A lot of people on the DCEU leaks board on reddit have seen it. Most enjoyed it. Reading about some of the scenes I must say that a couple of the action sequences sound really cool.

None of them will be real. We all know WB pays off critics. They do it too? They really do like to copy Marvel! Lolololololololololololololololololololol

This is currently rated 51% on Metacritic don't sound so good. For comparison: Thor 3 has 73% and WW has 76%. So this is very mixed and sounds like an aquired taste so far. At least we will have fun with the fan reception, I'm already sharpening the cyber knife.

Perhaps but the critic reviews say it's hollow, pointless, and generic. A couple of flashy action sequences but then I'm reading the CGI isn't good and the whole thing just panders to the lowest common denominator. That's an actual statement from collider I think it was.

The first Superman film was pretty basic, really. It only did well because at the time there was no competition and no one knew what to expect from a Superhero film. Put it out today and it wouldn't do as well. The MCU has been redefining how to do CBMs though, in ways that the Donner movie didn't. Heck, none of the Superman movies since then really did much for the genre. Marvel improved on the basic archetype, and DC can't even do that.

Some trace DNA left, but overall they could not survive as the world changed. Or maybe the Sumerians and Akkadians to Marvel's Achaemenids. Started with basic stuff, but not much more.

I know people want to like DC, I totally get it, but I don't know how anybody defends this stuff.
