Everyone just has to brush it off? Yes. It's not a big deal. We should be trying to improve society. Making it a criminal offense to grab someoe's ass (or whatever body part) is moving in the wrong direction. If they commit violence, they'd be penalized for it.

Improving society is great, of course it is, but there needs to be some legal repercussions for the serial offenders, even if it is just as a last resort when every other avenue has been exhausted. I'm not saying throw the one time offenders in prison or anything like that, or even give them a criminal record, a caution at very most would be enough, but you can not let the serial perverts run amok in society. Otherwise you'll just end up having people taking things into their own hands when they feel the legal system is letting them down, and society will be worse off as a result.

Improving society involves letting perverts run amok. Improving society involves going the complete opposite direction re casual sexual activity, propositions, etc. than we seem to be going. And it's making it so that people who react violently to perverts are dealt with accordingly.

Well you've lost me now. Exactly, because we're going so ridiculously off the tracks as a society that what I'm saying is difficult for a lot of people to even comprehend as a view.

I think the goalposts have been moved into what classes sexual assault, so much so that smacking or grabbing a womans ass = assault to some, its demeaning the phrase and it makes light of actual sexual assault is. Just like im sure some of these same people would class a throwaway compliment from a guy they dont find attractive as harassment, theres a difference between being a perv and a sexual predator and that fact is completely lost in social media / the media it seems. I mean shit, if every man got fired from their job because of lewd/risqué comments they've made about a woman with their friends, none of us would have jobs!

I'm not in favor of basing consent on age. Just ability per my criteria for consent. I suppose my next question should be "so what exactly is your criteria?", but then if I did ask that I fear the next words you type will overshadow all your previous insanity by some distance, then I'd have to type a long response explaining why your ideas are either unworkable, open to abuse & open to manipulative relationships, so maybe I should just save myself a lot of time & just say "obey the law, coz it aint changing any time soon, and they'll make mincemeat out of you in prison".

I can copy and paste my criteria if you like, but it's long. Hopefully if you were to offer any objections they'd show that you actually read and understood everything I wrote (normally, objections do not evidence that), and then I'd explain why your objections don't hold water--I'd give objections/challenges to your objections and so on. Re "they'll make mincemeat out of you in prison," you have no idea what I'm like personally or what my background is. At any rate, I'm concerned with us trying to change society for the better. So that's what I'll continue to focus on, despite the plethora of bad moves that people are making and encouraging.

How exactly is allowing men to go around molesting women changing society for the better. Any sleazy scummer who can't keep his hands to himself and grabs my daughters arse when I'm around is first off getting chinned, then handed to the polis for a lifetime on the sex offenders register.

Changing society so that men and women have much different attitudes that this current puritanical stream, much different attitudes about propositions and nudity and touching from men and women, towards men and women, much different attitudes about casual sex and polyamory versus monogamy, etc. is for the better, because sex, sexual behavior, etc. is a good thing. Being puritanical towards it, or extremely restrictive and rule-oriented towards it, is not a good thing.

Your idea that men should be able to cop a feel of any woman he likes without consent is fucking nuts. It's assault, end of.
