Only once for me. I was driving east to west on Interstate 80, which cuts clean across the State of Iowa. But that's the only time.

I lived there for about 5 years. It has its charm, but it feels isolated due to all the large farms.

I've never been there.
Also, I did a check and I've never posted an Iowa TV schedule on my many vintage TV schedule threads. Maybe I should post one tomorrow?

I spent the night in Sioux City once and the next day drove across the state. At Iowa City I turned south to Hannibal, Missouri. The few Iowans with whom I had contact were amiable people.
That was one day of a giant circle I was making with my father to see the sights of the midwestern and mountain states. Our trip started in Florida and went as far west as Yellowstone and as far north as North Dakota.

Including driving through it, at least 10 times, probably not more than 20. I don't know for sure. I've had gigs in Iowa a handful of times, and then I've driven through it on the way to other gigs a number of times--you're going to drive through it if you're going from Chicago to Denver, or Kansas City to Minneapolis, for example. I've been in most states probably at least 10 times if we're including driving through them to get someplace else. Either because of gigs, because I had to drive through them to get to a gig, or because I like the state a lot and make a point to visit. I particularly have a love of the "western interior (non-coastal) states"--I like the relative desolation of them combined with unusual landscape features, etc.

...I drank Pickett's beer in Dubuque. I have been there several times. When I go to Galena IL, I usually make a stop in Dubuque.
