This was surprisingly fun.
Never heard of it but was googling "best post-apocalyptic films" and it came up so I gave it a watch. The whole premise is pretty dumb but it was generally entertaining and never got boring. I'm hearing there's a TV series in the process of being made.
The ending was a little annoying.

I loved this movie! You definitely have to suspend disbelief for most/all of it, but it is one hell of a ride. It was fun seeing Chris Evans a little more brutal than in his Marvel movies. The action/choreography was way better than I was expecting. I'm surprised it doesn't get more love than it seems to. One of my favorite Tilda Swinton roles as well.
The ending drops the ball a little bit, but it didn't really bother me too much.
A TV show sounds interesting...I'd watch it.

Yeah I dug this one. Some of the action sequences are bat shit crazy in this . Overall, an entertaining/engaging sci fi film on a futuristic train 7.5/10

An above average dystopian future action flick, mostly for its unique concept of a frozen earth with the last remnants of humanity surviving in a train that is continuously circling the globe. The action and fighting doesn’t show enough imagination to distinguish it from any other action flick. OK for anyone looking for a bit of variation in action movies about what a lousy future we have in store for us.

I liked it up to the ending as well. I get what they were going for. *In case some haven't seen it* But killing off the entire train population save for just two people, one of them a child seemed stupid. Humanity is fucked. The ending scene with them watching a polar bear and figuring out the planet is habitable would work just the same if most of the people onboard survived. Really underwhelming.

The idea of a super train is fine-set it in the future or an alien planet-but the idea that it could exist in a catastrophic ecology collapse is really stretching credibility way too much, like Bruce Banner's pants in Ang Lee's the Hulk.

I watched this the other day. Took me three hours to watch because it was so slow so I paused it for ages and did other things. One of the bad guys looked like Christopher Hitchens.

I can understand why people don't like it, but I loved it. Fun, even hilarious at times, but also powerful and tense. A 9/10 from me.

I would have made more sense for the train to be much wider (given that they were meant to survive on it forever) and for some kind of explanation for the track maintenance.
