lol i was reading up on the manson family all day yesterday. maybe that was what killed him. nicer, houellebecq is ssuggesting that manson killed tate and the others out of sexual jealousy. according to houellebecq, sexuality is a system of social heirarcy with its winners and losers. manson was a loser. so he killed some winners.
manson did have his own harem though (though i think none of them women were as hot as sharon tate). so maybe houellebecq is wrong.

That does seem wrong. Apparently Manson was like an indie rockstar and had the pick of the litter. Master manipulators like Manson probably get tired of sex and move beyond it in their mid to late 20s. It was more likely about professional jealousy that he couldn't make it as a musician. |
