Was it too short, yes, could it have used more character development yes. But overall it’s action packed. You finally get to see the true power of Superman. Clearly steals the show.
On a side note, wonder why the cut out the scene from trailer #3 where Alfred says “ you said you’d come, now let’s hope you are not to late”. Was it a superman reference or green lantern ?

The writers for BvS and Justice League sucked big time. What was the point of seeing the dirt from Superman's grave rise in BvS when that had NOTHING to do with him coming back to life in Justice League?

Liked it too, though severely flawed.

While I wouldn't go as far as to say it was terrible, it sure wasn't masterpiece. The unfortunate, or poorly chosen, release date might have an impact on how many people will go to see it but its issues go way beyond that. A major problem, if not the biggest one, is also found in its competitor Thor:Ragnarok. The baseline, or backstory, of all the characters take so much time, it feels like it lasts between ½ and ¾ of the overall runtime. You go all over the place to "know" ( Aquaman going home for the cube fight raised more questions than it answered, at least for me ) more about each character but it feels like the movie isn't going anywhere then "BAM" you reach the apex of the final battle and it lasts 10-15 minutes with no gradation to it. Shouldn't the whole story be a long crescendo leading to the point where the bad guy is defeated? Another thing that might annoy some people is the tone. It wasn't chosen in Justice League, it was already set in previous movies (BvS, Wonderwoman, Man of Steel, etc.) so it couldn't be changed without making a clear separation with those film (which would be undesirable for the way the studios want to present them to us). That serious, dark and to an extent, depressing, tone is not fun nor desired by everyone. While some people might not want it to be as lighthearted as it was in the Reeves era for Superman, it makes the jokes pace-breaking. They are just as childish or prepubescent as those in the Marvel movies but since Marvel makes more lighthearted films, it doesn't clash quite as much. While I agree it was fun to see the extent of Superman's powers, he was so better or stronger than the others that the movie could have been titled Superman and his minions. No one could match or really get close to Steppenwolf but even he was like "Oh shit!" when he said "The Kryptonian" in the final battle. Also, when Superman frozen Steppenwolf axe/hammer/whatever-that-is , he just stood there smiling while waiting for Wonder Woman to break it. Instead of a cooperation between the good guys it felt like they were like "Just wait until SuUperman gets here, he's gonna wipe the floor with your ***!". It should have been that Superman was pretty even with Steppenwolf and the others combining their powers and strength on top of Superman made things go their way, not simply Superman smiling while smacking around the bad guy . As for the rest, the runtime was OK but it felt like they had material for 6 hours and packed it into 2 hours. The acting was on par with what we had seen in the other movies leading to this one and it was the same with the visual effects. Am I the only one who was somewhat surprised from the way Alfred was dressing? It was entertaining but had too many flaws and nothing that would be worth a rewatch. 6/10

Now this was the superman they needed in bvs totally made batman have a brown stain moment ... Do you bleed? class! Shows supes if he wanted to could smash all the JL on his own and pretty much does so until his Valium wears off, top tip they need to get him drunk again like in the old ones you don't see him angry much but when he is batman does a queef

Just got back from it. It was so good to see everyone get together and of course, the return of Superman. I do wish the distribution of power had been a bit more even though, instead of Superman being clearly superior to even Wonder Woman and Aqua Man, who have Amazonian and Atlantean blood in their veins.
It was also good to see cameos by Lois Lane and Super Man's mommy.

With the Alfred thing in the trailer,I believe it was meant to be for Superman. I guess because I thought somehow Superman was gonna get out of the grave on his own. I don't even believe there were any hints to Green lantern yet. If there were then maybe I missed them.

Yes, logically that scene with Alfred would've been after Lois told Clark that he should go and help the League. Superman wouldn't have known where to find Steppenwolf and the League so he would've gone to the Batcave and Alfred would've told them where they went.
There was a Green Lantern in the ancient battle when the Amazons, Atlanteans, all the tribes of Man, and the Olympian Gods fought against Steppenwolf.

It was enjoyable, but I expected more from the JL's first adventure.
That, and Superman made them all redundant. But this has already been a problem in the comics too.

The movie was enjoyable, but the CGI was bad during portions of the movie.

Overall it was alright for a popcorn flick, I would give it a 6/10.
The problem though is that it should have been much more. The characters were interesting, but all their plots were crammed together. The movie for its nature should have been 2 and 1/2 hours at least, if not 3. Not enough time at all given to the characters. The villain was as 1-dimentional as a Power Rangers bad guy. Crazy that they barely gave a cameo to Doomsday last movie, but here devoted an entire film to El Generico. Batman vs Superman was definitely better.

Diana is talking to Cyborg on the street, attempting to convince him to join forces with the league. She goes into a personal monologue about her experiences as to feel emphatic to how he feels and Cyborg just shoots off into the sky leaving Diana\WW looking dumbfounded. She was boring him. This part was hilarious, because it was like a deliberate in-joke, of Snyder poking fun at his own boring movie. This guy just cannot direct his actors well, there was hardly any chemistry between them, the humor was forced and unspontaneous and it was all pretty much routine and ho-hum. Even the action scenes and CGI were derivative and without originality or flavor. There were no 'real' layers to the films story or context, as there was no subtext, and the only part that I thought was vaguely interesting, was when Clark\Superman was brought back to life and he was confused and psycho. The whole experience of this film, was just going through banal motions of what was set out in the script\storyboards and to get it completed, and then vomited onto the audience. Joss Whedon took over and changed quite a bit...Of course it would have sucked either way.
