I don't place much emphasis on these reviews. Thor and Dr. Strange scored high on RT and they were horrible. Maybe JL hitting 37% on RT is a good thing and a film worth seeing.

All movies have high scores on IMDB before they release. A few days before 'Alien: Covenant' released it had like a 9.2. IMDB is well known to be a complete joke. I went there looking for some reviews like 20 minutes after the embargo lifted and there was already 4,000 10/10s from people who hadn't seen the movie. Those 4000 people saw the movie before the embargo was lifted. There were early screenings on Monday night, Nov 13 in dozens of cities across the country. So those 10/10 ratings on IMDb are valid ratings by people who saw the movie.

My favorite critic loved the movie. I rarely trust the opinion of major critics, but I generally agree with Richard Roeper, and he loved it. That makes an interesting point. Which critic is right, and who is wrong. The debate with movies is always the critics don't like it or they do. So which critic is right, and who is wrong? Who determines that? There is no right and wrong when it comes to artistic criticism is there?

Yup and right the movie has an audience score of 86% with an average rating of 8.6/10 so they seem to be liking it, at least the ones who've voted so far. Nobody mentioned the MCU though so no need to be so worried.

So you're now in this position where the box office doesn't matter and the reviews don't matter, the fact that brand is losing fans doesn't matter. So nobody outside the group who like it can voice their opinion, and no negative impact to the brand counts for anything. That's some impressive denial sir. You must make pretzels for a living.

Not in the sense of individuals who decide whether they personally like the movie or not no. The people who saw it and voted on it, like it, which is all that matters as far as they are concerned, not the studio.

Yes I know, let's boil it down to whatever level we have to so we don't have to face the reality of how bad the DCU has been. I get it. I'm just choosing to laugh at it instead, because that's what I'm doing as an individual. So it's my individual thing. We're cool right?

It has nothing to do with how the DCEU is seen, my response was to yours "ratings don't matter as long as everybody enjoys it." which is true. As long as the person paying money who goes to see it enjoys then that's all that matters to them.

Honestly there's a lot of comic book movies that deserved much much lower ratings than they received. But I still enjoy them. So hopefully, I'll still enjoy this one too.
