John Dickson Carr, with his David Niven-resemblance because of that moustache?  I like changing my avatar from time to time to reflect my own interests. Carr is for detective-stories, for obvious reasons, and this current one of Errol Flynn represents swashbucklers. I can thrown in Russell Kirk or Bill Buckley for politics one of these days...

I think it's a shame less than 1% of Australian-produced TV episodes of the 1960s have survived, though I admit the "less than 1%" figure is including such lost/mostly lost shows like "To Market, Market", " A Woman's View", " Talking Point" and various other series that nobody cares about except me. |
