Need More Evidence: Seahawks - normally they should be called winners after they moved up to the wild card position if the season ended now, but then, they lost Richard Sherman for the season, in a conference where there is little room for error. Now we'll need more evidence to see how they will manage without their star player. Where they are, it's sufficient to lose a few games to miss the playoffs, so, after this huge loss, we'll need to monitor how they do in the near future. -This is why I said NME last week, I wanna give this team a chance. Sherman sucks...but Graham is a TD catching machine, Wilson is Wilson, they still got D pieces. I like them in the WC slot. = NME
Falcons - phenomenally improved today, like we fans/sympathizers have been expecting. Still, in a division with the Saints and the Panthers, they are not out of the hole yet, so we need to see how they'll do; may or may not make the playoffs. -Look out...this team could nab a wild card slot. Yea..= NME

Anyway, the season is becoming more defined, so it's easier to agree. Maybe when we get closer to the playoffs, there won't be much sense in continuing this series of threads, with many teams clinching and others being eliminated, and the NME list naturally shrinking and disappearing. Because, of course, ultimately 12 teams will end up being winners (temporarily, until some of them start losing in the playoffs) and 20 being losers. Some will be bigger losers than others, but the point of the regular season is to make the post-season, so those who don't, even if they are sort of good teams, they will still be called losers.

He is close to being back to his 2015 self. The Panthers are the kind of team that could peak at the right time (Olsen is coming back at the end of the month) and with the NFL's best defense, they will be a force to reckon with. Winners. According to CBS sports, no team has been eliminated from the playoffs yet. linkI wonder what kind of odds Vegas has on the Giants/Browns facing each other in the Super Bowl and how much they would have to pay out on a $1,000 bet!

The NFC has 10 teams with winning records while the AFC only has 6. Even the sinking Bills would make the playoffs if the season ended today. Impressive how weak the AFC is looking, this season.
10 of the 12 teams that would make the playoffs if the season ended today look like winners, but two of them are a bit shakier and might drop off: the Bills and the Seahawks. I'd guess the Bills will end up ceding terrain to maybe the Raiders if the latter get their act together; the much improved Atlanta of week 10 will be a threat to the Seahawks (could also end up flipping position with the Panthers).
It's unreal, it's not excluded that the NFC South will send three teams to the playoffs: the Saints as division champs and both the Panthers and the Falcons as wild cards. Has this ever happened? The traditionally weak AFC South is looking likely to send two.

So our thread has as winners (adding to the list the bye teams not mentioned on the Week 10 list):
AFC
Steelers Patriots Chiefs Titans Jaguars
NFC
Eagles Vikings Saints Rams Panthers
We have as NME:
AFC
--
NFC
Seahawks Falcons
-----------
The previous list had the bye teams Raiders and Ravens as losers. Even though the Ravens lost three in a row and the Raiders' recovery is shaky, they are probably more accurately described after week 10 as NME because they are next in the wild card race to replace the sinking Bills. The Dolphins are technically there too but I refuse to think that they'll make it; most likely they will keep falling down. The interesting thing is that the Bills would have to go from Losers to NME since they are technically very much alive; I just expect them to keep losing. That's for the AFC.
Regarding the NFC, I think the Seahawks are accurately described as NME because their position is shaky with several good teams breathing down their neck. I do expect the Falcons to be the best candidates to replace them if it happens, so they are also accurately on the NME list. The problem is, the Lions, Packers, and Cowboys are next, and they don't inspire a lot of confidence. I actually think that the Redskins are actually more likely to rise, due to their weak Strength of Schedule. They face the Saints next but from that point on, it's a bunch of losers until the end of the season. So technically maybe the Skins should also be NME. Even the Cardinals are there with the same record as the Skins but I just can't see it.
Week 11 will be very essential to bring a bit more clarity to the picture. The Panthers will have a bye so they'll stay put, and we need to look at what their competitors will do. Week 11 is interesting in the fact that the only team with a winning record that will have a bye is the Panthers. The other three byes are certified losers that are irrelevant to the playoff picture: Jets, Niners, and Colts.
So let's think of what could happen. If the Falcons win against the Seahawks (they play against each other in Seattle) then they obviously replace the Seahawks as most likely remaining playoff team in the NFC as opposed to today's picture. That's a hugely important game and it is a prime time one (MNF). If the Redskins pull off an upset in New Orleans, they will both help the Panthers in the fight for the NFC South, and definitely emerge as a force that could displace other teams, given that they might cruise from that point on (their remaining schedule I keep mentioning has: Giants twice, Cowboys, Chargers, Broncos, and Cardinals). This means that the Redskins look like the ultimate sleepers. The problem for them is that their season may hang on the attempt to upset the Saints. It's a 1 PM game. Maybe it is too much to ask of them and they'll fall down to 4-6, leaving little room for error even with their weak remaining schedule. The Lions could solidify a credible claim as well because they play at the weak Bears so they could put two games between them and the Skins. Their remaining schedule is not bad either except for the game at home against the Vikings; even if they lose that they'd remain one game ahead of the Skins and with also a weak remaining schedule, they are a big obstacle to the rise of the Redskins.
In the AFC, the Jaguars have a favorable week since they play at the Browns while their main competitors the Titans play the short week at the Steelers for TNF. If all goes as expected the Jaguars will put one game between them and the Titans. Buffalo will play on the road against the tricky Chargers; this may be the week when these pretenders the Bills fall off the winning record and go to 5-5. The Ravens need to beat the Packers on the road to challenge the Bills. The Dolphins could survive longer in their hopes for the wild card since the receive at home the horrible Bucs. I don't think they will go anywhere with this, though, because in their remaining schedule the Dolphins get the Patriots twice and the Chiefs once.
