The guy is stepping it up. The heir apparent to LeBron's throne. Looks like Simmons is doing the same. I know I gave you guys shit about the "process", but your excitement was justified.
I am once again excited to be a Sixers fan.

Gotta admit, they do look pretty good right now. And Ball looks not so good. It's a long season, let's see how it goes.

Tell me about it. Simmons and Embiid are legit superstars and this team is going to be fun to watch for a long time. Embiid is one of the best players I have ever seen. I know that is hyperbole and people will say I am a homer, but he is seriously unstoppable. If he can stay healthy, there is nothing he cannot do. He does not have one weakness on the court. He can shoot from anywhere, plays great defense, and plays like Hakeem underneath. It is insane. Lost in all of the Embiid hype is Simmons already locking up Rookie of the Year. He is a walking (almost) triple double.

I scoffed at frog's longtime assertions that the "process" would pay off but I'm eating my words. Philly look primed to be among the next small group comprising the league's elite for years.

They're going to be a playoff contender if not a title contender so long as they can stay healthy. And that's a big if with this group. Their optimism is warranted, but I still disagree with the philosophy behind 'the process.' The Celtics faded from contenders to 'just another playoff team,' then ditched their aging stars and sucked for one season before returning to the playoffs; they made an ECF appearance 3 seasons after missing the playoffs and look primed to do it again this year. I'll grant you that not everyone has a Pierce and Garnett to switch out for picks, but you can make shrewd moves and draft well instead of feeding your fan base garbage for years on end with the hopes of amassing draft picks (and using them wisely). Regardless, it's nice to see a competitive team (hopefully not too competitive for my C's) in Philly, the fans have certainly earned it.

Yeah but keep in mind it is difficult to get stars to come to Philly. They have had a ton of cap space for years and have not been able to lure free agents. Every star wants to play for Boston or LA.

Al Horford was the first major free agent the Celtics ever signed. The turnaround to being competitive already happened by the time the C's signed him. It was a huge deal around here because free agents never sign with the Celtics. With Horford and Hayward, I hope we've turned a corner.

I think things are going to change very quickly. Being saying it for quite sometime - they're going to become a destination. 5th biggest market or so in the country with a great nightlife, great universities, not far from the beach or mountains. Not too far from NYC. Ton to do for all age groups. I think players are going to see what's going on and jump at the chance to play with Simmons/Embiid (especially how unselfish Simmons is) - of course $$$ talks - but they have a ton of that too. It's nice when you see the likes of Will Smith, Kevin Hart and M Night Shyamalan hanging out in the crowd and supporting the team. And it's nice to see a packed house again and the crowd going nuts.

Keep Shyamalan away from your team, man! The last thing you need is a lame twist everyone saw coming and nobody cared for. Shyamalan was probably Fultz's team doctor!

Sixth Sense Devil (he had a hand in that - tremendous) I even liked 'The Village' and 'The Happening' that critically get destroyed He's redoing the old school HBO Classic 'Tales From the Crypt' too.

Sixth Sense was decent, though I haven't seen it since it was in theaters. Unbreakable is amazing. The problem is it was ahead of its time. If it came out today I think the critical reception would be much different. I even enjoyed Signs more than most people. It only makes sense if you view the aliens as drunk teenagers, but it's a lot of fun. It's all downhill from there though. The Village is the last Shyamalan movie I watched start to finish and it was total garbage. I'm willing to check out the Unbreakable sequel but I don't think I can sit through Split, so I don't know how much sense it will make.

Game started after my bedtime. I'm old and have to wake up at 5:15. Saw the highlights and he is a beast, and Simmons is as advertised. If they can fix Fultz then lookout. I see no issues attracting free agents. They have money, large market, up and coming team, no worries there. And on an unrelated note, The Happening is one of the worst pieces of trash ever captured on film. Mark Wahlberg is no Olivier but he should have been shot for that performance. Shyamalan should be relegated to making training videos for KFC.

I love Honest Trailers and have seen them all. This is easily the best one. The Happening was terrible. So was The Last Airbender and Lady in the Water. However, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Devil were great.

However, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Devil were great. I thought 'Devil' was great. Saw it in the theaters years ago during Halloween season. Own it - love it - give it a watch once a year or so. Obviously I'm being a 'homer' but one of the things I love about Shyamalan's movies is Philly and the tri-state area is typically incorporated in the backdrop/setting/atmosphere since he's from around this area. Think there's a scene in 'Devil' where the security guards are watching a Flyers/Pens game.

IDK why people are on Ball so hard. Kid posted a triple double, he looks superior to Fultz. Fultz is already hurt, Ball is gonna take time. Lets be real....wtf does Ball have? Kyle K is his most legit scorer, this team cant fn score.
Lopez isnt a scorer. Ingram will get you 15-17. Pope...yea, no. Lance is hurt. Kyle atm is avg the most points for this team. LAL need a star.

Maybe Fultz will be a bust - who knows. Maybe Ball will be a bust - who knows. I'm rooting for both of them. But Fultz is on the shelf - it's like criticizing a race horse sitting out the Preakness, Derby and Belmont because the horse has a fractured ankle.
