(Spoilers)
I just noticed something cool while watching the DS9 episode Inter 'Arma Enim Silent Leges', that I only caught now despite seeing the episode loads of time
Bashir has a meeting on Romulas and Section 31 guy Sloan wants Bashir to "take the pulse of the Romulan government" as he puts it, Sloan thinks the Klingons and Cardassians will be rebuilding for awhile after the war and that the Romulans will still pose a threat and Bashir says back "The war with the Dominion isn't even over yet and you are already planning the next"
I always saw that as a sort of throw away line that Bashir was just annoyed with Sloan but it hindsight its really interesting
Section 31 created the Morphegenic virus that is killing the Founders (Starfleet doesn't even know about the virus at this point) so Sloan knows that the war will be over soon and will result in a victory for the Federation.
What do you think?

Yep, good point. Sloan knows that the war is won already - the worst that will happen is that once the Founders are gone the remaining Vorta and Jem'Hadar will run wild and inflict massive damage along the way. But in the end it won't matter. They'll all be gone and that's that.
Personally, I would never have cured the Founders of the virus. Let it take them.

Let it take them. once the countermeasure to the dominion's game changer was found. the outcome was pretty much determined. I do wish to point out one thing Graham THAT is the reason the founders don't trust solids. Julian and Miles knew they had a duty once they found out to0 do something and while it seemed it was just for Odo I believe it was for more but then again i could just be reading into who Julian is.

I disagree with your saying that this is why the Founders don't trust solids. They don't trust solids because of the past discrimination they've experienced from solids, and arguably because they regard solids as chaotic, which is at odds with their desire for order.
I'm not suggesting letting them die out of hatred, but because of the threat they represent. I would never start a war against the Founders, but once a war like that is started I'd have fought it to the finish.
