Which was the better movie? Which aspects did each movie do better than the other?

They each did what they do very well.
I give Thor 3 the edge due to the ending and the fact that it was the most entertaining movie I've seen this year. Glad both of them exist though.

Hard to compare. It's easier to compare Thor 1 and WW. And WW wins that match up.
I do like Thor 3 being a goofy adventure with lots of comedy, but I wouldn't want the same for WW.

I actually would argue Thor 1 wins that match up. The family drama going on there was quite good, and WW's ending was a mess in both story terms and CGI. Also, WW didn't do anything. She got insanely lucky that Ares was on the same side of the war that she joined. What would she have done if he was with the Germans? Also what would she have done if he hadn't have revealed himself to her? And what would she have done if he didn't give her the power she needed to beat him?
Thor 1 was the more complete and well rounded film. Odin played a stronger part. Loki was a stronger part.

Wonder Woman was really good but Ragnarok was great.

Neither was perfect IMO. I liked WW as a character more than Thor (at least when comparing the origin movies). They both make my top twenty CBMs but they don't crack the top 15.

WW herself was a very very very strong character. I totally agree. I just don't see much of any plot going on, and the plot is much deeper in all 3 of the Thor films, and the effects I would say are better as well as a deeper roster of stronger characters.
The thing I would say, is I don't know why I would watch WW again. There wasn't enough going on to get anything else out of it.

Wonder Woman is definitely a better movie.
Wonder Woman didn't have to rely on any useless cameos. Ragnarok had a useless cameo by Doctor Strange (which was just as useless as the Civil War cameos by Spider-Kid, Ant-Man, and Hawkeye - take those 3 characters out of Civil War and it doesn't change the story at all).
Also, Wonder Woman had more likable characters that you can root for. Ragnarok was full of dickheads. We find out that Odin has been a real dickhead, a brutul and ruthless conqueror who had an Executioner execute anyone who dared to disobey him. Even Thor was a real dickhead. In Wonder Woman, Diana could've squashed Doctor Poison (who created the poisonous gas that killed an entire village of people and that Steve Trevor made the ultimate sacrifice to destroy) with the tank but she showed mercy (similar to Superman saving Lex from being pulverized by Doomsday even after Lex kidnapped and threatened to kill his mother), but in Ragnarok, Thor puts the Grandmaster's neutralizer device on Loki's back and leaves his brother to be captured or killed. Loki was fortunate that the other prisoners found him, but Thor was a ruthless and merciless dickhead who just abandoned his brother to be captured or killed.

Wonder Woman is definitely a better movie. If you're into that "grounded" stuff instead of something wondrous. It's called using the Shared Universe to create a story. The comics do this all the time. And WW needed artificial boosters and threats of misandry to scare critics, which is worse than bringing in any other characters. It was to show that he'd changed the rules of the Sorcerers so now they wouldn't ignore non-Dormammu threats because one question about Dr Strange was why they didn't intervene earlier. Worldbuilding. Not really. Just more non-alien characters, since people ashamed of comics don't like them. Most Kings and Queens who had Empires WERE. They didn't get the easy kid's gloves treatment Hippolyta got. Like a fool. Because Loki had betrayed him. This is called character development.

They seem to have issues with strong female characters or, lets be honest, women in general. This is based on the numerous posts here where they talk about how they hate women.

That's because MCU hates strong female characters. MCU has always made female characters supporting characters and won't have a female-led movie in their 1st 20 movies and 10 years and wouldn't have made Captain Marvel if WB hadn't announced a Wonder Woman movie first.
DCEU has always respected female characters while MCU has always made female characters weak. In The Avengers, MCU had Black Widow running scared from the Hulk. In MoS, Martha Kent was choked by Faora but she didn't run and instead stood up to Zod and told Zod to go to hell. That's why MCU fans didn't like MoS. Because MCU fans can't handle strong female characters.

No, the reason they didn't make a female led movie was because of Ike Perlmutter. As soon as he was gone, they started work on Captain Marvel.

Well, only 1 of these 2 films has been mentioned as a strong contender for a Best Picture Oscar and that isn't Ragnarok.

Not true...it would make it less awesome. The entire epic airport scene would go away or be greatly diminished.

Sure...Black Widow never existed. You of course missed every scene she ever had that depicted her as strong and overcoming obstacles. She was actually the coolest character in Iron Man 2. Oh wait....Marvel made her a main strong female character long before DC made WW. And about that....DC could have made a "strong female character" decades ago. What a coincidence they waited all these years. Sure....DC was just dying to get WW out there, weren't they? And those progressive DC fans were just clamoring for her, weren't they? Or not. Kinda late to pretend DC is this noble advocate for women's rights now.
