That's because MCU hates strong female characters. MCU has always made female characters supporting characters and won't have a female-led movie in their 1st 20 movies and 10 years and wouldn't have made Captain Marvel if WB hadn't announced a Wonder Woman movie first.
DCEU has always respected female characters while MCU has always made female characters weak. In The Avengers, MCU had Black Widow running scared from the Hulk. In MoS, Martha Kent was choked by Faora but she didn't run and instead stood up to Zod and told Zod to go to hell. That's why MCU fans didn't like MoS. Because MCU fans can't handle strong female characters.
Marvel made her a main strong female character long before DC made WW. Black Widow ran like a coward from the Hulk. You call that a strong female character? Wonder Woman wouldn't have run like a coward from the Hulk. Heck, even Martha Kent wouldn't have run like a coward from the Hulk. Even Martha Kent has more courage than Black Widow.

Apparently the Amazons' costumes in WW were not revealing enough. They fixed that for JL. Leather bikinis for "women's rights"!:

Pfffffffft Thor beats WW. I did not care for WW as much as everyone else seems to. Most of the rabid mcu fans hate Wonder Woman. They seem to have issues with strong female characters or, lets be honest, women in general. This is based on the numerous posts here where they talk about how they hate women. I thought Wonder Woman was a great film, and I'm an MCU fan.

No, we hated Man of Steel for other obvious reasons, like its stupidity.

Wonder Woman is definitely a better movie. Your opinion. I say it wasn't. Because characters never pop up for a panel or 2 in a comic book. They needed to find Odin. Dr Strange is the protector of the earth from magical threats of which Loki is. Had Strange NOT reacted to Loki, you'd have bitched about why didn't Dr Strange notice Loki. Had those other characters not shown up in Civil War, it's not exactly a war, is it? ...let's go to a bar to create our motley crew, but not as many crew as the Howling Commandos had. He was willing for all the Asgardians to die in Dark World in his grief for his wife. He HAS been a major jerk in the comics. Nope. ...so bloody what? Thor could have killed Loki at any point in this movie or the last Like Steve Rogers in First Avenger? Yeah for her? Valkyrie's little toy? He could have tied him to a rock under a poisonous snake so the poison burns his skin when it drips in his skin. [/p]
Loki is adopted. A Jotunn who killed his Jotunn father & weakened his adopted father causing his death & all that happened including releasing Hela. Besides, Thor knew Loki would survive. He already mourned his death in Dark World.

My grandmother was stronger Hell, I'm stronger than the character in this damned movie. You think this is a strong woman? Do you have any strong women in your life? Sorry. I find stronger females in Supergirl. Agent Carter was a stronger female character. I hate badly written female characters. I see them as insults to my gender & all the strong pioneer women that built this country. My grandmother discovered her husband had never divorced his first wife so she threw him out & took care of her half dozen on her own. When she saw a neighbor child fall into a runoff swollen river, she saved the child, nearly drowning herself. Don't cry to me about strong women.

I know plenty of strong women little boy. I don't need them in a comic book movie. But Agent Carter kicked ass. So does Supergirl present a stronger female hero And the gals of SHIELD. She was getting him to a spot, dearie. You that blind you can't follow plot? [/p]
No. Martha keeps telling Clark to run, that he doesn't owe the world anything. She is not strong. MoS was hated for the poor version of Supes. Some critics pointed out the reason WW was a success was because she WANTED to be a hero in the same way Marvel heroes choose to be heroes. Kal-El is reluctant to be a hero in MoS. He has to ask a bloody priest what to do. No. Kal-El is like Steve Rogers. He is supposed to have a strong moral compass

As if I placed an order we have yet another mcu fanatic that amazingly just happens to have a relative that incredibly enough perfectly fits the narrative they are desperately trying to prove. In this case meh is not only stronger than Wonder Woman her granny is as well and she also raised a dozen churren all alone after discovering her nefarious husband was still married and then granny lept into a raging river (probably during a blizzard) and saved a tiny baby and I'm assuming a puppy as well. This is hilarious. I was just talking about this phenomena among the mcu crew on this site. Too bad granny didn't have the intelligence of a comic book character or she could have avoided getting conned by a deadbeat for a few decades while popping out all those churren. Nothing says strong like getting conned by some idiot that got booted out by his first wife. Speaking of insults, all that tripe about "strong pioneer women" and what you perceive as badly written female characters being an insult seems like bad fan fiction written by a guy posing as a woman. Reading it was an insult to my intelligence. Now instead of your usual personal stories about fictional relatives, perhaps you can tell us all why WW is not a positive female character. Since overwhelmingly others see her as one I'm sure you can enlighten them as to why they are wrong.

Look at you. Misogenystic jerk, aren't you? Half a dozen is 6, fool. Grandma died in the 70s around age 81 Meaning we're talking about events that took place closer to WWI when she lived on a homestead in the Midwest while her traveling salesman husband bounced back & forth between 2 families. Bit easier. Less connected world then. Can you even imagine the world back then? Phones weren't even common. Tvs didn't exist. Movies were silent. Real funny men taking advantage of women. So you are one of these asses that thinks there are no women on the net? I sure as hell am not giving you enough info for you to doxx me. I don't do social media. Sorry you lack personal experience so you can't believe others that have lived. Millions of idiots watch the Kardasians. Does that make them positive images of womanhood? Diana doesn't feel real. Sorry I found the gals on Charmed more real gals than Buffy. (Stoooed watching aftwr the 4th season) Buffy felt like a male fantasy of womanhood like a lot of superheroines are. www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-problem-with-female-superheroes/feminisminindia.com/2017/06/12/super-heroines-unrealistic-portrayal/robertjamesbell.wordpress.com/2010/06/19/comic-book-superheroine-breasts/Is it any wonder I hang on the Politics board most of the time? Nerds run to being asses like yourself. I know you. I saw guys just like you back in the 80s when I went to comic shops to get my comics. You think your opinion is all that matters. Heaven forbid someone doesn't like this or That! I think my dislike of X-Men came from so goddamned many men pushing me to buy it in the 80s when the comic didn't interest me.

Well yeah Black Widow is an ordinary human who has a gun that wouldn't do jack to the Hulk. Wonder Woman can fight Doomsday so of course she wouldn't need to run. Martha Kent is probably too old to run and if she didn't she'd have just been flattened.

...Black Widow ... depicted her as strong and overcoming obstacles. Oh wait....Marvel made her a main strong female character long before DC made WW. yeah...oh wait... what a pity Marvel was not strong enough to put that strong female Widow character in her own movie. Or put any female lead into a MCU movie. Pity, pity, pity.
The jealous fanboy delusion is strong with this one. Ever heard of Supergirl, or Catwoman or the 70s WW show, or teh current SG show, or...get the point?
We have a feminist comic book nerds here @deblovesbeccy - would love to hear her informed perspective what company is a tad more couragous with it's female superheros.
Could you be any more desperate? Deal with it, DC saw risk and reaped historical artistic acclaim. Playing it kiddy-kiddy-safe does not get you there.

Thor 3 vs WonderWoman? That's like comparing - Dumb & Dumber to Citizen Kane; or - JunkFood to Slow Food; or - FraggleRock to Ragnarök, or - Raccon Turds to Love!
Difficult,... eh, I'll pass! Know what....I will let the Academy and the Golden Globes decide...

Thor 3 vs WonderWoman? That's like comparing Friday the 13th and Halloween 2. Similarly enough works, with some minor differences. Of course, Ragnarok had more guts because it took WW's very common twist (Hero finds their inner strength) and and turned it on its head (it still isn't enough, so the Hero must resort to unconventional means to triumph by unleashing an even bigger monster) in ways WW never would have had the courage to do. As for DC's "courage" in making a WW movie....they had 70 years to do so and only did it now because the MCU paved the way for them. So yeah, once again DC needed prodding. MCU at least had a reason why they didn't make a female CBM movie yet (Ike Perlmutter). What's DC's excuse?
