Where do I start? I guess I'll start with the goods. The good things about BvS is the fight was entertaining, and we get some good performances from Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Jeremy Irons. Now we get to the bads, oh boy, we get an awkward performance by Jesse Esienberg as Lex Luthor, Henry Cavill is still not a great Superman, Lex Luthor's plan is beyond stupid. The writing is once again bad, and they wasted the Death of Superman and Doomsday.
I haven't seen the UE cut, but I heard it was longer, because that's what I want to see. An already long movie to be longer. DC fans, should I watch the UE cut? Will it change how I feel about this movie.
I give it a 5/10.

3/10 for being a big, sloppy mess of a film. And for the filmmakers saying Superman would be more like his traditional self and then having him be even LESS like that in this film.

I'd give it a 6.5 or something. I didn't think it was as bad as reviews made out but it was disappointing.
+ Batman was done pretty well. + Wonder Woman was good. + The action was good again. + The SFX and the score were pretty good.
- Superman got the short end of the stick screentime wise. - Lex Luthor was more like Jim Carreys Edward Nygma. - Superman never should have died. - It was over long which made it boring in parts. - They shoved way too much in to one movie.

Have you seen the R-rated UE cut? BvS isn't getting anymore of my money. Besides, I've been told by everyone who has seen the UE it that's still mediocre.

5/10
Positives: - Cavill is a great Superman - Affleck was a good Batman - Everything involving Wonder Woman - Visually awesome - The whole "Party at Lex's" sequence was great on all sides - Saving Martha was a great sequence, if a bit overly brutal - Entertaining at a purely surface level
Negatives: - Direction of Cavill as Superman - Lack of Hope and overall tone - Lack of Superman doing anything heroic for anyone but Lois - No decent establishment of why Batman went so dark - No part of Luthor's plan makes sense. From the guy in the wheelchair right up to Doomsday - No good establishment of everyone automatically understanding Kryptonite - The "Martha" debacle - The world's greatest detective is somehow the only person who can't figure out Superman is Clark Kent

A 10 and a 9? Come on, whoever you are that put those in, let's be serious alright? Nobody believes you think that. You're kind of the reason these types of poles look silly, and the same goes for whoever is going to mark it a 1. We all know it's bad but it ain't "the room" bad.

3/10. The extended version might skate by with a 4/10 for filling in some plotholes.
Positives:
-Batfleck (performance, look, gadgets, fight choreography, Alfred, nearly everthing) -the music -Wonder Woman -had some decent plot ideas
Negatives:
-Batfleck killing -everything Lex Luthor -everything Doomsday -pretentious Philosophy 101 dialogue -brooding Superman and his Ayn Rand parents -we interrupt BvS for these Justice League teaser trailers -the titular fight scene was lame -Lois Lane the hapless damsal -"Save Martha" -the entire Africa subplot -having to see Bruce Wayne's parents die yet again (in the silliest depiction yet) -the batmobile chase scene

Why isn't 0/10 available as a choice?

If you didn't like it the longer cut will only illuminate a few things here and there, not alter the whole thing.
Though I personally love the movie (call me crazy) I will agree with you on these: Henry Cavill is still not a great Superman, and they wasted the Death of Superman and Doomsday. I think with a director who is more about eliciting good performances from actors Cavill will do better, and yes Doomsday could have been its whole OWN movie, a Justice League movie even. Oh well...

Because they didn't account for jerks?

So people who want to give it 0/10 are "jerks" but those who want to mark it 10/10 are expressing a legitimate opinion?!

People who want to give it 10/10 are going overboard. Lets play nice and put it somewhere realistic in the middle. Does it HAVE to be an extreme when it comes to you and the DCEU? sheesh

Your DCEU related butthurt is boundless. All scales have extremes. I merely asked a question about the absence of a zero on this one. You jumped to conclusions as usual.

4/10. Batfleck is cool, some of the action scenes are very well done, Jeremy Irons is a great fit for Alfred, the opening 10 minutes is excellent, and of course Gal Gadot in her brief screen-time as Wonder Woman. Some members of the supporting cast like Holly Hunter, Diane Lane, and that guy that played KGBeast were fine too. But the pacing and editing is nonexistent, Jesse Eisenberg is a terrible Lex Luthor, the JL tie-ins are unnecessary to the plot, certain characters were entirely pointless, Superman has too little dialogue in his own sequel, and the Doomsday fight was something aside from being poorly done, it was simply just far too early for the DCEU to even attempt.

I'm giving it a 7/10 with the UE in mind. Theatrical version is a 5 or a 6.

That's me: boundless butthurt and jumping to conclusions. Even though we both know I can put up TONS of your posts and threads dissing DC for no real reason.

I gave it a 4/10. I loved Batman and Wonder Women in this, but Lex and Doomsday were awful and it had the worst editing I have ever seen in a major motion picture. It was also boring for most of it, which should never happen in a movie like this.
