Unless you've got some science on this I'm unaware of, everything I've read on the matter suggests it is. Not really. Are you suggesting the physical differences between Sub Saharan Africans and East Asians are not real? Why are blood and organ donors more likely to be a match for a person from the same ethnic group?

When people talk about race being a social construct and others are denying it, the point of dispute is never about the kinds of differences you mention here, and such differences aren't really how we divide races anyway (at least not socially).

All forms of classification are human constructs, so I'm not sure what point the assertions serves.

Yes, but some forms of classification make sense given a certain sets of facts (like most scientific classifications), while others are only based on superficial observations (how most classify "race") that makes no other valid inferences to any other facts.

I don't know why people fight it. If someone came to me and said they identified as a duck, I'd throw bread at them and move on with my day.

I laughed so hard at that guy..
But, I also think he might be on to something.
If race is a subjective state of mind, then there is no cause for racism.
America seems to try to combat racism with MORE RACISM.. Maybe 'Your race is a state of mind' is the answer?

I'd be fine with that, but the problem is that Trump needs a cause to unify his supporters.
